Resident Evil games from 1~4.
Excellent story, great atmosphere, amazing style.
Controls suck giant fucking dicks, fixed cameras and tank controls are terrible. Not that had troubles with the games or didn't understand them, I finished all of them, I just hated how they played.
I have fond memories of KotOR when it came out. I have not successfully managed to play through the entire thing a second time despite many attempts since.
This is how I feel about Civilization games. I know that five is technically better than 4 but I just play beyond the sword constantly because of the mod support and I spent most of my childhood playing that game with my older brother.
>games pre-mouselook >games where you didn't have one or two activation buttons, but an entire drop down list of actions, like stepping onto a staircase and picking "UP", past down, open, close, lockpick, etc. >3D games with 4-directional dodges/movement (though I like Dark Souls 1, t.b.h.) >games emulating tabletop mechanics when it doesn't make sense to, like Morrowind's infamous accuracy mechanic >RPGs before they implemented stat comparisons for your equipment, so you either had to flip back and forth between the shop and your character, or consult the manual >RPGs where you had 20 races, 30 classes and 90 weapon types and none of this is explained in-game >Morrowind's hand-to-hand making you punch until they pass out (hopefully), then punch them on the ground, repeat until dead >Elder Scrolls 1-3's stealth mechanics >Monster Hunter pre-World/Rise/MHGU, with hardly any flow to the combat and just smashing things with repetitive moves with select few weapon types and you were supposed to accept it because the weapons are huge >ES 1/2's janky-ass weapon swing mechanic >Morrowind's ranged combat intermingling with the accuracy rolls, meaning you have to both aim correctly AND get a good dice roll, so an arrow doesn't fly through someone like it glitched >RPGs where you can't attack in mid-air despite flying enemies existing, so you have to bait them into flying lower, or you have to get up onto a rock and hope it's the right height >RPGs where you can't attack under water because the animators got lazy and didn't want to bother, so you have to stand at the shoreline and hope the enemies get close enough to hit >Starbound and Terraria's melee weapons with the horizontal attacks you can't aim, though I think Terraria fixed most of them?
Ironically this is the easiest Infinity Engine game to get into because you only make slight differences to your stats at the beginning and is very lenient to what you can get away with in terms of builds.
>people itt naming only new shit that still plays fine
absolutly pathetic
shit like the original alone in the dark or ultima 1 would definitly fit
old ass ccrpg games where you needed to study the instruction manual and get by extremly obscure puzzles you wouldve never figured out without a guide
also you can easily fuck yourself over and brick your safe file
thats what i consider to be clunky
not shit like the RE1 controls or any gta before 4
fucking underage homosexuals go die
Goldeneye
Ocarina of Time and Mario 64
underageb& thread
Fire Emblem Gaiden
Gaiden's more fucking slow than tellius but without it echoes would not exist so I appreciate its existence
Every GTA before IV

>RE4
Literally the most easy to play, straightforward, well and fast paced videogame ever created.
He didn't mean the Remake, anon.
The Switch port was actually pretty kino with motion control aiming.
The Wii edition was like fucking crack to me, I played far too much of it and got absurdly good at the game. I honestly miss the WAGGLAN era
There are no games that are too clunky, all old games control schemes can be learned and be enjoyable.
I wanted to consume this piece of media made before 2015 but ooooh the racism I can't stand the racism
System Shock 1+2
Deus Ex
Thief
Any GTA before 5
Any Persona before 5
Twisted Metal (all of them)
Literally any N64 game
>Literally any N64 game
t. never played Bangai-O or Sin & Punishment
lol, he got cooked.
Akalabeth: World of Doom
Even by Ultima standards this game is outdated.
I have fond memories of KotOR when it came out. I have not successfully managed to play through the entire thing a second time despite many attempts since.
Kingsfield and Shadow Tower
Deus Ex
I've heard retards say it about RE4, too.
Romancing SaGa 2 and 3
The SNES was not ready for their ambition
I wouldn’t say they’re dated I just hate how the game doesn’t fully explain the systems
The first few Sim City games
Dork Souls when compared to the following games. I imagine Demon Souls was much worse, but I never played it.
To some extent Morrowind. I’m not talking about shit like hit chance or text based dialogue, the game is a fucking mess.

for free.
That isn't what a reddit filename looks like.
touche, twitter filename. my bad lmao i need sleep
Not a twitter filename either. It's a 32 character hexadecimal string.
Sounds pretty reddit to me
Look out, the computer you're using is operating on that.
looks like a google filename to me
every MGS game but V
I'd say nintendo, but they were never great games to begin with
The original trilogy of resident evil games most zoomer homosexuals except for my brother can't comprehend tank controls it's so amusing.
Probably Crusader: No Remorse. The tactical gameplay is solid but the default keybinds to control your character are unforgivably ass.
Metal Gear Solid 1
System Shock 1
Most CRPGs
early monster hunter
Diablo 1. I doubt there is anyone who prefers it over the second game
I respect that D2 is the better game, but I go back and replay D1 almost every year. I like it the most of all Diablo games.
This is how I feel about Civilization games. I know that five is technically better than 4 but I just play beyond the sword constantly because of the mod support and I spent most of my childhood playing that game with my older brother.
Definitely Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2
Mega Man Battle Network 1
the dickyness

Unmodded Infinity Engine games.

Final Fantasy 1-4
The good tomb raiders
Literally everything from toaplan
