The villagers took over and it shows.
Any mods that reduce village spawns?
I heard some player built a contraption that would drop lingering potions of poison into a confined room with the villagers
I think it's bullshit though, his "pictures" showed the chamber used wooden doors that the villagers would easily be able to leave through. It's clearly a hoa-[THIS PLAYER HAS BEEN BANNED FOR VIOLATING THE EULA]
while your analogy is 100% correct, villagers have also unironically been the worst addition to the game
villagers would've been better as pigmen, with the zombie pigmen in hell serving as a mirror to them
fuck "piglins" they're so gay looking.
The endermen will rule the overworld!
It feels like modern lego, on the surface there's nothing wrong with it, but the more you look at it the more it feels like an empty husk, and the worse part is that you can't really be a nostalgia fag either because while the atmosphere of the original is better, it's also empty as fuck
I've been thinking about making my own version on minecraft, like beta 1.7.3+
Similar to old school runescape where I add stuff that I think were good additions and my own custom mods that I think would fit the style
Game's shit since Beta 1.8
fact
It died when Pistons were added.
Anyone who says pistons belongs in Minecraft is a zoomer gay.
It all started going downhill when they added beds.
A feature that just lets you skip gameplay is a shit feature.
Also villages are op they need to be much rarer and shouldn't appear at all within 2000 blocks from spawn
beds are only a symptom of the problem of night mob spawns being entirely skippable and only there as a motivation to build a basic shelter. i'd rather at least have a bed to skip the 10 minutes of waiting since there's no penalty for AFKing through the night in a makeshift hole.
Being able to set your spawn location is good, shut the fuck up.
moron, does the post say anything about setting your spawn?
>villages are op they need to be much rarer
they were pretty rare when added in 1.8
>A feature that just lets you skip gameplay
Oh yeah, the enthralling gameplay of standing inside your house for seven minutes doing nothing. Yes, it's possible to get a bed early on and the first couple nights where you're weak as shit are made easier but the other 98% of your playtime you will not need to worry about mobs at night. Besides, I feel like most people use the night to go mine whether they have a bed or not.
If you stand and do nothing, that's your fault, not the game
Minecraft is open ended and most people choose to play like gays, which forced mojang to limit their gayry
>the enthralling gameplay of standing inside your house for seven minutes doing nothing.
maybe if you're a pussy
That's in the overworld only though. They're cheap tnt in other dimensions.
It's impressive that the Devs can do so little work and still have a job. Can you imagine spreading a week's work across an entire year?
They actually work, the problem is that the work goes on licensed modded worlds. So it's even worse than devs just being lazy, it's MS simply milking minecraft dry with consoomer collabs.
Damn.
which version should I play if I've never played lads? got some time off and fancy a go.
Probably the newest version. There is an interesting experience in Beta 1.7.3, but there's so much more content and things to do in the newer versions that, unless you use mods, it's not really worth going back.
Minecraft Fabric 1.19.2 modded with fabric optimization mods, Farmer's Delight, Chisels and Bits, Create, and the YUNG's series of dungeon overhauls
This looks quite good. Is it easy to install mods? Do they have to be in the right order?
This is the thing, it's quite overwhelming. No idea which version to go for or mods to use. It'd be nice to have various premade modpacks to try out.
Mods are generally just dropped into the "mods" folder, there is no load order. I suggest you install PolyMC as your game launcher since it has a built-in mod downloader.
ah great. Thanks.
And once you are accustomed to Minecraft (whatever that means), I suggest you try out whatever the latest Enigmatica Expert modpack will be out by then (right now, it's Enigmatica 8: Expert). Playing Enigmatica 2: Expert is some of my best gaming memories.
>PolyMC
That's malware kiddo
I remember some news about that surfacing in the past. Is that still not solved? If that was ever real in the first place, that is.
There's no evidence of harmful code, as far as I'm aware. People were just lying because the main dev kicked a bunch of people from the project and posted something like "reclaim PolyMC from the leftoids". Whether you think that's enough of a reason to switch launcher, that's up to you. I started using MultMC because PolyMC lost their Microsoft ID when shit went down, meaning they weren't allowed to connect to the authentication servers anymore. No clue if that's fixed now
1.18.2. 1.19's only noteworthy addition is the Deep Dark, but from what I've seen, it's shit. But I suggest you do a bit of your own research. If I were to start a new playthrough, it would have been heavily modded 1.18.2 with an emphasis on industry.
It’s still a really fun game
it's too easy and will only get easier with each update. it needs some kind of expert mode. the warden and the deep dark were a good step in the right direction. hardcore is not really that hard because the only thing different is that the difficulty is locked to hard and you die permanently. not to mention diamonds and such are way too easy to acquire early on.
>warden and the deep dark were a good step in the right direction
No they aren't.
>strip mine on Y = -56 in search of redstone and diamonds
>get in the way of the Warden
>insta kill
Fucking bullshit. So I can't strip mine for iron or coal since 1.18, and now in 1.19 and onward getting diamonds and redstone gets frustrating because of the deep dark.
>I can't strip mine for iron or coal since 1.18
>>get in the way of the Warden
kill
That's not how it works. You have to trigger shriekers like 3 times before the warden actually spawns. You have plenty of time to get away. And even as it spawns you can just run off, because it takes it a while to finish its digging animation and sniff you out. Creepers are still more dangerous because they can actually surprise you. There are so many legitimate issues to complain about that you don't have to make shit up
minecraft with bros is held back because my friends are consoletards... even my pc bros go "JAVA is too hard to get right why would I buy it?" we pay for a fucking realm help me we are everything that killed MC (and i'm still having fun)
You can setup a GeyserMC server and have every client join. It's retard proof as long as you follow the docs.
Clearly when blocks were added it was the beginning of the end
They need to stop making constant meaningless updates
The only part of the game worth playing is the mods and they keep killing the mod community for nothing
It sucks dicks.
Additions for the game made the game worse and worse and worse...
>Hunger meter
>Villagers
>Levels/enchanting
>Pistons
>Phantoms
>Beacons
>And on and on and on...
The themed updates adds a layer of literally nothing each time.
The only update that was ok was the new terrain generation but it was already too late.
Of all the things you named and could have possibly named, why are you upset with pistons? There is nothing with them. In fact, they are great. They not only allow for immense creativity, but also allow your builds to be dynamic and useful instead of glorified 3D pixel art.
My only thought about Minecraft these days usually include contempt for its current developers and/or the fun times I had in past playthroughs.
I get the impression that the current Mojang doesn't know what it wants the game to be.
Nobody cares about vanilla minecraft, take the modpack pill and start having fun.
I just feel as if they could've done a lot more with the Survival aspect but chose to instead appeal more to the fags who stay in Creative and go WOAH at every little thing in the overworld
I've always had more fun with Terraria than Minecraft, and that's cause Terraria's progression is a lot longer and has more steps than Minecraft, but also has proper combat and classes, several bosses, NPCs and it feels a lot more rewarding than Minecraft where you can find almost everything you need (From Coal to Diamonds) from a single cave system, and not even have to go to the surface once if you have enough Wood
Total Miner was always the better game.
Copper still sucks, it's still fucking useless, copper blocks are still ugly, and the ore veins still clog up every mine and cave
Why the fuck can't I make basically anything iron out of copper? Copper chains, fences, doors, lanterns, trapdoors, etc., why the fuck is it just
>ugly blocks and stairs
>a lightning rod that is borderline useless to the normal player
Along this line of thinking there's no reason you shouldn't be able to make deepslate tools or furnaces. Having the entire lower layers of the game be deepslate is a fucking pain because you need to backtrack to make things you normally should have been able to make.
Microsoft ruining it for the sake or their own greed.
>Why?
It's what they do. It's the agenda they promote.
>Let's make everything blank, stale and at least slightly political by association.
If someone who loved the game were to have expanded on it, it would have turned out much, much better.
The more recent updates feel disjointed and forced, and I'm never getting a Microsoft account either, so I cannot update any farther.
KINO
this exists and they are going to release the next update soon (it's in prerelease state)
1.16 was cool, but haven't bothered with anything past 1.12.2 extensively. The modding scene carries things single player wise.
I haven't played minecraft in 10 years now (not joking). Used to play with tekkit. Is that still a thing these days? Some of those ray traced shader packs look really cool, but I don't have the hardware to use them unfortunately.
Everyone uses Forge, every other modloader is a meme
Mojang has actively been making the game worse for years and I can no longer stomach MC outside of tech autism modpacks
Minecraft died with Thaumcraft
best modpack?
GregTech: New Horizons
okay, Ill check it out
What mongoloid decided that is was a good idea to entirely change the art direction of the pixel art? Everything looks washed out.
10 years of wasted potential because Jeb wanted to chase RPG mechanics instead of expanding on the building game Notch made.
