And even if someone did learn the passives from chapter 4, it came out 3 months ago so I don't blame them for forgetting it.
These repetitions wouldn't even be that bad if it weren't for the 200 turn limit they give you, even if that limit is generous it still adds a level of frustration to all the tedious shit you have to fight through.

What I have an issue with is that PM (after the sanity rework fiasco) have just settled for balancing under the assumption you're always at 95% chance of heads, in addition I dislike how the clash system is pretty all or nothing, if the enemy or you loses just one head to head the entire roll is just fucked in most cases. Then we're talking about EGO design where it's also all or nothing when they just become "I win the clash" buttons with no personality

Honestly just being able to reroll for good skills/speed at the start of an encounter would make it significantly easier.
Any time a sinner gets into the phase of 'now you have to use 3 useless S1s in a row' (and several will get into this phase at once) and the given encounter has 0 room for losing clashes it feels hopeless on later loops.
The obvious thing to do would be to use EGO but even that won't win certain clashes and needing to use a ton of EGO each fight is unsustainable.
I assume the idea is that when you break his body, you would be doing a shitload of damage so even if he was resistant to everything next turn he would have very low health
In practice he has nearly 500 fucking health and which is more like 1000 (being generous since he inflicts plenty of fragile on himself) and also resistant to everything so you either save the steam vent for the latter half of the fight or just sinking deluge him into hell
On my second loop I did ~700 damage to him on the turn his body broke and he went into the last phase with only 40 health remaining.
Either PM intends for you to manage his stagger and do massive burst damage when you can or they want you to stack debuffs such as burn and sinking which aren't affected by the damage resist.

This is my absolutely biggest issue with LCB. I can deal with the simplified combat system. What I can't deal with is multi-hit attacks having one damage type across all of their hits, when some are clearly cuts, other stabs, and others again are blunt impacts.

I like my idea where it was 14 fights with 7 nodes that have an A fight and a B fight and you choose if you'll do A or B for each node, then you do the one you didn't do on your 2nd loop.

Low turn count is even worse with the new changes. If you get bad skill RNG on loop 5 you're just fucked because the only way to change it is to fully restart the run.
Doesn't really help. R Heathcliff getting 6 speed quick suppression turn 1 is the difference between a 4 turn clear and a 6 turn clear. Bad RNG you can't reset for really adds up over a 5 cycle run.

And even if someone did learn the passives from chapter 4, it came out 3 months ago so I don't blame them for forgetting it.

Any time a sinner gets into the phase of 'now you have to use 3 useless S1s in a row' (and several will get into this phase at once) and the given encounter has 0 room for losing clashes it feels hopeless on later loops.
The obvious thing to do would be to use EGO but even that won't win certain clashes and needing to use a ton of EGO each fight is unsustainable.

In practice he has nearly 500 fucking health and which is more like 1000 (being generous since he inflicts plenty of fragile on himself) and also resistant to everything so you either save the steam vent for the latter half of the fight or just sinking deluge him into hell
On my second loop I did ~700 damage to him on the turn his body broke and he went into the last phase with only 40 health remaining.
Either PM intends for you to manage his stagger and do massive burst damage when you can or they want you to stack debuffs such as burn and sinking which aren't affected by the damage resist.

For me it's centipede. His mechanics necessitate you win every single clash so he doesn't gain charge, then he goes and doubles his charge anyway so finishing him off is even sloggier
Centipede is god awful. It's an even worse turn stalling fight than the K corp guys were in RR1 since it has guaranteed invulnerability for several turns.
I can't complain enough about the centipede. What a waste of EGO resources and every single S3 or good S2 that appears because you have to throw it at an enemy with 1 HP that refuses to die until a set time passes
The best cope I have for you is they put the intern in charge of the treadmill mode and the actual dev time is going into chapter V or preferably the next games. Don't take the enemy buff for increased enemy HP cause it sucks balls.
It's literally that easy. You can then win-rate 80% of turns and then use mild brain power whenever the enemy uses a big skill.
