nagger, Nintendo takes down any video of people talking about Nintendo games and sues every game tournament using one of their games. They hate their customers probably more than EA does.

Funny how snoys will seek any opportunity to antagonize Nintendo like snoy and steam themselves doesn't do the same thing. As far as the metric goes, Nintendo is consistently the most pro-consumer of major companies and it shows.

valve encouraged their fans to make source mods to the point that it created a mini-golden age of PC gaming. nintendo did the literal opposite and viciously attacks any fan game they can find and will DMCA streams for doing so much as modding their games

        >Nintendo is consistently the most pro-consumer of major companies and it shows.
Yeah, Nintendo is so pro-consumer that it blocks player-made levels in Mario Maker 2 unless you put $20 into a game that already costs $60.
The company that charges you to use your own Internet to play p2p with another player, totally pro-consumer charges to give you permission to use your own stuff.
The company that will ban your console if it identifies any modification not approved by the corporation, is completely pro-consumer controlling the use they make of the hardware theu purchased.
Nintendo that sends DMCAs to passionate children creating their amateur games inspired by their heroes, super pro-consumer, threatens future talents with teams of lawyers.
Nintendo that charges $60 for Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze when it is a port of a game from the previous console that cost $50 10 years ago, super pro-consumer raising prices of old games to maintain a false idea of a luxury product.

i fucking wanted master mode, they obviously didnt add it in base game just to save it for dlc and now we're never gonna get it, god fucking damnit, i hate nintendo.

They just don't care about difficulty modes, they were never going to do dlc, they only added master mode into botw in the first place because they were charging for dlc. Without it, the mode would have never been made.

it would've made a lot of sense in tears of the kingdom with all of the things you can do, master mode would've been unironically fun this time, everything dies too fast to experiment on in the base game.

Former. It would have been better if it was the later, but pretty much right after linking, they were taken down. Showing that Nintendo fans basically self reported and NoA's PR team simply asked for the purposes of finding youtube vids to take down.

i like stuff from the botw dlc. master mode was good tots was fun challenge and monk maz kashia was one of the better boss fights in the series. but it really should have been just 1 dlc pack not 2.

I kind of wanted DLC for it though. Not sure what they would add, but I got burned out about 75% of the way through TotK and never finished it as a result. DLC would give me an excuse to go back to it with the new stuff and the parts of the map I haven't been to yet, but right now I still don't feel like it.

Also, you post this one game, but Nintendo also sells you roms of old games, amiibos etc. Skyward Sword for the Switch has a fast travel function locked behind a paid DLC.

It's funny, because literally NOTHING in that picture is actually in the game itself (Not even ascend, you can't do it up to sky islands in the final game)and should have been added as an update or DLC

It's funny that you consider both to be the same thing, which says a lot about the game.
Nobody does that with, I don't know, Dark Souls 2/Dark Souls 3, or Ocarina/Majora, or Doom 2016/Eternal, but TOTK is so lazy as a sequel that people unconsciously consider it and its predecessor as one single thing.

They sure do care when they release half their games in an unfinished state, adding content in free updates a year after release, still amounting to far less content than previous entries or competing franchises. Or just straight up being overpriced at launch and never getting more content.
See: ACNH, switch sports, mario maker 2 (clearly had way more content planned), the new mario soccer, hell every fucking mario sports game on switch, and plenty more

Yes, this strategy is quite petty and they've used it in practically every game that isn't AAA. I think the idea is: "let's make 50% of the game, if it sells more than expected, we'll make another 25% and eventually sell DLCs to monetize it.
Games like Mario Golf Super Rush (made by Camelot) suffered a lot from this strategy, as it "only" sold about 3 million copies, the game was quickly considered finished even though it is still today one of the most empty and lazy things that has ever carried the Mario and Nintendo brand.

Probably no one at Nintendo has the mental health to keep working on the same game anymore. TOTK is basically a remake of BOTW, so... 12 years of working on the same shit.
What's more, TOTK depletes all the milk that that dairy cow still had to offer, and any honest person who isn't autistic or an incurable fanboy felt pretty burnt out after the experience, which is pretty exhausting since it doubles down on a lot of things from BOTW that were already saturated. They didn't do much to fix the problems, they added more grind, more repetition, and a central mechanic that is basically: "build some flying garbage so you don't have to re-engage with the world of BOTW again".
You can't get anything else out of this game and I hope Nintendo has realized that (which the lack of DLC seems to indicate is the case).

I'm kind of glad honestly. I wanted to be physical-only with my Switch games, since I travel a lot and don't always have Wi-Fi, so everytime a game forces me to download shit to get the full experience it pisses me off. Put everything on the game cart you israeli fucks.

In fact, TOTK has most of the BOTW DLCs pre-installed, since the game is BOTW 1.2.
It's interesting however that they completely removed the "master quest", that shit was so unbalanced and poorly designed that it was considered unworthy even for TOTK, which is probably one of the AAA games with the worst design philosophy I've ever seen.
A motorcycle equivalent was probably removed to not make it clear how terrible the vehicles you build are, as the motorcycle is fast and fun to drive, while your TOTK vehicles are all slow and horrible.
