There's a lot in the endings they could use like the beings above the elder gods, the titans. Could be how they promote Havik to be the main bad guy. The titans don't like how Liu is shaping the timeline to be "perfect" without the need for Mortal Kombat because order needs chaos to thrive and Chaosrealm invades instead of Outworld causing the need for the tournament.
