Its not good, it is the most mid of mids.
I stuck with this game from early access and the wait was not worth it, level and enemy design just got worse and worse as it went along culminating in a piss poor ending and completely unearned power of friendship bullshit.
does anyone outside of whatever shitpost discord you fags come from buy any of this """dev shilling""" you're trying to manufacture with this spam
it's so painfully obvious
There were posts previously made when the threads started dropping featuring cut content. Presumably only playtesters/butt buddies, or the dev would have access.
Additionally, see pic related. The vast majority of steam reviews are positive, most of the negativity seems to be found here. The comments on the game not being as good as Kings Field are a common subject here.
when all these threads start with aggressively disingenuous nonsense like "MASTERPIECE :DDD" followed by immediate tranny gibbering I think it's more likely you homosexuals are doing this every single day
>not being as good as Kings Field are a common subject
Well, yeah, if you actually play video games and have played lots of games in this genre, the fact that this one is one of the most mediocre ones released is a major point. I suppose people who have never played nor have any intention of playing other games wouldn't care about that, but I question what the point of a game is when it imitates games from 20-30 years ago yet is notably worse.
As someone who plays a minimum of 10 hours of video games per day, I cannot play every semi-decent game as they release. The time isn't there. Those games are also competing against the many hundreds of gems released in the past that I either failed to appreciate when I was young, never noticed, or never had access to. So when a game describes itself as "King's Field but not as good", I'm just going to install the English version of Sword of Moonlight instead.
You just grab all the shit in there and leave when you get the death message, he's pretty slow so if you've put any points at all in speed you should be able to casually outrun him.
Is there anything of value in the mausulem besides that staff in a secret room? There's a message that says I need to light 3 fires but I've only been able to find 2 of those machines
a black book for a spell and secret ending stuff that is not worth bothering with
also bunch of potions of various kinds so might get some extra hp/mp from there
either get the coffin spell that is hidden somewhere in the catacombs or just progress and try to find icarus jump. the most useful spell in the game
the fires you need to light aren't there
Rock bridge is better than icarian flight. With enough mana, you can go anywhere with it. I used it to traverse the entire Laetus Chasm accross the middle. Getting enough mana is tricky, but at 100 resistance you get automatic mana regen.
it just doesn't last long enough and costs more. usually there are roofs that prevent you from jumping too high with icarus that is cheap and quick to cast. you can also slide down walls to avoid falling damage
>found that weird wall during my first visit to the catacombs and tried a bunch of stuff on it >get key a dozen hours later >completely forget that I found that wall or where >kept going up the wrong stairs until I just looked at a video
>vampire sounds exactly like Alucard
Did they hire the same voice actor or something?
Also he took me ages to kill, is he supposed to have a huge health pool or did I find out my damage sucks
I just used Ignus Calor to set him on fire and then hit him with crossbow bolts. Still took a while, both of the story bosses have way too much hp and easily dodged attacks. The hidden boss in the holy battlefield is better suited for ranged players, but is still kinda a joke if you have any points in speed
no. it is not. stop shilling
bought it, played it though ones and it was pretty enjoyable but it is not that good. just middling but we don't get enough dungeon crawlers anymore
My only real complaint is the diffculty curve. The first few areas are more or less perfect (for the start of the game. The Accursed Tomb is pure kino. Then it drops off a cliff. It doesn't matter what build you choose, all 3 get overpowered in the Accursed Tomb and everything after that is just running around and instakilling everything.
To fix this, the game should have heavy diminishing returns on all attributes similar to Dark Souls (basically anything over 40 does almost nothing), and it needs far more dangerous and aggressive enemy types. The Sucsarions, Anpu, and Cetea are all relatively OK for mid-game enemies, unfortunately they are all what pass for end-game.
>have to grind chimeras >only two of them in a zone >have to grind obsidian skeletons >only two of them in a zone >have to grind rabbits >2% drop chance >have to grind snails >2% drop chance
I decided to start the game by trying to get quick stride and I only ended up killing so many of them before it dropped that I got my int up to 100 before I even stepped foot in the temple of silence
How do I get past the bars in Underworks? I feel like I'm being retarded and this should be easy considering you finish exploring the area in 2 minutes otherwise
the game is painfully mid >WAHHHH I'M A ONE TROON DEV TEAM!!!!!
that does not matter. this game is mid as fuck because it had no playtesting outside of a tiny discord circlejerk.
weapon balance is trash, magic is too strong compared to melee, melee is trash, stat balance is trash, elemental resistances are trash, the cursed knight is a solid wall if you didn't level magic, the full moon weapon idea is trash, the moon cycle being tied to real life is trash, some of the music is TRASH as hell, the keybinding is TRAAAAAAAAAAASH
all of this except the shitty music by thor tranny heels would have been picked up in a day or two by having literally anyone other than his groomed discord orbiters playtest the final game.
>magic is too strong compared to melee
Wrong. Melee>Ranged>Magic. Magic is actually the closest thing the game has to a hard mode. Admittedly ranged does fall off more towards lategame compared to magic, but melee is just straight OP.
A large part of that is because Strength boosts both your damage and your HP, so once you have a ton of strength not only do you kill enemies very fast, but nothing they do can actually phase you because you have so much health. Going pure magic basically requires maxing out Resistance to get mana regen as well as intelligence for damage/max mana, leaving nothing left for speed or health.
The other part of that is because stupidly OP weapons like the Blessed Wind, Moonlight, and Marauder Black Flail exist. The main weakness of ranged is that once you have the Twisted Staff (a very mid-tier weapon), that's it
Of course, nothing is actually difficult in the game. Regardless of which playstyle you choose everything from the Castle onward is a cakewalk. Magic even has a couple of advantages of its own, Ice Tear will destroy the final boss in seconds if you cast it repeatedly, but compared to melee just facetanking and winning albeit more slowly that's not much of an advantage.
As a King's Field superfan I was excited for this game, but I'm kinda disappointed. I mean it's good, but I like literally any KF game significantly more than it, including KF1j.
agreed. lunamid lacks the real creative flair of the team working at from and it also suffers from all the problems of a 1 man dev team that only receives feedback from mentally ill trannies and mentally ill teenagers he is grooming for sex
>agreed. lunamid lacks the real creative flair of the team working at from and it also suffers from all the problems of a 1 man dev team that only receives feedback from mentally ill trannies and mentally ill teenagers he is grooming for sex
Yes. The game is also a lot more amateurish compared to idie greats like Hotline Miami, Hollow Knight, Signalis etc. It feels more like a student project than a proper serious game.
Also the atmosphere and level design are very weak in Lunacid, despite at least in the maps the level of effort that was put into them.
>The game is also a lot more amateurish compared to idie greats
agreed again. it has the potential to be good but there are so many obvious faults that I would expect to see in a free amateur game on itch.io, not a game being sold on steam

Did they hire the same voice actor or something?
Also he took me ages to kill, is he supposed to have a huge health pool or did I find out my damage sucks
The last "boss" is terribly designed. If you aren't using magic he takes forever to kill with how fast his health regens. The rest of the game was completely fine with using pure melee, but no weapon I had would do anything significant to him despite having over 100 in STR.
I was happy with the game before release, decided to start a fresh game when it came out and find it released pronouns. I refunded. too bad, was a fun game.
because I can go and do what I want, fag. The dev chose to shit on his game for no good reason, so I took will shit on his game but with a good reason.
I literally did play the game and said it was good, reading comprehension you dumb mother fucker. The dev added pronouns to purposely annoy people so I refunded my money after playing 20 hrs.
I know this is bait/shilling, but indietards do ironically have lower standards than AAA-sloppers. all you need to do is being a troon or pander to them, try to ape some cult game aesthetic/gameplay and be harder than the average game and you're set
Lemme get this right, a masterpiece consists of No armor system (Even the original Kingfield had that), barren copypaste "Dungeons", with no proper environmental story-telling, mixed with trannytier character design. A completely soulless copy of the formula Fromsoft perfected decades ago. The coolest thing about the game is the menus and color schemes, and the music, which should all be the secondary reasons the game is good...
Finished it last night, I was speeding through it near the end with 50+ speed. Had like 7.5 hours in one run. I would say everything in the Castle and after was really bad. Final boss was dumb, not sure why they went for the epic Undertale style powerup with the NPC's that barley had any dialogue jumping in and such. The default ending and the ending where I looked in the pond were pretty lame, not sure why my computer needed to love me and to tell me to believe in myself. 5.5/10 for me, would've been maybe a 6.5 if the last hour or two was fun.
stop shilling
You couldn't pay me enough to play this garbage
Buy an ad
more like midsterpiece.
i like it. i even try to help development with bug reports. but you people are delusional.
Demi here.
Thanks for marketing my game uwu~
No problem senpai

Release it on console already.
That's the guy that kept sending nudes over discord
Is it Jerma?
falseflaggers more like falsefaggers
I've seen Albino play it, doesn't look that interesting.

Dev tried to make a thread 5 mins ago that got 404'd that was a stealth thread for their thread so I knew a real one would be showing up.

Now? Maybe. But closer to launch, it seems the devs or their buddies were very much posting, or posting in these threads.
He needs to stop calling himself little.
He's a middle aged man with no business messaging kids on Discord.
Have you ever seen the inside of a e-boicon discord?

No it's not, you're the first person to suggest it's falseflag shilling and I have not made at least 6 threads pre launch.
I pirated your stupid fucking game
roll
pirated it. it's mid.
These threads are just an excuse to be an asshole.
Just a little trolling Kira.
Stop getting triggered.
Im one of the assholes.
How do I beat the catacombs? When I go to the mausoleum It says that death is coming and then I get killed by a grim reaper
You just grab all the shit in there and leave when you get the death message, he's pretty slow so if you've put any points at all in speed you should be able to casually outrun him.
Is there anything of value in the mausulem besides that staff in a secret room? There's a message that says I need to light 3 fires but I've only been able to find 2 of those machines
im not going to tell you how to get there but look for those little holes in the walls. there's also one in the mausoleum that has a goodie as well.
I didn't bother with those because I assumed they were a shortcut for other builds. Is it accessible with low jump?
not really but there is a spell you can use
Try the coffin spell. It's in the catacombs.
Right, I picked that spell up. Cast it once and completely forgot about it.
a black book for a spell and secret ending stuff that is not worth bothering with
also bunch of potions of various kinds so might get some extra hp/mp from there
also the final flame has to be accessed by jumping onto an upper level it's retarded.
how much jump do i need to access that area?
either get the coffin spell that is hidden somewhere in the catacombs or just progress and try to find icarus jump. the most useful spell in the game
the fires you need to light aren't there
i mean that the fires aren't in the mausoleum. you need to jump higher for one of them but that isn't in the mausoleum
There are bonuses you get at certain stat breakpoints?
Also I completely ignored resistance.
It's just resistance, no other stat has anything special at any point
I guess this game can't be all bad if the dev made a Morrowind Easter egg.
I found a corrupted key after seeing the videotape. I did it alone
Same, but I guarantee you're not going to find where to use the key by yourself
>found that weird wall during my first visit to the catacombs and tried a bunch of stuff on it
>get key a dozen hours later
>completely forget that I found that wall or where
>kept going up the wrong stairs until I just looked at a video
