Also says the rumor of Persona 3 Remake at Xbox Showcase is true and is fully multiplat
There will also be a Persona spinoff in early 2024.
But the biggest of them all, P6, will be PS5 exclusive.
Source: Evian
If it's really PS5 exclusive then this confirms that Atlus sees the Western market as their only growth point and will fill it with poz as we've all been anticipating.
Fully expecting a college setting, black protagonist, and transphobia being a center plot point
P1 and P2 were PS1 exclusives, P3 and P4 were PS2 exclusives, P5 was a PS3/4 exclusive. What's so shocking about a new mainline Persona game being a PS exclusive?
Playstation is dead in Japan. The only reason to make it PS5 exclusive is going after muh west meme and forsaking Japan
Didn't it cross the 3 million sales mark back in March?
PS5 has the worst software sales in the history of the Japanese market.
Not very encouraging when Atlus wants to sell software.
You understand that the industry has mostly gone digital so the sales tracking can no longer be trusted, correct? Last year we saw Switch sales go primarily digital now too. Welcome to the future, you have much bigger issues to worry about than PS5 timed exclusivity, that is probably the result of Sony making another Persona anime for Atlus.
Digital is pure cope.
Digital sales have overtaken Physical, even in Japan. Nintendo said TotK sold 2.24 million copies in Japan but the Famitsu list only had it at 1 million, just as a recent example. Digital only is going to be the future and it fucking sucks ass, Japan and the Switch were the last 2 holdouts but both have now fallen for the digital meme and it's only going to skew further towards digital purchases as more and more people make the swap.
Pure fairness here: TotK got a much bigger discount in Japan if you bought it via the Voucher program. It's often cited as the same reason Xenoblade 2 sales bounced up after joining the same program.
Sure, but that program exists to ween people towards purchasing games digitally. It's the same concept as the older Steam sales where the prices were absurdly low and you saved a lot of money if you bought digitally and it got people used to making digital purchases until they became so normalized that they're the industry standard on that platform. The vouchers are most definitely a trap because they're an amazing deal, you always have to ask yourself what the catch is in that scenario and in this case it's very obvious that it's to get people used to the convenience of buying digitally and to amass a digital library so that people will have a bunch of games that will carry over to Nintendo's next console and make people want to continue to buy Nintendo consoles since they have so many games on it.
Sony did this with those coupons for 20% off an entire PSN order that came bundled with PS4s and it worked. Market conditions during the covid induced supply shortages were perfect for Microsoft to start winning over gamers again because the Series S was readily available and dropped as low as $200 but people still did not bite. They waited for PS5s to become available because it can play all the games they bought last gen. It's why EGS will never compete with Steam either, companies have now realized that locking players into their ecosystems with digital games is important because consumers will stick around out of sunk cost. The vouchers are an extension of that, so as you see more and more Switch owners buy digital you can without a doubt thank the vouchers for helping normalize digital purchases by offering consumers an amazing deal that they can't refuse.
While true in theory, the physical to digital ratios for Splatoon 3 and Scarlet/Violet were much closer to even.
The vouchers were only implemented in February of this year, right? Wouldn't that show that the vouchers are doing their job and getting more people to buy digitally when Splatoon 3 and Pokemon S/V were 2022 releases?
>more cope
Japan has not been nearly as high in adopting digital as the rest of the world. It’s certainly higher than it used to be, especially for big releases. Stuff like TotK end up with high digital sales because they become difficult to find in retail, so consumers that can’t wait turn to digital.
And here’s where you’re coping. At most it accounts for a 50/50 split, and even if you argue that a 50/50 ratio is normal in Japan(it isn’t) that still leaves PS5 software sales getting thrashed. They’re that dismal. The physical sales show an attach rate of something like one half per console, even a 1:1 attach rate is horrid.
Make no mistake, PS exclusivity is still a death sentence in Japan even with an allegedly high digital ratio. And now it’s tantamount to saying “we’re focusing on the western market.” Anon made the right call.
I don't get where this cope comes form. If Playstation is failing then why is it selling so well in Japan? How much longer are you fags going to keep using the scalper excuse?
It means they have a brain. The PS5 is the biggest Japanese platform that can handle the scope of the game. If you want P6 for Switch you’re a dumbass that actively wants to make the game worse
Thats a fuckton of cope and you know it. Also as a tendie, PLEASE keep Persona away from us.
It's day 1 switch 2 release
Isn't it already too late for that? P5 especially got nintendofags after Joker was put into Smash.
Its never too late to stop releasing Persona games.
They’re not going to make the switch the primary console to drop it on lmfao
That thing is dead multiplat wise
Lmao, better than your garbage Xenoblade games
>Xenoblade out of nowhere.
Love the seethe lmao
>Persona - makes fags and Redditors angry with how the game treats fags and trannies
>Xenoblade - is celebrated by fags and Redditors because of the chud in XC3
Better than Xenoblade.
Nuh uh
Nintendo good
Ganker told me so
Sony bad
>It means they have a brain

460.620
1.080.785
>Less software than hardware
That many scalpers?
There's literally no software to buy.
People are playing their PS4 library on PS5.
PS5 is like people upgrading from 1080 to 3080.
>It still has an attach rate of less than 1
Fucking how. This is legitimately insane to me. I get that scalpers and whatnot are a big deal, but the math still doesn't make any sense. If even half of those are real purchases, the average owner hasn't bought more than one game. What the fuck
The issue of saying your console can "replace a gaming pc" means that people are buying it for games like Fortnite and Apex. And that's actually where most of the PS5's money is coming from. Sony's financial releases show that cuts of micro-transactions are far and away the sales drivers which explains their sudden interest in Games as a Service.
It has 0 games. For it to have an attach rate of 1 game, it would mean to have at least 1 (one) game
Zero fucking chance P6 sells more than P5 as long as it's a PS5 exclusive. It took P5 3 years on two consoles that sold a total of 200 million units. PS5's shit attatched rate and much smaller numbers are going to fuck P6.
So in summary, this sounds exactly like the type of business decision that Atlus would make.
>og xbox software attach percentage is fucking multitudes higher than ps5 software attach
sony isn't making any money right now if this is the case
>less software than the wonderswan
holy shit
lol u sound like one of those cucks that would sperg on every thread that persona 5 on the switch would run at 240p 2fps when the musou with the exact same graphics was already on the console for over a year, meanwhile smt5 looks better and is a switch exclusive
p6 is gonna look almost the same as p5 and it could be run on a ps3 if the devs actually bothered optimising it
>handle the scope of the game
What? Atlus is not a AAA studio. None of their games are particularly resource intensive. None of their games have ever pushed the limits of any hardware they've been on. Ever. You think Persona 4 pushed the limits of the PS2? You think Persona 5 pushed the limits of the PS3? No. As of 2023, Atlus has yet to produce a single game that couldn't run on a PS3. While most of their games for the past half-decade have been on the PS4, none of them have even remotely used a fraction of the console's power. This isn't praise for the PS4, Atlus just doesn't make things that require more power than the fucking Switch.
And?
Why does it matter. Extra development funds and support from Sony on development, and then Sony probably covering marketing costs would still be worth it to Atlus.
It is also because Atlus is the company that milks their games the most i've ever seen. They literally take 8-10 years to release a new persona. P5 could run in a ps3 because it was probably projected to run in one at first.
P6 jumped an entire gen.
Not my point. P5 doesn't even use half the PS3's power. It would greatly, greatly surprise me if P6 turned out to be so graphically intense that it could not conceivably run on vanilla PS4 hardware.
>the scope of the game
>a few short braindead dungeons with dead ends here and there
>static, repetitive time management sessions
>visual novel everything else
>Fully expecting a college setting
This would objectively be a good thing though. Would allow for more social sim options AND it'd piss off all the pedovermin on Ganker. It's a win-win.
>AND it'd piss off all the pedovermin on Ganker
What if the game has a college protag and you can still romance a high school girl?
Go play Yiik if you love your Persona College premise so fucking much.
>"But that game is shit!"
Not my problem.
fucking rent free jesus christ
are all the zoomers on Ganker this fucking retarded? Persona is a franchise associated with playstation, just like MGS was. they are only now releasing it on other platforms because exclusivity isnt viable anymore.
all games have poz in them now, look at zelda they made link a literal chud and its not even ironic, link is becoming a trans icon
Man I say this as genuinely and lovingly as possible go the fuck outside
IT’S OVER.
Which mainline Persona launched as a multiplat?
None. Hmm I wonder... Will Persona 6 be a PlayStation exclusive... Really gets the noggin' goin'.... You absolute drooling troglodyte
You do know these companies make deals years before game is out. Sony could have easily secured exclusivity for p6 after p5.
Incel gays are so retarded
I dont think Fatlus would alienate their core nip audience like that and go the Square route like Forsloppen with Americhud pandering, just cant see it
I can. Atlus is ran by a bunch of short-sighted, money grubbing retards who will absolutely accept cash to keep P6 exclusive to PS5. I wouldn't even be surprised if they were paid a measly 10 million to do it for 2 years.
chud shills on suicide watch
>Fully expecting a college setting, black protagonist, and transphobia being a center plot point
Then it works cuz most snoys are what you described in your post.
>timed exclusive
Lmao they realized PS sales alone wont be enough
More like they realized they're leaving truckloads of money on the table by not releasing on every other platform
FUCK THE SWITCH!
What else would it release on? The Switch is too weak to run it and Japan doesn't care about PC and Xbox.
exactly. people expect studios to still release game on ps3 hardware in 2023 what the hell.
bro you must have been living under a rock for a few years, atlus shit is now mostly multiplatform
With a delay. The only reason P5R came to Xbox is because Microsoft paid for the port. If Microsoft isn't willing to pay for the P6 port, then it won't come to Xbox.
Soul Hackers 2 was released on Xbox and Playstation on the same day wasn't it?
Doesn't count
Atlus games have only been multiplatform literally only because MS paid for ports.
PC versions only hit once a game reaches bargain bin levels of popularity.
Well, sometimes the devs are just paid to hit the "Export to Windows" button in UE4 and upload whatever shit got squeezed out onto Steam. That's what a Day 1 PC "release" is nowadats
P4G and P4R sold a lot on PC.
yes but they know pc crowd will wait or double dip and valve doesn't buy exclusives
making games timed ps5 exclusives is basically free money from snoy
lol
What exactly is so demanding about a new Persona game?
It better feature some truly revolutionary state of the art tech then lmao
*Also on PC
Keeping out PC would be the stupidest thing they could do, but this is also atlus under Sega so it's very possible they'd find a way to fuck themselves over
Always bet on Sega to take the most retarded option possible. Always.
Even MK12 is coming for the Switch.
Only Capcom RE Engine stuff can't run on it for whatever reason, except MonHun.
>Japan doesn't care about PC
PC is literally on par with PS5 in Japan, you can look for yourself on Steam and see that Japanese is growing month by month.
Probably the esports scene.
I doubt Japanese build PCs for JRPGs or anything like that.
Idk, seems to me like the tide is changing over there. Here's Square Enix shilling Steam on their recent TGS stream. 2.22% of Steam puts it at ~3 million users
Are japanese unable to install a launcher.
You say that as if burgers aren't also babied the fuck out of in corporate tutorials
zoomers universally can barely operate a computer. there are students in physic courses right now who dont know how a folder on windows works
Unbelievable. How can this happen to the generation that grows up with the Internet?
Thank fuck.
t. millennial who works with computers

one may imagine the skin color of said "zoomers"
never met a white zoomer who didnt know how to use a computer

>P3 Remake
>still won't combine P3P and FES
Fucking book it. Also I imagine they won't touch Tartarus, its just randomized dogshit random battle trash.
>still won't combine P3P and FES
That's a good thing though?
FES doesn't deserve to be tainted with Femc garbage.
>P6 only on PS5
Not surprising. The Switch would be too weak to run P6, and Atlus didn’t even release Soul Hackers 2 on the Switch.
>Atlus didn’t even release Soul Hackers 2 on the Switch.
The hell was up with that anyway? Why would they decide to release it on Shitbox but not Switch? It’s not even that demanding, if P5 can run on Switch so can Soul Hackers
Microsoft paid for it to be on Xbox. The Xbox version was even outsourced to Artdink
Why would they pump money into a remake of game they just dumped money into a movie quadrology for? Especially when if..., P1 and both sides of P2 still don't have any convenient means on modern hardware?
The director's previous project was TMS, they probably thought anything that wasn't Mainline or Persona would go onto the Switch to die.
P3 is a beloved nostalgia game, that's prime remake bait. Going the logical route and remaking the games most people never played makes less money so they're gonna be retarded about it.
I swear that image of Tatsuya asking Maya if their games actually happened becomes less of a joke with each passing year.
Developers don't remake bad or unpopular games in order to help them reach some potential they didn't reach in their original release, they remake popular games because people already like the popular game so they'll be more likely to buy the new version of the thing they already know they like. Remaking the first 3 games would be a retarded move on their part because they'd be releasing a Persona game that holds little similarity with what the series has become since 3, it wouldn't hold appeal for many Persona fans. I highly doubt even Persona 2's fans, as vocal as they are, would even buy a P2 remake if they did make it because they all just read the wiki and circlejerk about Hitler or whatever instead of actually playing the game. P3 fans will actually buy the game though.
>Developers don't remake bad or unpopular games in order to help them reach some potential they didn't reach in their original release
This is ATLUS, the same people who had to basically call a mulligan on the original release of Nocturne and saw the 3DS version of Soul Hackers outstrip the original.
Those releases don't change that they're applying the same logic to P3 that's been applied to games like The Last of Us and RE4 recently. Next to nobody would think of those game as actually needing a remake, but they got remakes because the developers of those games know people like those games and will buy a new version of them. They would be less likely to buy a remake of Resident Evil 0, so even though that game, or plenty of other games Capcom could have remade, stand to be improved a lot more than RE4, RE4 got remade because its popular, and P3 is popular too so that's what gets the remake.
>Next to nobody would think of those game as actually needing a remake
P3 actually could use a remake considering that the gameplay is absolute shit. People have been saying for years that if you fix that, it'd be the undisputed best Persona considering how much people jerk off the story of P3.
I don't think P3 needs a remake personally, but although I'd grant that there are people who think it needs one, I think even those people could admit that something like P1 and 2, nevermind if..., would stand to undergo a much greater transformation through a remake than P3 could. I don't even like P2 but I'd be more open to a remake of them just because it would be a bigger change than P3 could be. Regardless of where you stand on what could use the remake more though, I definitely don't think that was Atlus' chief concern, I think P3 is just getting remade because people already like the game so a remake of it is a safe bet.
But if that was the case, they would have remade P4 rather than just port Golden as that was the game in the series that had the biggest social and financial impact.
Redux was better than Strange Journey and I will die on that hill.
I don't think so, both P3 and 4 are popular, but P3's older, which I think would make it a more likely candidate for a remake. It also has some more questionable mechanics, but if the most important thing was how transformative a remake could be and how much room their is improve, then neither of these games would even be in the conversation because they're still popular to this day because they're good games even for a modern audience. Atlus have older games even within Persona that don't fit that bill, but those games don't have the popularity P3 already has, so they're not a safe bet for a remake like P3 is.
I think some of 3's mechanics are better than 4 and 5. 3's Knock Down system requires more finessing, and it requires you to really consider whether to use single target or AoE attacks, or even exploiting an already downed enemy to infinitely chain AoEs at the cost of your SP.
I think 3's a better balanced game, but the main thing I like about it mechanically is just the novelty of it, I don't think the Tactics system really works well mechanically or narratively, personally, but I like that they tried to do something different, and there's a lot of things like that that got removed in P4, and a good number of those things I think were reasonable removals, but it still gives P3 its own appeal unique from 4 and 5 to have that more experimental feeling to it. I'm not that enthused about a remake because of it, I know for a lot of people it's the story, characters and atmosphere that are the main selling point of P3, but I don't think I'm as attached to those things in P3 as a lot of other people are so, while I still think I like the game overall enough that I'd play the remake, I'm definitely not one of those people who say P3 with P5's gameplay would be inarguably the best game in the series.
>Redux was better than Strange Journey and I will die on that hill.
Many men have died on hills for wrong causes.
They jerk off the last three months while avoiding just how shit the rest of the story is. Like really, you bring up Strega or Ikutsuki and they will bend into pretzels trying to argue them away.
Strega and Ikutsuki are fine gay.
Ikutsuki's alright, but Strega's just dumb. First they're introduced as underworld assassins, but then the topic's never brought up ever again. Then they pick a fight during the mission in the Iwatodai station and then wonder why SEES is antagonistic towards them. Suddenly, they want to fight us to preserve the Dark Hour, which would be fine since they've been getting information from Ikutsuki and he hasn't been telling them the whole story, but Jin thinks its better to just commit sudoku instead. And in the final month, Jin and Takaya somehow have this revelation of Nyx's existence and they're somehow its prophets, spreading nihilism among the masses.
Strega's just an aimless group that has no real goal. Are they just making a living, wanting to preserve their power and lifestyle, or trying to bring cognitive death to all mankind?
no game ever needs a remake, just make new shit and fuck off
This has been debunked, actually.
Persona 3 and 4 are too archaic and need to be remade for modern audiences
They came out on the Playstation freaking 2! A damn retro console by this point
>unpopular games
P1 was the best selling Persona game until Golden.
The majority still don't give a shit about it nowadays. It rarely gets brought up outside of comparing it to the newer, more popular games.
>The director's previous project was TMS, they probably thought anything that wasn't Mainline or Persona would go onto the Switch to die.
Hopefully the director regrets that dearly.
>Atlus didn’t even release Soul Hackers 2 on the Switch.
And it was a massive flop, the absolute state.
>PS5 timed exclusive
I thought sony were trying to stop the activision buyout from happening
>timed exclusive
They learned their lession.
Seems like it, obviously it will improve sales
Guess ill just watch a youtube walktrhough. Not buying a ps5 for one game
Why would Persona 6 be a PS5 only game in 2024 while Yakuza 8 would still be on PS4 in the same year? The latter will be the more demanding game.
>Timed
2027 it is then no use to talk about it now.
>persona spinoff
so dancing, etrian or fighting?
Persons 5 already got a dancing game and Persona Q game, so fighting
>etrian
Get that Persona shit away from my dungeon crawlers. PQ1 and PQ2 were garbage and the only things good about them were the production values and the maps from PQ1.
PQ2 was fine, it's not etrian but it has a nice balance between the franchises. PQ1 was horrible
How did you even tolerate the constantly repeated "It's okay to be yourself and you matter!" aesop in that shit game?
Ah yes, I too love having dungeon puzzle solutions given to me before I can even see the puzzle
RACING
what would be the roster? christine, hell biker, johanna
Everyone's going to get a Race mode, like how Rise got a battle form.
Dating sim featuring velvet room attendants and personas (demons)!
I bought a ps5 a couple months ago so this isn't an issue for me.
persona 6 being exclusive is irrelevant, since it's just a beta
wake me up when they release persona 6 empress
>FES/portable
>golden
>royal
>empress
>not using regal
you are all dumb
>But the biggest of them all, P6, will be PS5 exclusive*
*also on PC
Lmao and yet tendies will fucking cope the switch 2 is just around the corner and publishers are lining up for it.
good, persona is a playstation franchise and thats where it belongs.
Ah yes, the game that hasn't even been announced has already an stablished exclusivity. They haven't even announced Persona 3 remake and that's suppose to come before Persona 6. Atlus lives in development hell.
>Etrian Odyssey
>The NEXT STAGE
Persona started at 3
This but unironically. I bought P2, got interested in the story, and dropped it hard for the gameplay. Shit just wasn't fun.
I'm the opposite. Started with 3, didn't like it too much but played 4 and loved it. After that I went back and played 2, also liked it. 1 was kinda shit and I didn't play 5 yet.
god, years of begging incoming
Switch 2 launch title
>Rumor
Why do you all take this as facts every single time.
Nate has a pretty good track record.
No he doesn't, lmao. He gets some 3rd party stuff right and fills in the gaps with educated guesses to look like he knows more and even admitted as much. He didn't know P5R was coming to the Switch when other leaders did AND revealed that info first and he even claimed Chrono Cross Remaster was PS exclusive among other things
it better be set in an international boarding school
>twitter
>rumors
Twitter is what everyone whose anyone uses in the modern world. Being pissy over it just makes you a baby,
>Times exclusive
What a fucking drag, they should just decline Söynys advances so they sell more
I hope it's true so I can laugh at its shit sales.
>p3p and p4g multiplat sold so bad atlus never made a post saying how well it did
Lol
They literally did a post saying that P4G did wonderfully.
>p4g multiplat sold so bad atlus never made a post saying how well it did
Why are snoys so retarded
Did P5 sell well even before the ports?
It became the highest selling game Atlus ever made
It sold 3.2 million in 3 years while on PS3 and PS4. Interested to see how P6 does being a PS5 exclusive.
It's coming to PC, and anyone that doubts that is delirious.
>P6 just a year after a remake
Bullshit
Atlus does all kinds of retarded shit so it isn't past them.
>timed exclusive
I'm busy with work and kids, I can wait. When they're ready for real money, it'll hit steam.
>P6, will be PS5 exclusive.
Snoy can't even fucking read the image he posted. It clearly says >TIMED exclusive
Does owning a console just rot your brain or something?
Sony fanboys have been retarded zealots ever since the PS1. It's like a mental disease.
Does it really matter? And you could call P5 timed exclusive too. For 6 years
Don't care about Shitsona 6
Where is my ReFantasy?
I'm okay with all this so long as the spinoff is P5U.
>PS5 timed exclusive
So how long does that usually last? Been waiting eagerly for P6, but I'm not buying a PS5 for it; especially if its just going to be on some other console/PC that I own shortly after.
PS5 + PS6 I assume, regardless Sony
By the time Persona 6 releases is going to be a PS6 timed exclusive lmao.
>Timed exclusive
How long do the obligatory expanded versions take again, might as well wait 2 extra years to get that
I wouldn't mind it as much if the expanded version could be bought as an add-on to the original game like how P3 and Attack on Titan 2 did it.
This, none of the changes they do are drastic enough to justify having to buy the entire game again.
>Timed exclusive
What's with Sony doing this anyway? Microsoft is just buying up Devs and making their games exclusive like they did with Starfield, while Sony is only really going for timed exclusivity, like with Final Fantasy 16. Even the games made just for the PlayStation are not getting ports after a while, like nuGod of War or that Spiderman game.
Microsoft did that with Tales of Vesperia for the 360 without telling the public that. Longtime JP Tales fans were pissed that they'd have to buy a 360 to play (and the systems ended up being sold out in Japan because of that)... then the PS3 rerelease with new content popped up and the fanbase exploded with rage.
My faith in Atlus has dwindled since the P4A rerelease. I think they lost their magic.
>I think they lost their magic.
They never had any. Persona is the Elder Scrolls of nips, it's a shit series but people will white knight the one they first played, and the 3rd entries of both are extremely overrated.
Persona aestheticly speaking always felt like a playstation franchise so it fits.
I would say yakuza games, MSG, silent hill, final fantasy, dragon quest, Digimon aestheticly speaking should be playstation execlusives from now on.
>MSG, final fantasy, dragon quest,
nintendo games
Dragon quest aestheticly speaking can fit Nintendo. MSG and FF no chance. Nearly impossible. It just... Feels wrong. Aestheticly speaking
What's MSG
Monosodium glutamate
makes my throat itch
Metal solid gear.
THEN WHY DIDN'T THEY PUT THE LETTERS IN THE CORRECT ORDER
Aestheticly speaking you might be into something.
I get what you are trying to say but the fact that they released Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII on switch undermines your point a bit
>Aesthetically playstation exclusives
1. What does this mean?
2. Genuinely have a nice day for actively advocating for exclusives for games that aren't even first party. Unless you're an unironic Sony fanboy, exclusives are good for nobody.
>Aesthetically playstation exclusives
>1. What does this mean?
Like do you have that feeling while playing something that you aren't comfortable playing it on that platform because it doesn't fit? The yakuza director said it for the switch and I feel like persona, dark souls, yakuza, MGS, FF JUST don't fit on anything but playstation. That's like playing gmod on playstation or playing age of empires on Xbox. It feels wrong.
>2. Genuinely have a nice day for actively advocating for exclusives for games that aren't even first party. Unless you're an unironic Sony fanboy, exclusives are good for nobody.
I don't mind these games coming to pc because they eventually come. But xbox and switch would just hinder them.
You have to look at it from an artistic stand point.
>But xbox and switch would just hinder them
They're Persona games. There's nothing demanding about them.
>But xbox and switch would just hinder them.
Meanwhile Sony will demand they diversify the cast so it has at least one moron and one chud
>You have to look at it from an artistic stand point.
there is nothing "artistic" about you being autistic and thinking Japanese games should only be on a Japanese console.
>JUST don't fit on anything but playstation
This is the actual brainwashing marketers talk about when they talk about turning brands into religions.
>Like do you have that feeling while playing something that you aren't comfortable playing it on that platform because it doesn't fit?
No, I'm not an autistic fanboy
>The yakuza director
You mean the chigyu that kept making dogshit decisions allowed the travesty that is Sakura Wars' reboot and gacha and then left when given an offer of chink money?
You guys keep picking the absolute worst people as your point of reference.
You're certainly a Sony cocksucker.
The Sony you loved who tried mad shit and allowed third party devs to do what they couldn't elsewhere is lonnnnnng gone. MGS, FF, persona were on playstation because of their policy and the revolution of the cheap support that was the Disc CD. What made the 3rd party devs flock there isn't there anymore. It's just brand loyalty at this point and it's hurting japanese devs much more than they thought.
>Nagoshi got fired/left the ship after sucking off Sony for decades (we now know he was paid for it and was constantly in restaurant on Sony's money)
>Harada has been crying on Twitter asking japanese to buy PS5
>Falcom who were mad sony bitches reluctantly admitted they missed the boat with the switch and still haven't ported their Vita games there.
>The japanese software numbers are abysmal
Japan is dead for Sony and those franchises can only count on the West to keep their boats afloat, and each time they rely only on Sony (who is more busy propping their own shit) they are shooting themselves in the foot.
>The japanese software numbers are abysmal
The software numbers worldwide are fucking ghastly. How the hell do you have a console with an attach rate that's below 1?
If you want how it’s because you’re cherry picking, Sony has a massive digital footprint with PSN and shit like Genshin Impact and Fortnite generate loads of DLC purchases. That doesn’t count as a game but it’s making a ton of money on PSN. You just had hogwarts legacy break sales records on the system as did elden ring and resident evil and going “muh attach rate” and posting old numbers is retarded
You're completely missing the point. It's not some data that is showing that Sony is doomed. Sony is going very well with the F2P MTX and shit. It's the third party devs who should be concerned. Sony doesn't need them anymore and they are not selling that much outside of the heavy hitters.
One Genshin is worth many many JRPGs on Sony's platform, Sony may want to keep the JRPG audience, but they are more of a burden with the new MTX landscape.
>as did elden ring
ER sold more on PC than it did ps5.
>hogwarts legacy break sales
SOURCE?
You have many Japanese devs breaking fucking records in sales, Fromsoft, Bandai Namco, Capcom, etc.
Most mid to large Japanese devs rely on sales outside of Japan even the likes of Falcom do now. Atlus best selling game is still Persona 5 and Sega’s Yakuza has the majority of its sales coming from the west. Japanese sales are not what any of these developers have lived and died upon for a long time. Global reach is more important to continuing these series
Persona and Yakuza sell better in Asia than in the West.
>Sakamoto: Yakuza 7" was quite popular in Korea. Perhaps it is because Koreans are more fond of RPGs.
>─ I have the impression that "Yakuza 7" is highly appreciated in all countries.
>Yokoyama: Yes. In Korea, the excitement was more than double the usual level, and in a sense, it was almost abnormal.
>Sakamoto: In a way, it was an anomaly. Other than that, the main overseas markets are Europe and the United States.
https://news.denfaminicogamer.jp/interview/220301a/2
Yakuza 7 really surprised me. It really did sell me on the "Like A Dragon Quest"-direction the mainline games are going to take. Judgment is nice for the real-time brawl action.
Okay but not all the japanese games are built to sell overseas. Capcom finally hit the jackpot with Monster Hunter, but until 3 Ultimate it was almost completely unknown outside of Japan.
Niche games are what Japan is the best at, and you're basically saying that they should try to appeal more to the west because they won't sell in Japan anyway.
We already see this in art direction, Arise was made to appeal more to the west.
From Software is a special case and I certainly hope the other devs will try to emulate their specific westaboo approach.
Exclusives, if made from the ground up for a platform and not just bought timed exclusivity, is always good and brings more games into the world
I love how people are now pretending Persona is some heavy game that pushes hardware to its limits.
This happened ever since Persona 5 became big with normalfags. People call it "AAA" and think P6 will have a fully open world Tokyo.
>Spent the last couple of years putting Persona 3-5 on every platform
>Go back to making P6 exclusive
If true, I wonder how much money Sony threw at Atlus for that timed exclusivity.
P3 remake can tide me over during the wait, already had to wait 7 months to play P5 and 6 months for P4.
Atlus won't bother with exclusives anymore. They've gotten a taste of that sweet, sweet multiplat money.
Lol they still haven’t bothered to put 5 on the switch despite putting joker in smash
Doubt they’ll put 6 on it either so what else is their PC of course but the Xbox too? Nobody gives a shit about that thing.
Anon...
https://www.ebgames.com.au/product/nintendo-switch/271651-persona-5-royal
>They've gotten a taste of that sweet, sweet multiplat money.
Exclusivity money can be sweeter, and especially if it's coming from a company that paid Bungie billions for fucking Destiny.
>Lol they still haven’t bothered to put 5 on the switch despite putting joker in smash
P5 has been on the Switch for months now anon.
Yeah but if they estimate P6 selling over a million copies day one, Sony would have to pony up a substantial sum to have it a timed exclusive. They don't have that kind of money
Fes was shit
The only reason I can absolutely believe P6 being PS5 exclusive besides the fact that all the others were PS exclusive for a while, is because Sony are 100% desperate enough to shell out however much money they need to, to have literally anything to keep people with Playstation.
>money
They literally get this shit for free. Atlus, square and sega are huge Sonyfags.
And Bandai Namco. Well, anti-Nintendo at least.
That only true when Nagoshi still there the moment Sega booted him persona become multiplat lol.
I just wish the spin-off will be the Akechi game, it would be the most interesting idea
How so?
He still has the most work to actually redeem himself and learn to properly use his wildcard. Plus you could tell a story that focuses more on detective elements and deals with the shit Shido left behind.
I could go with a detective spinoff that's more of an Ace Attorney sort of game. Even if he sets up some of his cases, he definitely has the smarts to play as an actual detective.
They let the P5AG domain go, so I don't think it will be. I would like to have Persona 5 Arena more than any other spinoff, but the Akechi game would be interesting too.
They let AG go but if we think about it wouldn't Akechi Gaiden or just Akechi Goro not be a retarded title? They still have B,M and U left.
>P5AG
I think this was something they reserved very early on for P5 Strikers
>fujobait character
Nah, no thanks.
Akechi is fucking DEAD. Even clown like Adachi makes more sense since he hasn't been killed off yet.
ill buy a ps5 for persona 6 bros, i loved spending time in persona 5 and persona 4 so much that ill pull that shit
That would be uncharacteristic of them. P5's PS3 release is the reason I don't have a PS4
so this is dead?
Who knows? Atlus hasn't said anything about it besides they're still working on it.
I hope so. That Nexus DLC portrait was ugly as fuck.
?t=55
I doubt it, but who knows when we'll see it. I'm more interested in it than any of their other planned releases personally, so I'd like to see it, but I don't think it'll be anytime soon. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up like SMTV where they went silent forever and then they come out with a release date and only really start marketing it then.
I don't think those would be retarded titles, but B or M could still be it. U is definitely Arena though.
Strikers 2 seems also likely and yeah Arena is a given with U as Ultimax. I just wonder if they wanna stick to all 3 if they'll release them even after P6 comes out. I always thought they'd try to be done before to let P6 shine but now I'm not so sure anymore
So PS6 game confirmed.
doubtful, they didn't even put out native versions of p4 golden and p3p on ps5.
Sega is not gonna pass up the chance to port the game to PC, it'll be a timed exclusive at worst.
P3 is the perfect canidate for a remake imo, both from a dev and business perspective.
>Nobody gives a shit about Persona 1 or Persona 2
>Persona 3 has preexisting popularity that'll sell the game, both from the people who swear by the older Persona games and the new players that got in with P5
>Nobody is going to throw a fit if you overhaul the gameplay
>Remake could actually improve the quality of the game, isn't like a SH2 situation where the remake could only fuck things up at worst and keep things the same at best
>Already have a bunch of P3 assets made thanks to P3D
>If you do fuck it up, nobody is going to care for long since P6 is right around the corner
>Nobody is going to throw a fit if you overhaul the gameplay
Now you really can't say this when the autistic screeching over P3P's streamling is still going on.
gives a shit about Persona 1 or Persona 2
A lot of people do actually and they seem to require a remake since they filter retards everyday with their gameplay and differing mechanics, Persona 3 doesn't need a fourth release by any means.
Even if the gameplay was changed to be like 5, I think newfags still wouldn't play it because the games still wouldn't have social links and the school sim.
You're not retarded if you get filtered by P2's dogshit gameplay, you just have standards. I almost envy people willing to just put the game down because I trudged through the 2 of those games and beyond satisfying my curiosity about them, they were not worth playing, especially Innocent Sin. Persona 1 is okay though.
>Says Innocent Sin has bad gameplay
>While praising P1
The only issue with IS is that it's an easy game thanks to how good your starting Personas are.
Not him but P1 has much better gameplay than P2IS.
P2EP is even worse than P2IS still.
It's true. P1 has good gameplay.
I didn't praise P1, I said it's okay. Its combat is tolerable outside of the encounter rate being too high sometimes. Innocent Sin is significantly worse, its even more braindead, the Persona system in the game is grindy, the encounter rate is worse, the combat is slower, it's atrociously boring.
The battle grid frustrates me more than anything in P2 by fucking miles. A pointless chore of a system that disencourages the use of attacks that don't nuke the entire field and simultaneously serves to drag out combat encounters where that sort of solution isn't possible. I will take P2's plodding auto-battles over that shit any day.
>A lot of people do
"A lot" can mean different things
>Nobody is going to throw a fit if you overhaul the gameplay
I still see people sperg out at the idea of 3 letting you control your party members directly.
>timed exclusive
It's shit like this that reminds me how standards can always get lower.
I really hope they get a new writer.
The story in royal was horrid at certain points, strikers has the worst story to date too.
>still no SMT V deluxe
On brand for Atlus
It’s bullshit. Did you forget how long P5 spent in development? For the PS3? Here’s a hint, Catherine was made so they could experiment and familiarize themselves with HD development for P5. Anything that’s necessitate PS5 hardware would take YEARS, 2024 just ain’t happening. Even if they make it for the Switch that’s way too soon.
Fuck this shit if any exclusivity turns out to be true. P5 Royal finally came to the PC and sold a fortune (to say nothing for P4 Golden which came out of nowhere and was a big seller ). Sega needs to get their boot on Atlus' throat properly to control their console and exclusivity autism; Sega seems to realize that most of their games do very well on PC if they don't fuck them up.
Its bad enough if Spiderman 2 is console exclusive until Sony gets their head out of their ass (despite Spiderman Definitive/Remastered and Miles Morales both doing really well on PC, like most Sony games released on Steam and eventually put on sale decently). but Sega should be able to control Atlus and other stupidity.
Sounds par for the course with Atlus retardedness, because there is no stupider company nor will ever be in the history of gaming
however literal who saying it isnt exactly a credible source.
If it happens, well, not a big problem since Atlus is still encouraged to make Big DLC, and PC WILL get Big DLC or Sega will unironically jugulate Atlustards.
Reminder P5 flopped outside of Playstation
Considering everyone interested in it either played it already or claimed to have played it when in actuality merely watched it, there's no proper incentive to try that shitheap again.
Strikers did.
Royal did decent.
Damn. I'm sure it doesn't have anything to do with how it was only playstation for 6 years, and everyone who wanted to play it already did or just watched it on youtube.
Yeal, let's pretend #breakfreePersona wasn't real and that tendies weren't clamoring for it because Joker got in Smash.
Even a small group of people can make a loud ruckus. Like I said, the game had been out for so long on only Playstation with no sign of going anywhere else that, anyone who wanted to play it either did or watched it. Whatever residual sales that would come with ports were always going to be pitiful.
So my original point stands and Atlus being the company it is will simply see this as
>ah, perusona onry serr werr in PS, hai
right? Glad you agree.
Sometimes I forget that people have a desperate need to "win" discussions.
>no don't call me out for bringing up such shit points and for bringing nothing to the conversation!
lol
Mate, if explaining to you why it performed better on Playstation prompts you to come out with a "Aha! I win!" comment, then I don't really care to continue this discussion. So yeah, I suppose you called me out. Very well done to you. We're all so proud.
I am glad you can admit your meaningless conjecture supported by no evidence is meaningless.
Good day, lad.
Just in time for you to learn nihongo.
I try, anon, it's hard. I want to go there and learn, not learn it at home where I can't apply it...
>Timed exclusive
Even bullshit leakers are afraid of betting on exclusivity lmao.
>All the anons itt confused as to why Atlus would make P6 a timed exclusive
I see that you guys are new to the world of Atlus business decisions.
Boy, everyone sure forgot about that game.
It managed to keep a hold on the fandom's consciousness far more strongly than Strikers did.
Atlus and Sega have always had a weird affinity with Microsoft.
I remember Tales of Vesperia and Steins;Gate were Xbox360 exclusive for a while too. Is there something special about Microsoft in Japan?
MS made some friends by picking up projects that would have died with the Dreamcast. It's why a good few SEGA properties like Panzer Dragoon, Jet Set and Virtual-On found homes on Xbox and 360.
>Release P4A on 360 despite that market having zero interest since Persona had been a PS exclusive at that point
>Also the 360 sold like shit in Japan
>Release Ultimax on the 360 as well
>Re-release Ultimax, but it doesn't have Rollback at launch
>Rollback is also exclusive to the PC and PS versions
>No crossplay
>No XSX release
What did Atlus have against P4A?
My guess is that is was mostly ArcSys wanting the rerelease and ATLUS kinda didn't care.
>y ArcSys wanting the rerelease and ATLUS kinda didn't care
did they actually had anything to do with the rerelease?
The only reason P4A and P4AU are on 360 is because the 360 was the FGC favored console back then.
>Yotuber.
I don't see why anybody would believe this.
Why do people think this is real
desperation
even contrarians are desperate and they want P3 remake to be the next gamechanger for the franchise
>even contrarians are desperate and they want P3 remake to be the next gamechanger for the franchise
I don't think anybody wants or expects that. I don't even know how you could imagine a remake of P3 being a "gamechanger". I'm sure people would be happy to have it, but it's not going to mix things up if it exists, it'll just be P3 but with updated assets and some changed mechanics.
>Twitter screencap thread
Fuck off
I don't want a Wokestation 5 though fuck you. PS4 is the LAST Sony platform I will own. Hoping Nintendo's new console is some super powerful device with all the Japanese games and eventually Persona 6 will be ported on there. PC port would be good too, either of those. Worst case scenario is that Persona 6 itself is woke trash and Altus bent the knee to modern Sony. At that point I will NOT be playing.
>Hoping Nintendo's new console is some super powerful device
LOOOOOOL
Just putting this out there: The Twitter in the OP is ran by an xbox shill and has been wrong or intentionally lied about news
So is there like a source for this or?
Just trust me.
It's fake but I went to Hashino's house and told him if he doesn't pull some strings to make it real I'm not inviting him to the next Warwick night so it should happen now.
None, but that Nate the Hate guy has been right about other things before from what I've heard. First time I heard about him was when he leaked Fire Emblem Engage way before anybody else did.
That's the same guy? I wasn't aware. If he is the same one, then he has a good record with the leak because the Engage one was incredibly accurate.
He gets stuff the most often right on Nintendo stuff but he is questionable everywhere else when it involves other parties. Project Typhoon being unveiled as Contraband was a thing but Gamepass on Switch and Starfield 2021 and Halo Multiplayer stuff he supposedly had inside info on where he was wrong? C grade would be generous with his accuracy, I would give him a D.
For Engage he literally just repeated what that chud leaker had said
It was revealed to me in a dream you bigot.
Really curious about how much support sony is giving atlus with P6 for this to happen. Probably something similar to FF16.
And curious about what they will even do with another P5 spinoff.
Makes sense because besides jrpgs like FF,DQ and KH, Persona is one of the only other jrpg franchises that got big enough in the last years to bring Sony's attention because they can sell it on a global scale.
It will probably be marketing costs, since I think Sony did that for P5, because no way did Atlus do some of those rentals out of their own pocket.
>And curious about what they will even do with another P5 spinoff.
Royal and Strikers both hinted at least one more major spin-off. Jose had a bunch of setup that had no pay-off and Strikers ends with the group agreeing to get back together during Winter break.
I feel like Microsoft or Nintendo would be happy to do that too. Imagine it as a launch title for the Switch 2, it could do well over its life time.
As we know, this will probably happen with P3 remake and the spinoff.
Why would Atlus care about marketing costs now when prior arrangements were fine? I think Atlus is getting "development help from Sony" via a direct cash check here in addition to what they have with Sony in the past with regards to marketing because they now have leverage with multiplatform releases of Persona.
Bro even fucking From Software allowed to sell some shares to Sony because sony has an absurd pipeline of marketing and distribution on a global scale. If the next Persona gets FF levels of marketing it could sell 2x faster.
From didn't do that. Their owner, Kadokawa Corporation, did. And they sold to Tencent at the same time. I also don't see a way for the marketing to improve upon P5 for P6 so it is redundant to think that getting FFXVI amounts of exposure which I think already is too much will boost sales more. Sega if they already made that calculation would be demanding development cost coverage via a check instead to derisk their investment and so they can get a higher rate of return on it with a smaller principal basis.
And? kadowada did that specifically saying how sony's expertise would be extremelly valuable for From's growth. Why dont you think this could be the case for Atlus?
Why would they accept Tencent's money at the same time and say one single statement in comparison then when the investment amount was the same? It's all PR and niceties for the Western gaming media to eat up when asked about it. No one is asking anything about Tencent's half of the deal so nothing else needs to be said.
Bro so every company is taking sony's money and it doesnt brings any advantage for them? is this really what you believe?
Even koei tecmo is developing a fucking AAA game for sony in the last 6-7 years called Rise of The Ronin. You need to realize that if companies take these deals, there is advantages for them.
A direct investment via shares and an exclusivity deal are two different things. You're conflating the two as the same when they are not.
Atlus's buyout was done in an auction, newfag.
https://www.destructoid.com/atlus-parent-company-index-to-begin-selling-operations/
The parent company was committing fraud and everything had to be sold off to cover the bankruptcy. Sega was the highest bidder and so got the studio and IP. Simple as that. There was no extended buyout period and deals with governments. It was a flash sale.
You're a retard, before the auction Atlus was offered to Sony point blank but Sony turned the offer down since as a company they're more focused on third party games than first party.
Flash sale means you don't have any extended amount of time to do a deal like that. An entity going through bankruptcy doesn't get to pick buyers, it's handled by a third party and sold to the highest bidder for a reason because the sole purpose is to get as much money as possible for all the assets to cover what can be covered from the default on debt which only a portion will be paid back. And Index didn't have a choice because they were raided and prosecuted by the Japanese version of the SEC. You can't make deals with someone like Sony in that situation to bail you out especially with criminal charges and the bankruptcy is practically forced upon you. If Sony wanted Atlus, they should've bidded higher than Sega but no one else did so Sega got them.
You're not listening once again. Before the auction, meaning before all of the drama about selling assets.
Again. Index doesn't get to pick when fraud is at hand and the bankruptcy procedure which is forced on them starts. The proof of burden is on you to prove your claim that Index wanted to sell Atlus to Sony before the fraud came to light.
Atlus literally offered themselves to Sony for a buyout before Sega did it. Atlus has had a good relationship with Sony for decades. It's not farfetched to to understand why Atlus gives Sony preference
It definitelly feels like sony woke up when we talk about japanese games.
This will be the first Persona with Sony's new policies. I wonder if it will be that different.
Persona 6 is coming out on the PS4 and PS5, Atlus cannot afford to ignore the 100+ million PS4s out there
I wonder if Atlus is still retarded enough for a JP release in 2024 followed by everywhere else in 2025
Nah. Sega has stated that the plan is for day 1 releases world-wide. That is the reason that we saw stuff like Soul Hackers 2 and Lost Judgment on Day 1 world-wide. Persona 6 will definitely be following the same rules.
>Rumor that the P3 remake will be announced at the Xbox showcase
>Rumor that P6 will be announced at the Sony showcase
So which is it? and don't say neither that would hurt my feelings
>Rumor that P6 will be announced at the Sony showcase
It doesnt say this tho. Just that p3 will happen in the xbox showcase. P6 will obviously be announced later.
But if P3 happens on xbox, we'll know it is probably true.
This was the same chucklefuck who claimed switch Pro was cummin bro. Every sat on that fag spawnwqves channel. He like's to larp as an insider
I hope it's just a console exclusive for the ps5. Let it come to PC day 1
That implies that Sega isn't retarded though
>P3P just came out in January
>expecting an announcement of a remake half a year later
bro it was a port. lol
They just released that shit in order to not make people whine about not having the older games on modern platforms.
Atlus works in mysterious and chaotic ways, they would totally anounnce the remake a few months after the P3P port
Honestly P3P getting the port makes a hell of a lot more sense if a P3 remake is on the way.
Could see it because
>20 dollar port
>people are bitching it is the portable version, about AI upscaling and shit audio compression
Atlus has received heavy criticism in the following games
P4A
SMTV
Soul Hackers 2
P3P
They gotta turn it around.
>thanks for the money for the port, now buy the remake with pretty much the same content, with minor gameplay changes
I hope the P3 remake receives a Switch port, and it's not a Switch 2 exclusive on Nintendo consoles
Fuck you
240p 12fps best I can do
I'll take it.
No, fuck you.
So why are Persona PS “exclusives” while 90% of SMT is tendie-exclusive (except for the PS2 era)
Because Atlus likes working with Sony. Very much like how the studio they own, Vanillaware, also does.
That doesn’t explain why they make SMT Nintendo exclusive for the last 15ish years
Because Persona is treated as the boundary pushing IP and SMT projects are lower budget that work on weaker hardware
P6 better have a trans protagonist. We seriously need more diversity in these games to help it sell. The only people will seethe are the chuddies on here
I unironically want a trap heroine you can romance, I don't care if the localization pulls a bridget and calls him a "woman at heart" or whatever
Imagine sinking so low that you want to have a chud romance.
kys namefag
>2024
Persona 6 isn't going to release until 2030.
can I just get a fucking port of P1 and P2 on something other then the psp
why tho?
you can play it on your phone or on PC
I bet there's a PSP emulator for CFWed Switch
because if they want to make money from me thats what I want, and no one did a jap voice mod for persona 1
I'm really afraid. Persona 3 has a very specific atmosphere and style. I want to believe that they will recapture and bring back the mid 2000s culture vibe and darker emotional tone with philosophical themes that are not shoved down your throat but knowing modern devs and Atlus, they will probably fuck everything up and make the same mistakes that a lot of remakes and nu media in general make. I want this Remake to be an actually faithful project that the og creators put so much heart and soul into. I want it to be a game that understands og's identity. I don't want it to be just a P5 copy with a different color palette.
Wasn't the writer of Royal's new arc the new head writer? That part was definitely more engaging than a good chunk of the original story. If that guy's in charge, I'm going to have a bit of hope that the hypothetical remake can remain faithful to the original game's overall feel.
We don't know. General conclusion is that the staff of Royal is going to the main Persona team going forward, but we don't know if the Royal staff would be working on P6 or if the focus would be on P3 remake and then move onto P6.
I vaguely recall that a few years back, Atlus was hiring new staff. Given that Hashino moved on to another project, my guess is that they went through some staff restructuring in order to expand, with Hashino and his team working on creating a brand new IP. Recall that the SMT team also went through massive restructuring back for SMT4. So there was a large wave of promotions and expansions in the past decade.
Since Hashino moved on to a new project, it's safe to assume that the Persona team has change dramatically as well, and it's likely that team that's been mostly working on shit like Royal. Persona is, for all intents and purposes, Atlus' biggest breadwinner, and I'd imagine that they're being somewhat more cautious regarding it than they would SMT4. For SMT4, they went straight into making a new numbered title, but they're a bit more uneasy about Persona. If the P3 remake is real, then it would probably be a pretty safe way for training and testing the newer blood. Atlus appears to be a lot less willing to gamble with Persona than they are with SMT or Soul Hackers.
>that pic
I never got the joke

You WILL watch the teenagers high-five each other during life or death battles and you WILL finish off the boss with a Looney Tunes tier combination attack and you WILL like it. Also Koromaru now speaks human language and makes terrible puns.
>Also Koromaru now speaks human language and makes terrible puns.
STOOOOP IT
What's wrong, anon? Are you finding the puns a little... ruff?
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
>You WILL watch the teenagers high-five each other during life or death battles and you WILL
Charaters quip constantly during battles, Hell one of Junpei's most beloved lines is his cheesy ''WHO'S DA MAN?'' battle quote
>finish off the boss with a Looney Tunes tier combination attack and you WILL like it
You mean an All out Attack? the mechanic that was introduced in THIS FUCKING GAME
Why do the people who most idolize something seem to be the ones who less actually know about it?
>clearly hasn't played royal
P3 is shit, a remake could only upgrade it
PS2-era ATLUS releases are unrivaled in SOVL, they never really came close again before or after
lower your expectations
>PS2-era ATLUS releases are unrivaled in SOVL, they never really came close again before or after
>lower your expectations
the high point of Atlus was the DS/3DS era
i start playing persona 3 for the first time yesterday and i learn about a remake a day after
must be a sign
Sony is ruining gaming with these timed exclusives
Exclusives have existed before your mother made the mistake of not aborting you.
I bought Royal on Steam very fun, went and bought 4 aswell but haven't started it
Wonder if it'll be a years exclusive or something like 5 was and was exclusive for years
P4A had the most boring, dog shit story I've read in years. It was a real slog to get through, and only my autism (after people said it was canon) forced me to finish it.
A spin-off of a spin-off?
>P6 PS5 exclusive
I'm not buying a PS5 for one game. I'm not buying a PS5 even for several games.
Big if true.
P3 remake releasing this year despite 2023 being almost halfway done and no official announce of any kind is highly unlikely (especially considering Atlus’s MO) but I’d like it to be true.
P6 being a PS5 exclusive is a safe bet, but I’d be surprised if we get anything more than a title drop by the end of 2024.
>all this persona shit coming out this year or the next
You'd have to be an absolute mouth breathing retard to think that this would happen.
Can't wait for Yukari to become even cuter and more canon.
aigisfags are going to be devastated by the remake
Xbox cucks getting the crumbs as usual
Fucking kek
I wonder if the P3Remake will show us a fast forward into the far future showing Elizabeth finally freeing the MC
Don't have much time, this is what Sony and Xbox are doing.
>PS showcase
P6 revealed, coming Fall 2024. Take place in Osaka, game takes a cue from Digimon, cast confronts the persona of people from an online perspective. PS consoles timed exclusive.
Project Re:Fantasy coming December of this year. More action oriented in the vein of Raidou, co-developed by Toylogic.
PS5 exclusive
>Xbox
P3 Remake announcement, coming Fall 2023, runs on the P5 engine, playable party, persona negotiations, most enemies are now actual personas but the original enemy designs are now sub bosses. Pacing of the story is changed, some S. Links are reworked, can be Door-kun or FeMC. Coming to all platforms

100 bucks for the entire collection. Available everywhere.
>persona negotiations
I call bullshit. You don't fight Demons in P3, you fight Shadows. Are they just gonna remove Shadows completely? That makes no sense. You probably didn't play the original game.
>Major Atlus game releasing quickly instead of being announced and then delayed over and over
I call fake.
i know it's fake but what's the point of remaking 3 anyway? it was re released 3 times already
Some people refuse to touch old games. So they get remade.
>OLD BAD
>NEW GOOD
To remove the heckin transphobia and other problematic aspects
>i know it's fake but what's the point of remaking 3 anyway?
The P3 Remake is not fake.
There's a small clip of leaked footage, and industry-connected people already confirmed it's been in the works for a while.
As for what's the point in remaking 3? Money, of course.
They released Persona 3.
They released an enhanced version and people bought it.
They released a PSP port and people bought it.
They recently re-released that PSP port and people bought it.
It's obvious that people will buy the remake as well. It's easy money for ATLUS.
>PSP port
remake*
The point stands.
>footage doesn't have evokers
begone Fatlus shills, official confirmation or have a nice days
im finishing up all side-content on strikers tomorrow, and this is what my game looks like. AMA
strikers didn't look like that the last time I played it...
you are missing out then
how
mods
good mods
yet they still can't mod some good AA
>Spend the past year porting Persona to other platforms to reach millions of others
>Rug pull them into exclusivity
This is why PlayStation deserves to fail. I have all the Persona games on PC now but don’t has to fuck over gamers by making a game exclusive to their shit box.
>persona 3 remake
>persona 6 ps5 exclusive
Believe me, until you experienced the joy of owning a PS5
YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHAT TRUE HAPPINESS IS!
If you actually got a PC you’d see why owning any console is completely retarded
>Persona 3 Remake
I'll believe it when I see it. And we know it will be a garbage remake even if it does happen.
Times console exclusive is more anti consumer than just buying the company.
Unironically, by law for most nations, it's the opposite. Which is why Phil Spencer is retarded for not spending 10 billion doing timed exclusives for literally hundreds of AAA/AA games to actually build up a fanbase before going for whole companies. Though I guess the timing was bad because ACTI was only this cheap because of the Blizzard allegations.
>Persona 6 is a PS5 exclusive
>Tweet says TIMED exclusive
OP is still a gay, how (not) surprising.
>planned late 2024
oh so it'll come out in 2026 at the earliest? Good to know
The knowers
I mean they made a Persona mobile chinese exclusive. At least they are working on p6 but fuck exclusives.
I litetally cannot afford a ps5 not just for one game and I love Persona. A damn shame.
this is a literal who and his word means nothing
Isn’t this just going to be the new normal? Persona 6 releases on PS5, 3 years later it comes to other consoles
I'll be alright with that. Let the snoys have their unfinished slop before we get the enhanced edition.
they get both first
BABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYBABYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
>Make all the Persona Games available on PC
>Next game is PS5 only for a while
Man fuck PlayStation so much.
Why can’t they develop great games instead of buying out 3rd parties for exclusives.
Even Capcom stopped this shit and it’s worked out well for them.
this is a literal who saying this, why do you think his word has any merit? because its a twitter screencap?
Because its atlus. They will fuck up on way or another.
P6 better have hot sexualized female characters with coomer outfits and P3 remake better not be censored
It'll be targeted to the West, so your first wish will come true.
Oh, wait, I thought you said "not" instead of "hot". In that case, nah, you're not getting your wishes.
Normies were a mistake, no fanservice = no buy, simple as
>exclusive
>for 3 years
heh
>Another spin off of a spin off
Best girl Miyeon!
>PS5 exclusive
>2024
So 2026 at the earliest, got it
>Persona 6
They haven't milked Persona 5 with all the spinoffs yet. Fake and gay
Who is this Nate moron and what makes him so special?
>Demon’s Souls remake announced for ps5
>the ps5 isn’t worth getting for one game
>Final Fantasy 16 announced for Ps5
>the ps5 isn’t worth getting for one game
>God of War Ragnarok announced for ps5
>the ps5 isn’t worth getting for one game
>Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth announced for ps5
>the ps5 isn’t worth getting for one game
>Rise of the Ronin a new JRPG series announced for ps5
>the ps5 isn’t worth getting for one game
>Sony now is securing Persona down which has always done well on PlayStation
>the ps5 isn’t worth getting for one game
Well holy fuck looks like the time persona 6 comes out that the ps5 will have more than one game worth buying
Between this, Metal Gear, Silent hill and all the rest Sony is bringing shit much harder than they did with the Ps4
Everything you listed is a timed exclusive. I'm not buying a PS5 if I can just play the game on my PC in 6 months to a year.
Any type of timed exclusivity is 2-3 years, even Rebirth has a multi year exclusive and nothing coming out on PC can really replace those titles within that timeframe either.
>Any type of timed exclusivity is 2-3 years
dont lie you stupid gay, 3rd party exclusives are not 2-3 years
yeah it's usually a 6 month or 1 year thing
Rebirth has a 2 year deal, so that’s not true
source?
Lol Square has said it has indefinite exclusivity for the ps5
Looks like it’s going to be another nine year ordeal like Bloodborne
>first 2 years
>now its indefinite
lol
>Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will have indefinite exclusivity on PS5. We’re expecting the game to take full advantage of DualSense capabilities, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers
source?
Lol cope, it literally costs less to just buy a ps5 and switch than it does to buy a PC and port beg for games that your machine can’t play and even when it can all you do it gamble on shit in counterstrike
>no source because he pulled it off laptop magazine.com written by a chud who misread an article that said rebirth will be exclusive to ps5, as in not on ps4
LMFAO
>more games are better
So why aren't you playing on your phone, anon?
With android emulation PC gets every phone game too. Damn its good to win. : )
What phone games are you playing?
Whats your source for
?
I think it's bullshit because I tried to Google search for it and couldn't find it.
>6 months to a year
*2-3 years
>Demon’s Souls remake
demake
>Final Fantasy 16
PC
>God of War Ragnarok
movie game
>Rise of the Ronin
PC day 1
>Sony now is securing Persona
your literal who is not a source. persona is a multiplat series now, with xbox revealing that fact lmfao
>>Sony now is securing Persona down which has always done well on PlayStation
Timed exclusivity. Sega will never make platform exclusives of their big IPs ever again because they like money. And Persona has done well on Playstation because that's the only platform they released it for. Wonder oh wonder, as soon as they released P4 on PC, it was a success. Same with making P4 and P5 now multiplats.
Atlus is done with real exclusives.
And maybe this can be an opportunity for Sony to make their own (J)RPG.
>SMT V was shit
>Soul Hackers 2 was shit
Who fucking cares?
I don't know how the music in P6 can get any better than P5.
>lying in the OP
It clearly says timed exclusive.
I don't see how these timed/exclusive deals benefit publishers. Any money gained from Sony (or whoever) isn't shit compared to sales from all platforms PLUS the benefit of increased mindshare which benefits you long term.
Why did they port P3P instead of P3F?
I'm guessing it's because it's the most recent one.
I would unironically buy a ps5 for Persona 6 and KH4, those are the only two games that would make me actually bite the bullet and after that it would just be the dedicated Odin Sphere machine like the ps4 is right now
Before you retards all get erections, Nate the hate is very hit and miss. The guy was one of the chief proprietors of the "There's gonna be a Switch Pro soon!" rumors, for example.
I still want SMTV for PS. Soul Hackers 2 looks like ass and you promised me SMTV for PS.
This board will start to be full of SMT experts who were there since SMT 1, saying how they love SMT5 as soon as it hits Playstation.
I don't give a fuck. Give me my SMTV. Or at least give DDS the Nocturne treatment.
Literally just emulate it
>I dont have a PC
then get one
>I live in a 3rd world country
then get a switch
>no
KYS
Glad we have an understanding.
If the remake doesn't have FeMC then I don't care.
Is anyone even excited for this, truly? I waited almost a decade for P5 and it ended up being such a paint by numbers experience.
We’re excited for new coombait material.
i am not sure how it happened exactly, but persona killed the blazblue franchise. it is pretty hard for any series to narratively or mechanically build past a crossover game, which is why arcsys settled for an AU phone game only playable in japan and flopped predictibly.
Since Yuko is captain of the swim team, was she allowed to go into the locker room while Minato and the other boys were naked to make sure there was no roughhousing?
She’s a woman, so yes.
So you're saying Sonybros are going to pay to beta test it for me? Thank you for your service.
cope post
Cope? Whatever do you mean? I'm genuinely thankful that all my internet friends will pay for the privilege of improving the game just for me. I look forward to torrenting my copy in the future. I grew up in the era where it would take a year or more just for the game to get released outside Japan, never mind ports. A little wait is nothing for me.
Persona 6 teaser logo on Playstation conference. Trust the plan.
WHERE WE PLAY ONE WE PLAY ALL
-P
Can't wait for the salty tears from this board after P6 is announced as a PS5 exclusive lmao
Why would there be salty tears, I was expecting this to be the case, and that other game, Project Re fantasy, undoubtedly Playstation exclusive, my guess is PS5 only at this point too, by this point in the PS4's lifetime P5 would be what like 4 months away, we haven't even gotten a full trailer for Re Fantasy.
>Why would there be salty tears
Most of Ganker has deluded themselves into thinking that Persona is a multiplat franchise now, when it was and always will belong to Playstation.
Persona 6 will be about social media or whatever, and an evil god will use it to spread “misinformation” in order to take over the world and whatnot.
>persoina
>rumor
>eceleb
>twatter screencap
>garden gnometube link
have a nice day.
Nate is a credible leaker.
Persona has always launched exclusively on Playstation.
Prepare to cope and seethe.
I don't care about your gay ecelebs and faggy p2 rumor larps. i'm not watching your video, and I'm not trying to see screencaps for twitter.
Then what has he leaked accurately?
nothing more believable then a twitter screencap
>Nate the Hate
literally who
Why are PS time exclusives fine but Ms making CoD exclusive isn't?
>Skipping PS4
I mean. Id fucking hope so. what an embarrassment
