You actually cant stop COD. Battlefield killed itself, Medal of Honor killed itself, COD clones and military shooters fell out of favor as you couldnt even beat COD at their worst years.
Indie devs only follow indie trends they just shit out whatever new cool milsim/tactical shooter they can, or make boomer shooter doom clones. COD has no competition anymore and even with MW3 getting lambasted online the military shooter fanbase has NOTHING.

Multiplayer stuff you unlocked in MW22 actually carries over fully to MW3 not just warzone thats a major selling point for some people.
