Getting close to finishing Lob Corp. Maybe I'm in the minority but I'm really gonna miss the real time agent management. It's almost like a 2D RTS. Seeing their attacks go off while they're munched on by an abno is really cool, and trying to upkeep them with your sniper makes it a little more engaging than a full on auto-battle along with the jank ass way you have to get them to move. I'm sure Library is going to be great, but I wouldn't mind seeing another game that explores something as real time as this.

This led to me spending my junior year in a basic bitch english class that had people just now learning how to read and at least some of them still holding the fucking thing upside down. We were given a task to spend an entire month reading Frederick Douglas' autobiography. I read the first chapter and realized how painful it was really going to be so in my bright mind I walked my miserable ass up to the teacher and straight up threatened to kill myself if I had to spend a month reading something I could finish before class let out. The next day I was handed Ulysses and her AP student's assignments. I spent the next month wondering if I really was retarded for not just going for the easy A, but overall enjoyed that time a lot more learning to read into motifs, author's intent, and subtext. So yes, of my own fucking volition I made a choice to not be a fucking victim of the godawful American education system and you could have just as easily done the fucking same.

Kromer feels pretty fucked right now, I guess it's supposed to be content for maxed out characters but I really thought I'd be able to do it with level 25s. Was using LCB Hong Lu, Mersault, Outis and Heathcliff and Zwei Sinclair and I don't think I won a single clash outside of ego attacks. Barely lived through phase one only for everyone to either panic or instantly stagger+++ in the first round of phase 2.
I did it with 25s and a 17 all default.

Requires more strategy with making sure you win clashes, using ego to assure get real high probability clash wins for dangerous stuff or to save an ally, and building ego resources.
For first phase keep an eye out for "I will kill you" or some move like that and be sure you have an ego move ready to clash it. You can essentially shut down her entire turn by having your fastest one in the turn order winning that clash with their ego (also selecting them last). It will auto stagger her and open her for big damage and moving her close to her second stagger line. Beware to NOT try to nuke her to 0 and not clash, keep an eye on her other moves if you are getting close. She will still get her full turn leaving her to beat your shit in if you focus fired one slot to end the phase.
second phase watch for the body triple attack and the aoe saving/using ego moves as necessary. Main body is fatal to blunt and one of the arms is shit against slash I think.
Moves that lower enemy offense like Faust's green, Meursault's ego and such help a lot for the clashing. Yi Sang surprisingly saved my ass a lot when he was my lowest leveled guy. Had a lot of resource for his EGO move which gives haste boost and lowers target's offense which helps on that turn and the next.
IIRC using chains of others every 2-3 turns to make sure her big moves that NEED to lose clashes come out with atkpwr down 4 makes the fight a lot more manageable

Is there a faster way to beat abnos for dailies? I forget if there's an encounter with them in chapter 1 that isn't in the big dungeon but I don't really want to go into a 2 hour affair to do that for a daily..
Use the chapter 2 dungeon, first fight there is abnormalities, and then forfeit to get your modules back.

It's easy to keep from breaking out but as soon as it does you probably want to reset the day. It's a huge time waster and will deal non-stop white damage to your entire facility. Obviously all of your clerks are dead but you also have to outheal it which can mean plopping your agents in the recovery room. This also assumes all your agents are 5/5/5/5 or close to it.

Everything about "gifted" children programs disgusts me. Some kids just learn certain abilities faster than others, some kids are naturally better at math and reading and whatever subjects but that doesn't mean that they're gonna be the next Einstein. If you give them special treatment and tell them "you only get straight As' you're so smart" "you're a really smart kid you can do anything you want" you put so many expectations into the kid's head and when they reach higher levels of education and start fucking up in tests and shit they're gonna think that they're failures and a disappointment because they're not reaching they're peer's expectations. Just treat every kid as equal and if one of them excels in something at most just tell them something small like "Hey, really nice job kid keep at it".
No, actually this is exactly what's wrong with our education system because it forces you to teach everyone at the bottom of the barrel level because god forbid you just let students fail. You've also probably never seen what happens when you stuff an actual genius in these classes. They get bored, they stop giving a fuck, and on a good day might help you teach the other kids but otherwise will just goof off because they, unlike the other kids, don't need to spend a month reviewing material.
There are numerous issues with the gifted program, but giving the kids challenging work isn't one of them.
You have it backward. The problem with the gifted programs in most school boards is that they don't specialize or differentiate. I taught a gifted class last year and in order to qualify you had to test as gifted in any subject. I had a bunch of 'language geniuses' (which was a joke because they could barely string a paragraph together. I guess they just read a lot or something) who were three years below grade level at math and a few math autists who couldn't learn any kind of humanity or English to save their lives. As a result I had to simultaneously prepare material about a grade level or so above their age for the students that actually did excel at any given subject and then also run the full gambit up to about 2 years behind grade level for the people who were retarded at it.
Gifted programs should either be something you get pulled out of regular class for (eg: your class has math but because you are gifted in math there is a special meeting/class for all math gifted students at the same time as the 'academic' or regular math programs) or they should only allow students genuinely gifted in every subject.
Treating everyone equally is the biggest failing of modern education and has resulted in so much data-manipulation to make it seem like everyone is succeeding that it would make the general public sick if they actually understood and believed what was going on.

Before that, it was all based on IQ which is... not as bad as single-subject gifting. But being an avid problem solver turns out to not necessarily make you understand every subject, have good study habits, or in general like school.
One of the fun parts of going to uni for engineering was finding out that just about every single one of my peers was also a "gifted student" that also get fucking slaughtered by uni because we all coasted through grade school and thus never developed studying habits.

Faust (Bayard Taylor translation > the rest) is pretty lyrical and simple to follow without ever getting too deep or introspective. It's like Shakespeare but without all the difficult phrases or archaic language that make students hate Shakespeare
Metamorphosis is relatively short and, while strange, is not a difficult read.
Don Quixote is amazing and very long but very worth it. If you can get Dore's illustrations to go with it you're golden. Extremely funny and poignant.
from there it gets difficult.
The Odyssey is one of the greatest stories in history but is extremely difficult for a novice to parse if you aren't familiar with how to read Homer or other epics.
Moby Dick is apparently very good but it's also dry as hell. Difficult to get through and requires a fair bit of patience and commitment as a reader.
Crime and Punishment is 'okay' but Robert Louis Stevenson's "Markheim" is just a better version of the same basic concept. Also I got filtered hard by characters having multiple names (Raskolnikov, Looshin, Rodion, are all the protagonist and I think some other characters also have a few different names). Story hits the climax in the first act and then there's a lot of meandering before it gets interesting again. I think Dostoevsky is overrated and both Tolstoy and Gogol are better Russian authors.
L'Etranger is something you should probably read in French. I've not checked out the English version.
Divine Comedy is 2/3 trash but Inferno is pretty cool. Better to read a summary than the full thing though. Unless you are into the poetry Dante's writing isn't actually all that good in my opinion. It's kind of funny that he put in people who were still alive at the time that he just didn't like and now centuries later we still read about those people he thought were assholes and going to hell.
I haven't read the asian stuff or Wuthering Heights. I didn't care for Bronte.
