>No modern equivalent from 8bitdo or any other company
I just want a good controller for racing games, using a wheel feels like work.

Namco soul can't be replicated.
Maybe because of patents but I don't see how putting a potentiometer in the middle of your controller otherwise counts as "soul that can't be replicated".
Same reason why Namco GunCons were better than most lightguns out there, even modern ones like Sinden shit.
some magical soul? that just can not be replicated? those master wizards at namco sure were something else.
>those master wizards at namco sure were something else.
yes
would be pretty funny to see someone get carjacked in one of those. Then the robber jumps in and pretends to drive off in the game on the screen
Unironically, absolutely, positively yes.
Holy SOVL
>even modern ones like Sinden shit.
The new=good zoomie mind virus
no way those patents would still be active.
Sucks your mommy won't buy old toys for you I guess
Why are you making your mother buy you gay shit?
>she can't afford to. she spends all her money on my special needs shit.
i just took the steering wheel off my grandmas car a few days ago and attached it to my controller. It works really well. Helps with the realism. I was going to tell grandma how good it was but she was in a car accident this morning for some reason and is in hospital on life support, so I guess i'll tell her some other time, i think she'll find it amusing
Well, that just happened.
When I was a kid I had that controller on the right. I would control it by putting my mouth around the entire wheel part and twisting my head
Buy a wheel and a Playseat folding chair. You'll get that arcade experience while also being able to store it away in the corner of a room. It actually is kind of a pain if you have to mount and unmount it from your desk every time you want to play. Keeping it all together on a folding rig is easier. You just need to plug in the one USB.
I have a big problem with modern third party controllers in general. You'd think there would be an obvious market for making like "the ultimate retro controller" and that it'd be extremely easy since it's basically ancient technology at this point, but all we get is flimsy shit that falls apart three times as fast as the ones in the 90s did
I understand, it's cheaper to produce cheap shit, but there's not one fucking company at all who figures they'd sell a lot by making a good gamepad for the retro nerd market?
The first party companies making those controllers in the 90s absolutely eclipse those repro companies now in terms of operations.
Thrustmaster has a modern Forza controller for you. The controllers are super niche and basically vanished after analog controls became standard, so you just might need to got to a full wheel.
Oh yeah I knew of that one, but
>$150
fuck that
