Ayyyy
Unironically though I love Syphon Filter but the controls are objectively worse than TR controls. Lara controls with literally perfect precision as long as you know what you're doing, and is far more mobile and versatile in terms of movement options than Gabe.
>what are these controls
if you're on linux then it's understandable because default ctrl+alt+shift is extremely outdated control scheme and will interfere with your DE or WM shortcuts a fuckton. i personally rebinded them to be similar to default ps1 controller buttons if you were using numpad while having your zoomer wasd for movement. so i recommend this scheme
Too complex.
I play using only the left hand while the right one keeps having a phantom need to change gears.
WASD to move, E to jump, Q to roll.
R takes out guns and Space is action.
Space used to be jump and E used to be action but I ran into some keyboard snags when it came to shimmying to the right so I swapped those out based on Oblivion.
Sidesteps are Z and X by the way.
yeah. as much as it amuses me that it's more than possible to play this one handed. you have to make awkward motion when something requires running jump. and there is no way to comfortably pick a scheme that wouldnt cause cramps after awhile. q and e idea is horrible for commonly used keys because you really need full movement access at all times
If you use Linux, all of your WM (or DE) keybindings have to include Super, or at least Alt, as these keys were basically intended to be "global modifier keys", while Ctrl and Shift were intended as modifier keys for individual programs.
Of course, many Windows programs ruin this idea by including Alt in their default keybindings, a problem that carried over into some Linux programs.
It's a big improvement in many ways, but it usually comes to down to if the person you ask enjoyed gunfighting in the original.
Action was approximately 25-30% of the experience in the original game compared to the adventure, but in TR2 it's balanced up to be more like half the experience.
It does provide a fix for those hungry for more of mostly the same thing, but I do believe they got just too ambitious with the settings and locales. The level of detail the engine allowed worked for the first game for the general ruins and caves the game was set in, but the second just amounts to really REALLY ugly environments throughout most of the game.
>Tank controls AND buffered input
To be fair that sort of thing does feel designed to confuse and upset zoomers.
ive played Syphon Filter and that has much better controls
No it absolutely does not
syphon filtered

Well played
yeah, no tombs in this game literally unplayable to me too. try tomb raider 3. you will die in first seconds of it. really good
stop fucking repeating this same meme. literally all the levels but the home and the oil rig are tombs
venice is literally urban, and not a tomb... until we count abandoned buildings "tombs"...

>blaming Windows for Linux's problems
El Clasico.
op here guys, my bad, put the wrong image.
Didn’t care; kept trying to force the camera close enough to see through her clothes, as a kid.
I haven't played these games yet but I do like Core Design a lot. Fighting Force looks really cool
fighting force is solid but 3D beat ‘em ups don’t really get good until PS2.
It's a 3D version of the cinematic platformer, the controls aren't "bad", they're "consistent". Do the tutorial level, it covers everything.
you lost you're way newfriend
here you go
Is there even a single third person action game on the ps1 that has good controls? If there is I've never played it.
Literally none whatsoever; anybody who claims otherwise is a coping sonytard
Brightis
I swear its the same person bringing up this game everytime
brave fencer musashi.
croc 2
I love seeing zoomies filtered by Ganker classics. Literally never gets old.
All you do is wander aimless in every level till you realize some hidden passage thats barely visible because the layers auck
if it's any help, I played this back in the day and thought exactly the same; the items menu was really cool tho lol
I heard this game is a huge let-down compared to the first.
