>no one can afford it
Nah, it's just wildly over-priced. Not that that usually stops people (iphones etc). You also have to have potentially thousands of dollars of other equipment to complement it. Then there's reasons to own it; of which there are few.
It's a push to make high end gpus a fashion thing and normalise high prices. You must own this or people will think you are shit. Like apple owners do. Zoomers consoomers are fricked in the head sucking corporate wiener. Just because you have money does not mean you have to buy the new shit every time. Just because you have money does not mean you must be constantly spending it.
Nope, if graphics cards become an autist luxury item while every sane person just has a 3000x card, the responsibility will lie on developers to make their games work if they want to make money
>It's a push to make high end gpus a fashion thing and normalise high prices.
People are posting they have something because they enjoy it. The push you mainly see is from all the jealous little c**ts who try and cause missery on these people by posting cope excuses.
Check out every single thread where a 4090 is mentioned. 2-3 people own one and are just posting nice posts, the rest of the comments are bitter twats showing how much of a despicable human they are.
It's affordable in the sense that I could buy it without compromising my ability to pay bills and such.
It's unaffordable in the sense that it's a very poor value proposition unless you have professional CUDA workloads in mind.
The gaming perf is vast overkill, it's so big and heavy that you need to use a cuck stick to avoid breaking your pcie slot, and the power adapter is a literal fire hazard.
I could but I'm trying to get out of PC gaming and migrate to console. its just getting to expensive and will only get more later on. Gonna die on my 3080.
I have a 3060ti and I think for the first time my next upgrade will just be in the same series, a 3080 or 3090. I just want better frames for my 1440p monitor
the market better correct itself for the next generation or no one is going to buy. they're getting ridiculously big and power hungry now
>buying first iteration of a new gpu line
Only absolute fricking morons do this. Your streamer "friends" got one because it was a free sponsorship, and they will get the gtx plus ultra version too whenever available, still for free.
It's genuinely amusing that they release this expensive 600W heap of shit and intel goes on another "lets just use all the power we can" arc going in to the biggest energy crisis the world has seen in decades.
I could buy one right now I just don't want to. The 4090 is a stupid card
I could easily run it off my current pc with a 1kw but I'm not going anywhere near that new connector no fricking way
why do you keep making the same thread over and over and over again?
I dont want to pay for fire insurance
I got 2 of them and I am living in fricking Poland. I heard that you Westerners are supposed to be rich, kek
Cleaner wages on the up and up nowadays eh? Cool.
Good luck fitting 2 in one room.

>afford
homie those things are melting
No one sane is willing to buy it*
I can, but why should I buy it? I know that the same thing will be affordable for half and with way less power usage in 1-2 years anyway.
why does someone making a thread claiming you can't afford something upset you?

newer games are so unoptimized that you NEED the newest card to play anything.

geforce now is unironically a good ideal
i'm not paying $1000 for a gpu and i'm not paying $200 for a 10 year old gpu either

Literally every one of you c**ts keep calling everyone poor. Why are you Nvidia shills such losers.

Nobody needs it.

I can afford it.
Got a 3090 so having a hard time justifying a new purchase though.
Just get the 4080 or wait for AMD's new gpus coming out.
It's genuinely amusing that they release this expensive 600W heap of shit and intel goes on another "lets just use all the power we can" arc going in to the biggest energy crisis the world has seen in decades.
I can afford it but it would be stupid to buy it.

Frick these literal israelites for jacking the price.
No one can afford these either
