After you finish Iceborne, whats the point of MHW anymore? I want to play something new even if its worse. MHR is a fine game and now that's 4k60fps instead of 720p30fps, I will enjoy the shit out of it.
My problem with iceborne is that a lot of the base game monsters hold it back, the only interesting fights are the title update fights from iceborne and some of the stuff added in iceborne, every other game you have plenty of fun fights to fight and even base game monsters were still interesting

Still waiting for Sunbreak to buy a combo of them both. I've already got Rise and Sunbreak on Switch so buying both separately again is too much.
Its kinda retarded they didn't just sell us both at once. How greedy can they be? the console version is 10.0.2 which includes all the Sunbreak content and balance changes.

Not that anon but for me the reasoning is simply because PS4 was the platform I got World on and I'm a trophy whore so I want to get the Rise platinum. Plus my console set up is comfier than my PC set up.
Based, that's exactly my reasoning for getting Rise for the third time. I platinumed MHW and Iceborne, and now Rise as well. Its going to be a cock to get all of these gold crowns, thankfully I didn't do the achievement grind on the switch.
Rise crows are significantly easier to get than they were in World cause Rise has a shit ton of events with guaranteed small or large crown monsters. Plus in general they made the rates for getting crowns easier. I still have conniptions thinking about the 200 Val Hazak's I had to farm for the large gold crown.
For me it was the Kirin. God that was a tedious grind. I have measured so many horses I feel like I can work at a ranch.

Different PCRise anon here, out of the four mods I use (cutscene fps unlock, matchmaking region unlock, no blinking icons, auto cohoot nest) only one is "cheat" tier, but looting both nests every 5 quests is way too fucking tedious so I don't feel guilty about it.
I don't see why one would care about others using cheat mods, though. So there are people using overlays, drop rate boosters, no cost/all mats shops etc. There's no pvp, they are not griefing me in any way, why would I give a flying fuck about them?

I as a non cheater, want the garden gnomeel to drop so I need to cut his tail and break head for the garden gnomeel, while the cheater who has 999 of each material doesn't even care so he will just randomly attack whatever he wants. If he wasn't a cheater then he would be also focusing on hunting properly and actually helping the group. That's one way and one example of how cheaters negatively impact others online.

If you added any consumable or material that you didn't earn by legit means then you are a cheater. Including hacked charms and the rest of it as well. You run into cheaters all the time, you simply don't consider cheaters a problem since you are one as well.
You probably have a different definition of cheating. Any mod that modifies the game in a way that alters gameplay is a cheat. Most PC Hunters are cheaters under that definition. So that anon is correct.

there are four cheats there and all of those are multiple downloads per person because every update breaks the mods, actually it may just be three cheats unless you're really going to consider weakness icons you can just look up anyway in the monster list a cheat

PS5 games have begun supporting 120hz televisions, but the games are being future proofed for it for the time being. PS5 Pro (if it ever happens, and frankly I hope not) or PS6 with BC should be able to handle that. But MH Rise has no excuse to NOT achieve 120fps on PS5 given the hardware the gamebwas built in. It just takes Capcom not being lazy fuckheads and actually doing it.
Capcom severely oversell PC system requirements for Rise, they might not be aware how easy it is to run.
