Now this is skill issue. Sumeru's exploration was absolute peak and the best in the game. Most fun I've had finding secrets and goodies doing fun tomb raiding shit for a few days. If you didn't enjoy that, you're a weak pleb playing the wrong game. Getting Sumeru to 100% exploration was the best content this game has had in it's whole life and felt like the true start of the game. Sumeru is the best region and it's not even close.

Dendro is the most broken element, and it has two strong reactions with Electro. So because of Keqing's electro-infusion and her attack speed, she can shit out damage.
Keq + Fischl + Dendro Traveler + Sucrose/Venti/Kazuha can be fun, given you won't have any other Dendro option except Collei (I think they give her out free?)
I got her a during Nilou's last rerun and I haven't dropped her since, she's really fun IMO.
She got a huge buff with Dendro; she's basically the queen of Aggravate. She's good in basically any Double Electro+Double Dendro team, although my personal favorite is Keqing/Nahida/Yae/Kirara.

Her water skills apply to all Fontaine characters, except her ability to detect healing fish. It's fine to use her if you like her, but do NOT pretend she's good, or even decent.

All 4*s since Sumeru are either dedicated supports for specific characters (like Faruzan or Mika) and/or they're shit. The only exception is Dendro, but that's because Dendro itself is inherently busted, so Collei, Kirara, and Yaoyao will always be passable unless Dendro somehow gets nerfed.
Lynette is not a dedicated support, and everything she does is done better by everyone that came before her.

It's harder to get hers out, it hits less enemies, and it doesn't even do anything neat, like Sucrose upping the EM of the party. The Atk increase she gives is negligible, and we even have characters that don't use Atk for scaling their damage at all.

its been pretty good so far, but i can see where things would have dragged in the game as they were being released. the biggest hurdle so far has been trying to catch up on reputation for each area but thats just time gated and i cant really do much about it. i dont really have any interesting stories to tell, im just reaching the end of the sumeru archon quest right now and the desert has been hellish but the last area was pretty neat. im looking forward to fontaine because i heard its better, ive only explored a little bit of it for events. ive also noticed that the big unvoiced world quests are almost always more interesting than the archon quests, whats up with that?

They have less constraints is what I think, most people will skip them, Fontaine will also give you that idea because its world quests are very good and they're all interconnected in an overarching story, I'm actually looking forward to their finale more than the AQ, and this isn't a demerit of the AQ, just merit of the WQ
hellish in that it felt like every 10 feet they were introducting a new mechanic for some kind of puzzle or enemy and whatnot. none of the other regions really felt like that. plus just the size of it and having tons of underground areas and invisible walls and platforms and all that, thankfully they added map changes before i got there for the underground stuff. it felt like a big leap up in area design in a good way and i dont hate it but doing it all in a short span makes it seem like a constant tutorial popup bombardment. that just might be because i didnt have to wait between patches to do it though. i enjoyed sumerus archon quest for the most part, its certainly better than inazumas was, which went at a breakneck speed to a mediocre resolution imo. i also now understand what people are saying about the increase in the amount of talking compared to combat sections as the game goes on but it hasnt turned me off from the game yet.
Each time they release a new part of a region these days, it also means new enemies, puzzles and mechanics, so I can understand how it must've been exploring them all in a short period, especially the desert that has a lot of Indiana Jones stuff

yeah, they will stop shoehorning small combat sections everywhere, some parts will still have gameplay, but it usually reflects more about what's going on than a suddenly "some monsters showed up, let's fight", you'll still get the cool domains though

She's really not that great, but if someone's new then her dash will be really nice, since they probably won't have Yelan or Sayu. I use her for Fontiane exploration because she's cute sex cat and her dash is good enough. But also I try to always use the regions characters when exploring the zones for the first time.

I remember when I first started and actually used Beidou a lot because I loved her design. I didn't know how shit she was at the time so the game was kinda difficult to some degree. Granted I still use Eula for a lot of overworld stuff even though she's equally bad. This is probably why I don't bother with abyss much where I would have to use the same dendro-centric teams .
Beidou is actually good, she just lacks synergy currently, her competition also is Fischl which is busted
My recommendation is to always level slowly your new characters if you're using them for exploration, you'll get some good mileage out of it
Eh I can't really find use for Beidou anymore because as you said she lacks synergy and Fischl is pretty much strictly better than her. But I'm pretty used to characters I actually like being on the lower end of meta. But for the record I didn't mean just using her as a quickswap in and burst, I meant using her normal strings which are some of the worst in the game.
She won't be a good proper DPS, at least I wasn't successful with her at C6

You can't even roll for Mona. Keqing had a banner, and I think Jean and Diluc did, but you can NEVER guarantee getting a copy of Mona.
aside from her ass though, at least most of you are not missing much. her skills hydro application is god awful. as soon as i got kokomi, i pretty much benched mona. the omen is overkill for all overworld purposes, and there isn't many abyss scenarios where i needed that extra damage from it.
i fucking hate that hoyo has all these useful features spread across all their games but won't implement them across them all. feels so fucking scummy to me knowing they know they could implement it at any time, but just choose to sit on it until public sentiment starts to dip a bit on that particular game, then they get a public image boost by introducing it later.
Genshin is the moneymaker, Honkai is the passion project that they don't expect to sell.

I'm concerned if triple banners might be an overwhelm for new players, taking in count each patch gives you less than a hundred rolls for free. And most of those "free" rolls are mostly by doing exploration and stuff... You'll have lot to do.
I’d rather have more choices than be forced to wait literal years before a character I might want comes be back, its only going to get worse as they add new characters.
And that's fine, but what happen if three of the choices you want match one patch. The weapon banner would also be a nightmare with the current epitomized path, and it would be a matter of a time where the roster is so large that the situation of triple banners would be similar to the dual banners era, again.
It's still better than dual banners since it means that those characters will come back around faster.
I will never purposefully roll for a m*le as long as i live, that already limits my choices greatly. I could probably save up and get c0 during a 3 course buffet of female banners I want anyway, I highly doubt that I would ever have a difficult decision choosing.

Raiden is great too but she has dropped off a cliff these days and needs significantly more investment to work as a deeps since you want C2 + Her weapon vs Nahida and Furina that do greatly benefit from their respective C2s but don't need their wep at all
Zhongli is still great for shields and Venti is good when he works but Kazuha is generally better

I will probably try to get furina on a rerun. I don't personally like her design all that much, but I know how useful she is. Not sure if I will roll for nahida for a long time. I haven't had any issues so far with killing anything outside of abyss so no pressure to go for meta characters.
It'll be a while before Nahida rerun anyway but I strongly recommend rolling on her rerun. A good dendro applier is such a huge QOL upgrade, she can also grab certain items from a distance and you can read the minds of anyone inside the sumeru region.
Furina rerun will be in 4.6 probably so you can grab her then if you don't want her now.

Whoever designs the character kits is really incompetent. It just seems like they decide on an art direction for their animations and that's how the character will work whether it's fun or polished or not. Somebody shuffles the numbers around with no actual rules or overall sense of balance then the character releases revealing themselves to be painfully shallow again. I don't even think LoL character design is that great but that game and Battlerite for example showed you can do enough with just 2-4 skills.
Trend with Genshin seems that hags always get shafted in terms of kits. The only real exceptions are Raiden who isn't even all that good anymore and was an archon and Yelan who feels like a fluke. Every other hag is mediocre at best.

It's funny because it's the opposite in Honkai. Hags are always meta and amazing while if you're into e-boi/hebe then you're either suffering or begging for scraps.
I personally prefer petite girls so Genshin very much appeals to me but someone that wants something for them might want to check out HI3 or HSR. Just don't interact with the community if you want to keep your sanity intact.
I also play SR and really neither community seems that great. SR's is consumed by their dislike over Genshin, likely in part because many quit Genshin due to the male flood. And Genshin's is full of fujos due to the higher rate of husbando pandering.
But ideally we would all get good stuff. There really isn't any reason why hags, hebes and e-bois can't all be good in some capacity. SR seems to be a bit better about that balance than Genshin and Honkai so far at least. I think.
Ideally we would all get good stuff, be able to enjoy or games and be happy while allowing others to be happy but the world isn't such a happy place.
Best I can do is recommend you games that would suit your taste in characters such as Honkai 3rd, HSR or Nikke. Gameplay is secondary as I'm not you and I can't know what you like, i'm just naming games with a heavy hag focus.
I tried Nikke but couldn't get into the gameplay. I think MHY's games, for all my gripes about the company, work because they sorta feel like proper games rather than just gacha. I'm not really into mobile games and would rather just emulate Chrono Trigger or Dragon Quest 5.
I believe the upcoming healer 5* in SR is a e-boi? I'd also give that it is still fairly new but yeah so far I don't imagine e-boifags have too much in that game. Granted, Genshin has a pretty hard hebe bias as e-bois and hags both tend to be on the lower end meta-wise. Nahida and Yelan being the big exceptions.
Honestly, Nahida is so meta-shatteringly good that she makes e-bois good by herself. If Sigewinne has decent hydro application and isn't completely unusable trash like Dori then you could run an all petite team with Nahida/Sige/Fischl/Flex or even have dickybloom as a viable team if an electro e-boi that isn't absolute trash ever releases.
Or just save up for Nahida C6 and fill the other 3 slots with e-bois because she IS the team.

The only "e-bois" according to Genshin's model would be Bailu and Hook. All the "Teens" in HSR correspond to our teen model or maybe slightly smaller while everything else is taller/bigger.

The big fear is that HSR is a HONKAI game so everyone that played HI3 and experienced HI3 knows there's a decently large chance the game will go to the shitter and toss every e-boifag into a wood chipper like the original game did. The fact a large amount of the characters are maid/lady with no e-boi characters being datamined and very few young female chars doesn't really inspire confidence either.
But I'm not greedy and I won't whine about those games not appealing to me, I'm satisfied as long as Genshin continues appealing to my tastes and hitting those happy spots which is all I need.
So it's favoritism? A character like Sayu for example would've been a fun 5 star if her roll had momentum. In general I just don't think hoyo really tries with the kits they just prioritize a flashy skill that's functionally bland

In order to claim your free Lynette, you need to be AR 25 AND reached Fontaine, because the Event that gave her out expired, like the Xiangling and Collei events.
Xiangling and Collei were moved to the Spiral Abyss, you complete floors 3 and 5 to get them or whatever. Lynette is behind meeting her in the story now, so anyone "new" like you said can't get her.
