Do you Anons think Mega Evolutions will come back in Scarlet & Violet DLC?
There have been a lot of hints to Kalos in Scarlet & Violet for some reason.

I don't know, but I would like it to come back.
I miss having a mega Gardevoir on my team.
;__;
>there have been a lot of hints to Kalos
Because the regions are near each other. That doesn't mean they're going to have it in DLC or revive a dead gimmick.
They're not dead in a game that actually matters to TPCi
>Go
>important to TPC
They don't care what Go does as long as whales give them money. Random decisions made there are much less relevant that the actual mainline games.
means absolutely nothing. dynamax was hated and will probably never return to main series, but it's in pokemon masters ex so that means it must come back right???? gamefreak and tpci have nothing to do with eachother, thats why porygon and jynx were banned in the anime and not from the games
>comparing Go to Masters EX
Go is important, Masters EX is a failure
dynamax is also in pokemon mezastar, and both mezastar and masters ex rake in a ton of money for them. im just saying they dont treat game gimmicks like z moves, megas and dynamaxes like special mechanics they just treat it like a way to easily add new content because they more or less have their work cut out for them
>Dynamax
It's just there for one move and done in Masters
I don't think many elements from Gen 7 to added though? I remember Brutal Swing TM, not sure if Psychic Terrain is even in that game
i mean the game was a remake it wasnt a brand new game of course it wouldnt focus on gen 7
Megas are in literally every spinoff game because they're piss easy to include for easy money. Game Freak reprograms the battle system every gen, that's why they keep dropping gimmicks. It's also why they stopped putting visitors from other regions in new games.
Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox and Mega Greninja are coming.
I wouldn't be surprised if we got new Megas, like Mega Armarouge and Ceruledge
That I can honestly believe especially with the Ash Greninja painting + Battle Bond no longer transforming into Ash Greninja
They gonna retool Ash-Greninja into Mega-Greninja, right?
I keep inhaling copium and hopium. I want my frog back.
If Kalos starters end up getting new Megas, I hope their signature moves get upgraded after mega evolving like how Water Shuriken becomes better if Ash Greninja uses it
different time line
Wrong, occulture/the dex mentions Roaring Moon looks like a phenomenon Salamance experiences outside Paldea
No. If they do it'll only be 60% of them with the current dex.
if they did do it they would do it in dlc and would bring back new pokemon who could mega evolve
So? The region with most Megas was Hoenn, and Johto had a good number of them too, yet Let's Go included Megas without caring about having only pokemon from Kanto.
Well there is the theory that part of the reason they introduced regional forms in Alola was to patch up the lackluster type distribution in the original generation. You could argue that throwing in Megas was not just a fun way to make the game feel different, but also fix that type distribution problem as well. With the megas and Alolan forms added, suddenly Kanto gets access to a lot more dark, steel, ghost and dragon types among the original 151. It's very telling that they didn't include any future evolutions or baby forms but did include these, so I think they were thinking about the availability of certain types when implementing those things. All that is to say that if they do bring back Megas for SV, I can see them not bringing back everybody because the type distribution in this game is much better and will definitely be even more balanced across the board once they bring in Pokémon from Home and the DLC (which does include some but not all of the regionals as well)
>Masuda insists on leaving babies and cross-gens out of RBY remakes
>still allows megas
what a gross hack
Babies and cross-gen evos are different pokemon, megas aren't
Dudunsparce will get a mega that will just add one extra segment onto it (a Two segmented one becomes Three segmented and a Three segmented one becomes Four segmented), mark my words.
>Mega Dudunsparse
>gets a third eye line, a fourth chin spike, a third/fourth segment, and a third drill tip on its tail
It's always hilarious how Rescue Team DX added Megas while adding literally nothing from Gen 8.
it was in development during gen 7 so it had no gen 8 content and had megas
Absolutely.
>Roaring Moon references Mega-Salamence
>obviously Paldea is neighboring Kalos
>all megas have stat data in SV when they DIDN'T in SwShit
>Terastal has a similar symbol to the ultimate weapon, both gimmicks are somewhat related to crystals
>Megas sell.
>>all megas have stat data in SV when they DIDN'T in SwShit
Proof?
Mega-exclusive abilities like Aerilate and Primordial Sea were not in SWSH but are in SV
To add, other missing exclusive abilities like Shields Down and Pastel Veil are not in.
Okay that's actually pretty big news then
Bulbapedia lists description for both these abilities in Generation 8. Do you mean it in another different way that I'm thinking? (aka has a description)
He means you can actually look them up in the game. I can't remember how you get there, I think it's searching in your boxes? But they're there. You can see those mega exclusive abilities. But like someone else said, other abilities like Shields Down are not there at all. So for whatever reason they chose to leave in abilities you can't access that only belong to Megas, but took out abilities that belong to regular Pokémon that you also cannot access. Maybe it was an oversight, but it's weird that they would just include some and not all. I think that's the point people are getting at.
Also just want to throw out there that apparently PLA had some mega data in there. Obviously they are not getting added to that game, but SV and PLA were worked on at the same time more or less and SV does borrow some things from PLA, like a lot of the new signature moves and the Hisuian forms, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that Megas were on their mind
my brain says no, but my heart says yes
Would be cool but I doubt it. They'll make a short return in XY remakes and leave it at yhat unfortunately
People who think Mega will be back now are so dumb I can't even begin to deal with them.
Why would GF remove the feature only to add it again after just one game?
And why would they ruin literally the only appeal the Kalos remake will have by wasting it on a game that doesn't need the push?
Megas are a separate time line.
