Trying to make a thief mage assassin build. Should I pull the trigger? I want to use magic and do dark brotherhood/thieves guild quests
ok. what's the issue? make ur guy and play
should security be a minor skill?
i'd make it minor and put short blade in major.
keep in mind you need to level up your major skills a lot into order to level up your character, and youll probably be using a short blade more than lock picking.
if you keep it like this you may level your character a little bit slower, but it's perfectly playable as is.
>keep in mind you need to level up your major skills a lot into order to level up your character, and youll probably be using a short blade more than lock picking.
did not know that, thank you. Any other information I should know about leveling scaling?
in order to level up your guy you need to level up the major skills 10 times. that's pretty mucch all there is to it, other than that, skills and levels are pretty much the same as they are in oblivion and skyrim
>make a level 1 lock spell
>cast on door
>pick door
>Alteration and Security level each other
Frankly there's no reason to take security if you're talking Alteration anyway. Unlock spells are piss easy to get.
What should I exchange it for? I think Ill use illusion for most of my stealth needs but I was thinking of getting acrobatics too to make getting around easier. thoughts?
Conjuration, so you can summon weapons and armor when you need them to travel light. Also syncs with Enchant, and Mysticism leveling
>summon whatever the largest soul for the particular gem is
>soultrap it
>kill it however you want
>enchant/recharge shit
based, thank you. Final Q, should I change my sign?
I'm personally a fan of Atronach, myself, but it's up to you. It's piss easy to get around the Atronach's stunted magicka, just head to the Temple, hit up the Tribunal Shrine, and get "Almsivi Restoration", you'll eat most of the blessing. Alternatively, you can summon an Ancestor Ghost, and smack it a couple of times. It has a spell that'll recharge you pretty damn quick.
Im still new to the game so Ill start with apprentice and maybe respec later if I feel ready. thank you
>dark brotherhood
not joinable in morrowind
OP, there is an assassin guild you join, but theyre not the DB
>mw
>build
moron just sell some ebony armor and buy all skills to become a god
reminder that you have to rest (not wait) to level up. You can rest by pay for a bed, using guild's bed or be a hobo and wait outside of town
Yes but you can also use 'rest until healed' option to level up, in case you cant find a bed and youre in a middle of nowhere
that's what being a hobo is about anon
and if youre not aware pic related is a problem you should mod out with "delay dark brotherhood attacks." they have no reason to hunt you until you gain some notoriety, but as is they start immediately, which is basically 100% an oversight of the devs
Ive gotten an urge to replay morrowind recently myself actually. I havnt played it since it released on PC and never touched any of the expansions.
may as well give openmw a shot
yeah, try it, sad that openmw makes Morrowind playable but turn into Morrowind special edition with the modding scence (at least Tamriel Rebuilt is fine).
OpenMW would be the way i would try it for sure my only hangup is i really fucking hated the level up system in vanilla so id need a mod but it looks like there are mods for it at least.

MCGDMW seems like its probably the best bet for something. All i know is i dont want to have to fucking keep track of skill levels on a notepad ever again. Fuck that garbage.
>All i know is i dont want to have to fucking keep track of skill levels on a notepad ever again
so dont min max your levels. its not a tough game to become overpowered in, even without any exploits. I always put one point in luck each level, which is pretty wasteful but not a hindrance at all
you should play oblivion instead
oblivion was my first elder scrolls b
Is a no magic build even viable in MW?
no magic as in no spellscasting is okay. You still need alchemy or enchanting to compensate though
a pure anything is technically hard mode. pure thief, pure warrior, pure mage. mw is meant to be multiclassed.
I'm always a Nightblade. I love the play style
The only build in morrowind is spellsword. You are making a spellsword or a shittier version of a spellsword.
>but roleplay!
There is no roleplaying in morrowind. Morrowind is a hiking simulator. Elder Scrolls was never designed as an RPG. Every "roleplaying" mechanic in morrowind can also be found in pretty much every AAA goyslop normalfag action adventure game like GTA V.
Just go to Balmora and buy a 100 Damage Health for 1 Second spell.
>taking security and alteration
