Look, I just want something that's centred around a narrative-driven singleplayer. The two things I hate the most is PvP and symmetrical warfare and every other thread is about those. One of you in this godforsaken board has to know a few games like I'm describing. Come onnnnn.

every game is fun when emulated provided you hook a controller on your pc with it. exception is 3ds and other switch games that actually makes use of it's hardware gimmick

personally i never played Valkyria Chronicles but apparently its a great tactics game with a good story

Every AAA RTS out there has a big and extensive singleplayer campaign, you could choose to enjoy the singleplayer, but you prefer to seethe that multiplayer exists instead.

Faces of War and Men of War both have long and varied campaigns of what you're looking for. It's a shame that the devs completely abandoned these campaigns and replaced them with skirmish mode in their later games
X-COM and Jagged Alliance are both good sp tb games without mp.

The HoMM series has a pretty good singleplayer. (The story was rebooted in 5 because they fricked it up in 4)(Avoid 6 and 7, they are garbage)(If you really care about the narative, you may also want to play the M&M series (tough, be warned, it is /vrpg/, not /vst/)).

Here, you're covered from RTS, through skirmish to stealth tactics. If turn-based is allowed, then HoMM 2-4, with 3 being the highlight of the series, and AoW 1-3, with 2 being the highlight of the series.

It such a weird thing to change in translation and imo make the campaign awkward since not only it use different country, but also one with modern borders. Beyond already shown, Spain, French, Italy and Japan also got their own map.

I really adore that it changes the map with the language, the fact that it does so on stream too is just the cherry on top.
Except for, you know, everything else not making sense about this being in the US or Japan
