Literal worst design in history coming through.
I'm confident there's a trend here. Next generation they'll find a away to make an even worse starter design. Don't know how, but when it comes to GF they somehow do it time and again.

Oops, meant to upload this pic
Biggest cope in recent Pokemon history
Biggest arrest in recent history
OP here, sorry about that guys wrong images here. Pic related is the actual worst design in history.
Not even close
Rillaboom was passible
Cinderrace was terrible but not the worse example
Intellion is the only Pokemon that can compete with the title of worst design, alongside Quaquaval
How can Inteleon be worse than Rillaboom when it's infinitely more popular than it?
>It's popular, so it must be quality!
Such is the life of a modern Pokemon consumer
Popularity is a metric 100 times better than yours, which is "me, a nobody on Ganker with zero artistical skill, claiming he has authority on what is good and what isn't" though.
So sorry! No idea how I keep making this mistake, but here's the actual pic
there's nothing wrong with this design
furry jobmon and it is just ugly
take one look into a cinderace thread and you will see what audience it has
>furry jobmon
not an argument
>looks like a person in a fursuit
how is this not valid? cope
It is quite literally easier to make a human being fit in an on-model suit of Blaziken than of Cinderace
>how is this not valid?
Because monsters can be humanoid, jackass. It’s not my problem that you’re so terminally online when a two legged cartoon creature pops up on the screen your rotted brain immediately thinks of [irrelevant group on the internet]. Might as well say Twittards are right to call for media to be censored because they can’t help but to start projecting unrelated shit onto the media they consume.
no need for the mental breakdown because i insulted the furry you insert as, it simply looks like a cereal mascot (compare to other "humanoid" mons like machamp or alakazam).
It is literally "what if we turned a soccer player into a rabbit furry" as opposed to "what if we gave this animal-like creature some vague human characteristics"
>it simply looks like a….
Not an argument. I don’t give a shit about what a Pokémon looks like to (You).
>what if we turned a soccer player into a rabbit furry"
Why are you so obsessed with furries, anon? Are you a closeted furry, perhaps?
"What if we turned a human into an animal" is literally the vast majority of most iconic monsters of human culture. Besides, that's moronic, because Pokemon has always had monsters that are much more humanoid than they should logically be.
>furry jobmon and it is just ugly
Neither of these are valid. One of these is just your porn addiction and the other is just your shitty opinion.
>Not even close
Samurott doesn’t even function properly, anon. It’s most certainly the best example in this thread.
>It doesn't fight like how my headcanon said it should so it can't function!
Anon just because its based on samurais doesn't mean it has to be an exact replica of one.
>Original post says nothing similar to what you said
Seems like you replied to the wrong anon.
>that's just your shitty opinion, anon
Except it’s not, the anime literally displays it fighting and it doesn’t look “natural” in motion. The B/W sprite doesn’t show anything other than it’s battle idle since it’s obviously a sprite, and the model in the 3D games only show one stiff single armed slashing animation.
Nah, I think it looks good so it is objectively good
>attack that should be "teleports behind you"
>randomly flails in front of the enemy because no sane person can make that piece of shit look good
>another headcanon
You're just mad it doesn't look exactly like your headcanons. The actual truth is that he does teleport and he does look good.
That looks fricking moronic.
sorry, it's objectively cool, you're just too contrarian to appreciate one of the best animations in pokemon
>One of the “best animations” in Pokémon is something that’s barely animated to begin with
Damn, this franchise has dropped off of a cliff.
Define “natural”
How something looks in the anime depends on the talent of the animators anon.
Are you referring to Ceaseless Edge’s animation or just Samurott pulling out his sword in the Pokédex? The former looks good and you won’t change many people’s minds on that.
>Are you referring to Ceaseless Edge’s animation or just Samurott pulling out his sword in the Pokédex?
Both since that’s exactly what both of those animations are, Samurott stiffly pulling out it’s blade for a single slash. The GFX doesn’t cover up the Ceaseless Edge animation itself.
>gif
I swear, sometimes it seems like they're actively trying to sabotage their own creations. I sincerely believe that.
>doesn't even function properly
that's just your shitty opinion, anon
>furry jobmon
So is Lucario
its a furry jobmon but not an ugly one
thank you for starting the thread
Yeah no. Its bad but not the worst, which this thread is about.
genuinely yes, this is the worst starter to to ever have been conceived
it's just a half-aborted shirtless soccer mascot that looks like a total homosexual, it's way more human than animal which goes against the very reason I liked pokemon in the first place, it looks pathetic and the design in general is just ugly as all hell. hideous color scheme, nonsensical details and overall just looks like a furry with brain damage made it on ms paint
It's not even the worst one from it's generation.
Please enlighten me. There's some shit designs, but none of them are as bad as the frick duck
The duck's previous evolution itself is worse than it in every way, for starters. Then you get down to genuinely bad and bland stuff like Bellibolt and whatever the frick is going on with most of the future Paradoxes.
I'm not really taking pre-evos into consideration, seeing as they're just stepping stones to the final evolution.
Even considering that, the pre evos's are marginally better than Quaquaval
Nah. Quaquaval atleast has the very good head-shape and color scheme going for it, while you cannot say that about Quaxwell, it shares every flaw it has with Quaquaval but has zero of it's neat details.
Quaxwell lacks the disgusting toes and giant ass of Quaquaval, that's reason enough to me to prefer it
>Bellibolt
The duck is SHIT and Bellibolt would be beloved if it was introduced in Gen 2 or 3.
this has been a common trend for generations. they make one starter really, really bad, to compel you to pick the one they want as the next face of the franchise
problem is they went too goddamn far with quaquaval, it was unnecessary
It also seems like only the grass and fire starters are the better ones competitively and the water is either really frail or just not good enough for OU.
I think they designed him bad on purpose
That's a good design, and nothing will ever come close to being as bad as the three Galar starters.
>Literal worst design
oh yeah because?
I think it's a good design over all, of course it has with few flaws but it looks great in motion, definitely nowhere near the worst starter design.
You gay cant even articulate why or how this design is supposedly bad.
How pathetic!
What do you mean? The duck has a lot of personality and has a very memorable design. It’s the most fun to use online of the trio, too.
Waterbros...we wont lose next time, right? Gamefreak wont make us take an L for the third time in a row, RIGHT?!
Anyone who makes posts like this should have an ice pick forced into their urethra.
Wouldn't call Inteleon an "L", it's decently popular, not as much of a loser as Rillaboom.
chadquaval is only an L if you're straight
and if you're straight why are you playing pokemon
That's not a gen 8 starter
