            >shit time for new batteries
Rechargeable in g603 lasts around 3 months, if you get a lithium battery about 5 months. Replacing the battery takes legit like 10 seconds. Oh no the horror of having to swap the battery 2-3 times a year wasting a grand total of less than a minute.
            >oops I have to stop, my mouse needs to charge!
If you're not moronic you have mouse with replaceable AA battery but even if you don't the mouse will work as wired while charging, literally not an issue.

It works out, the buttons are indented towards each other. You rest your thumb between G9 and G12 (or 10/13), and use those as mouse forward/back. The back set of 6 sees less use, but they're perfectly usable.

        Anonymous

        >what is that side button design, it it even usable?
Yes. I have been using it for years, and going back to a regular mouse feels like loosing a limb. The 12 thumb buttons have revolutionized my computer experience. I hardly even know which exact buttons do what. Pressing the right ones to achieve the desired result is second nature to me now.

I have a corsair scimitar and its been well worth the money. Its lasted me just about 6 years now and i have the mouse saved how i like it. Basically the thumb buttons are 1-10 with -= and i switched the dpi buttons to forward/back for internet usage. I dont use all of them all the time but for destiny i use 1-3 for guns, 4-6 is grenades, melee, super. I wont say it made me much better but i dont have to reach from wasd nearly as much anymore.

        Anonymous

They're fantastic for MMOs but you can also setup hotkeys or macros for anything else too. I've got shortcuts setup for Blender and Photoshop, for instance. It's a little on the heavier side though so I wouldn't suggest it for more twitchy games.

After using G502, I can't go back to mice without a free scrolling wheel. And despite people complaining about double click issues, mine has lasted me for 7 years now. I've got a wireless version sitting in a box in case this one decides to kill itself.

I use it for work because it's small and wireless, but I don't particularly like it.

Absolutely nothing wrong with a Deathadder, plus the Essential is going for only 20 bucks on Amazon right now, so for the shape and quality the DeathAdder usually has I'd recommend it. The Steelseries Aerox 3 and Logitech G305 are also really good cheaper options.

i bought a rival 3 back in september and have enjoyed it so far. my only complaints are the thumb buttons are a bit too small and there isnt much of a separation between them.

all mice die eventually because all the manufacturers realized they make more money when people have to rebuy mice. spend only what you need to spend. dont buy a mouse for its features, buy it for its price, because you will be buying it again.

I tested quite a few gaming mice, including all of the modern Logitechs and a few of the most popular Razrs. They all had one or more issues:
    >Rattling
    >Mushy buttons
    >Poorly placed/spaced buttons
    >Bad cables
They all had quality control/design issues. Also, they were all too small. The only mouse I could find that was large enough and had no QC issues was a Roccat Kone Aimo.

    >G403 that high
I'll admit that it's a good feeling mouse, but the insides are trash. I've had the switches on M1 and M4 start acting up after about a year of standard use. Worse yet is the scroll wheel snapped on both of the ones I've owned. One I bought and the replacement they sent me when I warrantied for the wheel breaking. I took it apart and the damn thing seems like it was designed to break. The axel of the wheel has a nice beefy plastic piece that tapers down into this tiny piece and then fits into the actual scroll part. Fricking thing broke in the same place on both of them.
I bought a cheap Steelseries Rival 3, it feels cheap, but it works so far. Not really any major complaints.

frick latency complaints. i dont want to charge/replace batteries. getting a wireless mouse is literally inventing a new problem for yourself to "solve" an issue that doesnt exist. you arent using the mouse 30 feet away from the screen. it doesnt need to be wireless.

The fact that modern Logitech mice still have double clicking is enough for me to not support them any longer. There's ample evidence that they're using cheaper parts on purpose. After my old Logitech started double clicking a few months ago I figured enough was enough.

Shame because some of them look really damn good, especially for the price, but I would rather support other companies at this point. Have a nice day.

i have a g403, its good but ive noticed the position makes left clicks feel delayed because of the large high curve over the top of the mouse requiring energy to be transferred to the very tip of your finger where its lightest to press.
id get a G305 shaped mouse next, since its smaller and would be easier to modify my pointer fingers position without messing up my grip on the mouse.

Had it for roughly a year, so far so good but for fricks sake the software that it comes with to allow rebinding the buttons and changing the DPI is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE unless you manually gut the software yourself by disabling components such as "mouse dashboard" which you can't disable regularly and hogs like 200 megs of memory unless you work around it.
