Even when hitting the enemy from behind, there is always a perceived 50% chance that your shot will miss. How did they pull that kind of crap? Many people complain about the system of random laws in every battle, but it is nothing compared to the constant very high evasion of ALL enemies

yes, having a stat system that doesn’t affect hit chance is moronic. If you’re over leveled and hitting from behind, you shouldn’t be “randomly” missing a bunch of attacks.

Sid Meier talked about this during a speech. Don't remember which game he was talking about, I think it was some Civilization variant. Basically they had to rig battles in the game slightly in favor of the player, to avoid complaints about it being unfair.

You haven't seen missed attacks until you've played picrel

This bothers me too. Circling from behind to attack is the predominant tactic, it eclipses everything else
Is there a balance patch that fixes this shit?
    Is it still in A2?

I beat this game like a month ago and low accuracy wasn’t a problem. There were a handful of misses that were annoying as frick, but if you use an attack enough times then eventually you’ll have a miss even with 95% accuracy.

In A2 it changes damage instead of accuracy, it’s still important and what a lot of the strategy revolves around. I like it, makes me think about positioning more than most tactics games do.

I got to the optional tower mission in a2 where you have to complete top level to get a really good item and I got annoyed with the moonless that keep slowing you down then those monsters one shotting/cursing you.

If you know what im talking about, will the mission pop up again if I go on without it?

The tower appears periodically and you should be able to attempt it at a later stage.

he's like any other moogle, and jugglers are broken. There's no reason not to use him unless you're dedicated to leaving moogles out of your crew.

I got stuck on the mission where you're fighting a bunch of ninjas and you have to protect the female npc and it'd piss me off cause she'd act like a complete fricking idiot and then my phone died (not battery) and I didn't get to back up the save file.

The Marquis Elmdore fight on the roof?

That one is complete bullshit because both him and those ninjas have a high speed stat and they can one shot the wonder twins you’re supposed to be protecting before you can even take your first turn.

difficulty in a video game is fine, indeed, it is necessary. however, the difficulty must be well balanced with frustration. A game can be VERY difficult without being TOO frustrating. A turn-based strategy game where units miss the target half the time, regardless of stats, IS NOT a good choice, because it just makes the experience frustrating, without even really impacting the difficulty of the game. That's not good. it's a cheap mechanic to make the game artificially longer and more frustrating than it should be. Does this make the game unplayable? absolutely not. FFTA remains a good game. But with the missed-attack mechanic, they've screwed up big time.

they didnt screw up shit, this is just your personal issue because you're a moron refusing to learn the mechanics of the gameplay.
