look out Ganker Count Dracula is backula and he's coming to take over the whole world, however none of the Belmont family and associates are around, so the last vidya character you played as must brave the dark depths of his castle and defeat the king of vampires. Can they survive this horrible night?!?!

Putting aside whether which game specifically matters, I'm honestly convinced that Dracula doesn't stand a chance, and that's even if lore rules are in play. It's literally canon that he doesn't die simply because he doesn't want to. What's Drac going to do, set him on fire repeatedly? Maybe try to be smart and lock up Zombie Wario in a dark room? When was the last time you've seen Dracula actually even try to be a genius tactician?
I think OP was basically counting every other nonBelmont player character as well with "and associates", but yeah, she would do fine, and nice taste.
In a twist of supreme irony, Wario would kill Dracula with a simple bite, the decades of garlic caked on his teeth combined with never brushing ensuring that each Mario-hating molar would be akin to Richter throwing out his ultra cross attack
>In a twist of supreme irony, Wario would kill Dracula with a simple bite, the decades of garlic caked on his teeth combined with never brushing ensuring that each Mario-hating molar would be akin to Richter throwing out his ultra cross attack
This Dracula can only be killed by holy weapons and/or his own power source being used against him.

Dracula is literally empowered by the explicit counterpart to God (who is implied to the Abrhamic version too boot). He wouldn't need to kill Wario when he could just rip out his soul using his power of dominance. And as to why he doesn't do that any of the Castlevania protagnoists who fight? It is because: they have a holy bloodline, have a strong connection to God, and/or drawing on the same powers as he is.
Counterpoint:
Oh, I thought you actually wanted to do a real "who would win" thread. My bad for biting I guess.
Maybe Ky Kiske would be Christian enough for you?
Not anymore, the weebhomosexualry got to him by the second game
>Sonic the Hedgehog
Just by going off game mechanics BTFOs Castlevania. If we are going off lore for both, Sonic either BTFOs with his Super form or gets BTFO by the Avatar of Chaos' power of dominance and becomes just another soul that enpowers the Dark Lord.

Sekiro. yeah I'll be fine, FromSoft basically makes 3D castlevania games anyway
>dex bow and dagger char on dark souls 3
I think she would do great, and just use the items for the really annoying enemies.
>Balthier-Ulhan/Machinist
Feel like he's got a shot.
He never met the Belmonts, so he's good.
Is that new collection that released come with enhanced graphics or sound? Or is it just straight up Advance games?
Music was enhanced but straight ports otherwise.
Basically just the original games with some "gadgets" feature

I dunno man, my man Drac is probably lvl 20 and above, she's probably gonna be turned into a concubine
Dracula definitely has Epic/Mythic levels. Being the avatar of a God does that.
Yeah
on the other hand, he gets whooped around by pretty boys with whips multiple times around so who knows
Someone might say vampire killer was an important factor, but Alucard did it as well, although as I understand it Dracula was kind of weakened at the time because he had just returned
The games don't really pay much heed to what exactly is needed to put the Count down as he's been slain by birds, books, wolf heads, swords, spears, whips that aren't the Vampire Killer, etc.
Alucard could do it because his dad didn't have enough time to really pick up steam (same reason other non-Belmonts can hold their own against him sometimes). And magical abilities can generally HURT him, but are never enough to put him down. The Vampire Killer is pretty consistently the universal monster slayer.
>Alucard could do it because his dad didn't have enough time to really pick up steam
Dracula is canonically weaker whenever he gets revived before the 100 year timer ends like in SoTN or Harmony of Dissonance.
I think Dracula was at full power during CV3, the first GB game with Christopher, RoB, Bloodlines, and The Demon Castle War of 1999 (which sadly hasn't gotten a game yet and likely won't but it is when Dracula was at his most powerful).
>on the other hand, he gets whooped around by pretty boys with whips multiple times around so who knows
Lore wise, they have a holy bloodline that keeps on getting stronger with each generation, espeically after it recieves Belnades witch magic infusions with Sypha and Juste's mother marrying into the family. The Vampire Whip is especially effective against Dracula because it is simaetously a holy and dark weapon due to it housing the soul of pure woman who was in the process of turning into a vampire after being bitten.
>Alucard did it as well, although as I understand it Dracula was kind of weakened at the time because he had just returned
Alucard has holy powers and properties thanks to his mother and her bloodline and is partially powered by chaos (Dracula's power source) as well.
Turning Dracula's powers against him (like Shanoa and Hector did too) seems to be the more effective way to kick his ass when you're not being helped by someone with the VK
I also feel the need to point out that one of the weapons Alucard can summon against Dracula is a neutron bomb. He's no slouch in terms of power.
>Scout TF2
Ooh, da Lord-a-Vampires, huh? No wonder you suck so bad!
No contest.
Count Dracula backwards is Alucard Tnouc
>Laharl
I don't think he'd like the competition, but I think the gunslinging overlord will be fine.
Dracula! I am backula to lay the smackula like great grandpa trevor. Whippin' hearts, inhaling zombie farts I'll find your body parts and I'll put you back together!
>Watermelon Samus
Dracula is about to understand how his victims feel when he drains them dry.
>Dracula is about to understand how his victims feel when he drains them dry.
I am not update on my Prime lore but I am pretty sure Samus has no protection against magic, let alone the type of soul hax Dracula is capable of.
Like what the frick is she going to do when he uses Soul Steal on her?
Samus (and Metroid as a whole) has ton of exposure to magic. The Chozo were masters of both magic and technology, the Luminoth are a whole race of moth mystics, several potent psioninc/magical items exist in the setting, Metroids literally drink life energy/souls, etc.
The Ing, an entire race of demonic soul-stealing and bodysnatching abominations, can literally hijack people and machines and animals they come into contact with but were repulsed by the Light of Aether bestowed upon Samus. Gorea could also steal the life force of things that came close to it, but Samus could ignore its effects.
>Like what the frick is she going to do when he uses Soul Steal on her?
To be fair, there are basically no characters even in-universe who can deal with that. It's why he basically doesn't use it at all in the games and when he does it's for gimmicks like the Death fusion or a command grab.
If Drac ever cast Soul Steal as soon as a Belmont walked into his room he would instantly win, so it might be a bad idea to bring that move up as something to consider.

So how powerful are the Ing & Gorea? Cause Dracula's soul stealing power comes from the explicit opposite of God (how is implied to be the Abrahamic one).
Also, unless I missing sometime, I thought Metroid just drink life energy have no soul abilities no?
Bad bait.
Eric from bloodline before that Liu Bei
Think he'd do just fine
Assuming she gets to keep all the energy and upgrades she has with 100% items...
If she flips out and goes Metroid suit or uses her siphoning power then Dracula is probably toast.
Even without, she is primarily ranged and doesn't have the typical Belmont handicap of getting into whip range. I'm not sure where Dracula stands vs. non-blessed weaponry, but fully upgraded, Samus's beam fires barrages of electrified, wall-piercing, armor-melting plasma. The missile upgrades mean she could probably handle any hellfire or mist attacks, screw attack means she's dangerous in melee, and if all else fails, power bombs can be used to wipe out projectiles and injure Drac.
What it boils down to is how fast and efficient Dracula's regeneration is against plasma weaponry and cryogenic explosives. Yes, Dracula has strength, speed, teleportation and a slew of magical attacks, but it doesn't seem to be anything Samus hasn't handled before.
>I'm not sure where Dracula stands vs. non-blessed weaponry
Dracula fights someone without any blessed weapons or dark/chaos based weapons and he basically toys with her (Shanoa) and the only reason why she wins is because is uses his power against him to kill him (and he wasn't expecting it) in a suicidal move.
Sora wins, but by talking some sense into Dracula over Lisa's death.
Probably with something along the lines of "Would she want this?"
Wouldn't work, Dracula still attacked Alucard in SotN and went right back to attempted genocide in his next revival.
He ain't ready for the ass fricking that awaits him at the other extreme of Lethe.
>omnipotent city builder man
So city builder man would spam high rises around Dracula's castle to raise the property value then increase the tax rate until it bankrupts him. Then afterwords the high rises will be replaced with heavy industries and raised freeways next to the castle to drive down the property value so he can't make any money from the sale.
Then city builder man will drop an entire park on his ass while Dracula is living on the street.
This just made me realize Castlevania would make for a decent Mystery Dungeon game.
