I dont understand why people think it's a good design. It has 3 massive horizontal lines across its body that look like visual bugs, it looks so fricking stupid.

Half of that article is bullshit. Out of combat effects for abilities were all removed in SV, and it just needs to be 3 Bisharp in general not 3 holding their evo item. You just give your Bisharp the item and beat 3 other Bisharp in a show of dominance for yours to become their king, which is also hinted at in-game.

Synchronize stopped being an out of combat effect in gen 8, anon. It triggers at the start of the encounter. I don't know if that's in SV or was removed, but it wasn't part of the out of battle purge if it was.

From other bisharp. Find the ones with pawniards gathered around them and capture or steal from them to get it.
How early can you get a pawniard?
Frick training a pawniard until 52 will still be hard though
I got one very early from a Tera raid.
You can get it early, but you can also catch one that's 1/2 levels from evolving in certain areas
You might as well just catch one of the bisharps that spawn with the evolution item. Feels easier than slog training Pawniard all the way to level 54.
