The irony is that they do, but they all require a different combat approach. Some bosses get a lot easier if you mainly shield, others get a lot easier if you focus on staggering it, other get easier if you use certain spells, etc. But combat tactics don't count so he didn't even consider them.

The only game he was wrong about was Sekiro, and that's because he (understandably) tried to approach it from a souls perspective instead of the action game that it is. I mean he's also a massive kamiya fan but I try not to hold people's mental illnesses against them.
