Is that even possible? The ban appeared on my Steam account so I'd assume it's just Steam verification for logging in and nobody has hijacked my Steam account. If the game wasn't tied to my Steam account the ban message shouldn't be appearing on it.

Lost Ark runs through Steam but you don't need access to the Steam account in order to access that persons Lost Ark account.
You can access anyones Lost Ark account through your own Steam as long as you got that persons login information. Even harder verfications like SteamID can easily be copied/faked these days.
Botters like to steal legit accounts for their bots as those are quite a bit harder to detect.

Mosparo collects user agent and IP, if the bot is repeatedly adding more messages than a normal human can write then the mods could do something like banneding the IP, removing the messages, IP address restrict to a number of post per day, etc. It can be automated if Ganker tries to do coding and change the layout a little.
