Ran a game a week ago before the group left for college again. I've got a half painted model sitting on my desk that I have been working on for over one year out of sheer laziness. If that doesn't make me a true fa/tg/uy I don't know what does. now you homosexual
it doesn't change the experience. it changes the moral dimension of it. the rationale is:
1. what hasbro is doing is unethical
2. continuing to play hasbro games contributes to the network effect that maintains their dominance
∴ one should not play hasbro games if one wants to be ethical
I think Anon's point is, any material you got from WotC is already bought and paid for and that playing or not playing 5e is the same thing as far as the OGL idiocy is concerned. Heck, playing only Third Party 5e games would be more financially supportive of the OGL, if we're following that line of logic.
Hilarious thing is, until this storm in a teacup, I didn't even know anyone bothered to make 3rd Party content for 5e.
THE CONTAINMENT GAME HAS BEEN BREACHED. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. CONTAINMENT GAME BREACHED.
post campaign notes and/or models

Same, and I'm taking the opportunity to run a DCC one-shot for them.
I for one am loving watching WOTC implode.
Gonna get mine to play some Unknown Armies, maybe learn them some GURPS, it's gonna be great.
"yeah I've been thinking about this game called Pathfinder"
And thank god for that.
>due to the OGL drama
Why? In what way does it change their gaming experience? This isn't rhetorical I genuinely want to know what their rationale is.
they go along with whatever moronic shit is trending on tiktok but i don't care because now i get to play dark heresy

>Company does something shitty
>I will support other companies and not support this company
It's not hard to comprehend.

Yeah but if I buy another company's phb then they get to see that even though money is going into the hobby, they aren't getting it.
>another company's phb
who out there is pulling an OSRIC and actually publishing another set of 5e rules?
Are you talking about straight up reprinting the PHB, or printing PHBs for their own campaign worlds?
Because there's a fair few of the latter.
guess i'll take your word
i've been pretty disconnected from dnd for over 10 years
We already had this thread. The general conclusion was WFRP.
