In my experience, it's been well-adjusted guys who just like playing vidya, and morons who hopped on the MGR bandwagon, saw the rest of the series on youtube, and later trooned out.
The latter has happened four times that I have seen firsthand.
Someone who thinks that there are no legitimate truths, war is an inevitability of the human condition and technological progress is the death of the abstract part of that condition.
Music was ruined, tone of the game was ruined,
Adding first person gameplay did nothing but further trivialize the gameplay

Depends what point of the series they like best. If it’s the first MSX games, a cool boomer who just likes playing cool retro games and probably knows a lot of underrated gems that they’re willing to recommend others. If it’s 1-3, a cool guy who may or may or may not have autism but is pretty knowledgeable guy about conspiracies and stuff. If it’s just V, I think they’re one of those alright dudebros who just enjoy open world games. As for rising, probably an alright guy who just plays hack and slashes and listens to bury the light all day. 4-V, a pseudo intellectual hipster who genuinely thinks things the The Last Jedi, that shitty HBO watchmen show, or the last of us are brilliant pieces of high art all while worshiping Kojima and Druckmann. Probably look a lot like pic related.
A general fan? Idk probably an autist who believes in conspiracies.
I imagine a white guy who also plays War Thunder without raging too hard and is generally a military-fixated geek without being a Wehraboo. Finds it interesting but also finds that the more stupid plot points and silly mechanics are what make it truly special instead of something playing it 100% straight or 100% comedic. Generally pleasant to talk to.
If he has certain ring/text tones from MGS though, he's most certainly a tool.
It's ok to like one or two MGS games, but if you like the entire series and see nothing wrong with any of them then you objectively have some sort of mental disorder

A lot of the cutscenes were redone after Kojima got way too into The Matrix.
That and some of the cutscenes were just redone to be a little....
