Perhaps it's a lack of motivation? With a 30+ year library of old games and things protected by Denuvo being mostly AAA crud, maybe they don't feel like there's a point in cracking it quickly.

Oh and that Denovo pays pirates to hold off.

But where's the evidence that someone gets paid? You didn't even tell me who gets paid to delay cracks.

You have to be terminally moronic to think every group is on the level to crack denuvo and even if they were, all groups that actually demonstrated they can do it are gone. I don't think you can even name any active scene group.

I know for a fact there are at least 10 other people that can and have submitted evidence to denuvo just to get their checks.
Antivirus companies do the same but in reverse.

How do you know? Do you work at Denuvo?
Sounds like a whole lot of bullshit to me.

My friend helped them with their method at first they all submitted the same and then they refused to pay because it was patched out.
So they submitted a new version.
It was before a big release and they had a day 1 so denuvo just gave up and payed or loose the contract.

NTA, but if it's a real group of people (i.e. more than 1 person), it's probably 3DM. Codex's Denuvo division is pretty much just Empress.

as mentioned, the real answer is the quality of games
they are not games anymore, just large groups of assets and some sequential button pressing, in between video viewings
this type of media is the most profitable, (otherwise it wouldn't exist) but its simply not interesting to normal people
without motivation, intelligent people won't take action

Gaming has been dead for more than a decade and not a single good game has been released in years, so piracy dying doesn't really matter.
What's the point of pirating games when there is nothing worth playing?

  6. 2 years ago
    Anonymous

    Easy: extreme selfishness.
Why would you ever help someone else, even if the industry is a shithole that you hate?
Why would you give more people the chance to learn what you have learned so that they can reproduce your success if you can just make them paypigs?
Piracy used to be about sharing, caring, and the competition. Now its nothing due to people being shitheads.
I remember that Empress said (she) wanted to create an universal cracktool so people didnt have to rely on somebody else, but (she) never did, because its easier to talk the talk and make other people pay.

there is not a single denuvo game worth pirating. nothing that has came out in the last 5-8 years has been worth playing.

but to answer your question truthfully: the only people smart enough to crack denuvo and similar DRM would rather just get a job or take the bounty payout. piracy doesn't make money.
