Don't get me wrong, I played them a lot, but I always drop them
when? depends, I've tried replaying both bw1 and bw2 like 4 times each, the furthest I got in bw1 was the ice area with the martial arts guy, and in bw2 I dropped it before Drayden
any idea why? that IS pretty far into the game, I just get bored and give up, idk, I like the region, the aesthetic, and most of all the pokemon, but it just gets boring, maybe its the amount of dialogue, I get tired the moment I remember all the team plasma cutscenes and the pokestar movie thing
yes I tried the Drayano hacks
You are a gay, the pokemon are the best part about gen 5, complain about the 9999999 lines of text like a real man
It has an intrusive dogshit story and the ugliest designs in the series. Gen 5 is awful.
The designs are kino, you can not tell me its worse than gen 8
>this thing is worse so that makes this other bad thing good
Why does this board always do this?
gen 5 is worse than 8, the only gen that is somehow worse than 5 is gen 7
I like Unova just fine, but man. Those are some ugly games with an ugly color palette.
they r the best looking games in the whole franchise
How? I like Gen 5 but the warping pixels are so ugly
its soul
I know how you feel OP, I remember playing BW2 for the first time and either giving up on it for a while, or WANTING to give up on it right before Drayden and then something clicked and I got really into it, and now it's my favorite Pokemon game out of all of them.
I can't explain it either, something about the later half of the game kind of drags a little bit, but by the time the climax of the story hits, it gets amazing.
there's a really big level jump from skyla to drayden, which is stupid because levels plateau for the rest of the game. that's probably it.
Probably that yes, I wanna finish them, but just thinking about all the fucking dialogue I have to skip again........ it makes me so tired I already fucking know about N's story and all the plasma baby lore!!
I experience this exact thing with dark souls 3 and I've never heard anyone else describe it until now. Like, I'll be playing through it with another character and be enjoying it, but then I'll stop playing for the day and never pick it back up again on the same play through.
The furthest I've gotten is to the ringed city, and I've thought of going back to complete it, but just never had enough desire too.
It's weird and I have no explanation for it either
That’s not uncommon for From players. A big part of the fun in to make a build and that far into the game your build is pretty much complete.
I have the reverse experience, really. I think that start is bad to middling (In BW) because it's just kind of a slog with very minimal Pokemon variety.
It gets better after the 3rd Gym.
I haven't gotten around to replaying bw2 yet, but it should at least address the variety issue.
Dunno if this is applicable to you but I've noticed a significant number of my peers can't seem to finish a singleplayer game to save their life.
They get 6 hours in, the honeymoon period wears off, then they go back to whatever multiplayer battle pass hamster wheel game they were playing with their friends. Now I know those types of games are psychologically designed to keep people playing but it's almost as if these players can't stick with anything that doesn't have a social element.
Who knows, but anyway the only Pokemon games I couldn't at the least force myself to finish was BDSP and SV. I actually replayed BW2 recently after inattentively beating it once on release. Fucking loved it, didn't realize how great it was overall.
doesn't apply to me, my computer can't run any popular multiplayer games
I loved SV and beat BDSP both on release date (despite having beat Diamond already)
Funny, because for me these are the games I replayed the most. And I was still suprised how Iwas fiding new stuff in my 3rd playhrough.
The cutscenes dont bother me as they are WAY better directed than 3d ones.

Bump yourself off a tall building and give your family some happiness.
why are you mad at my thread bro I like gen 5 I just want someone to make a romhack that lets you skip dialogue
>bumpgay is an illiterate ESL
kek
i just don't put much effort in replying to autistic people
Then why is your op so stupid too?
i don't have respect for the english language, happy 9/11 brother
>moving the goalposts this hard
Its okay to admit you're just a retarded monkey.
Personal issue. There are boring parts in every Pokémon game. I don't know your psychology so I don't know why that part specifically makes you quit. Just power through the boredom and maybe up the difficulty by rotating your party.
Usually when I play a pokemon there's like, a motivational hump that I have to get over, too. And for me it's usually when I have the team I want and they're all fully evolved and they all have moves that I like on them (ao usually around the 5th or 6th badge) and that point I have to kinda lose motivation to keep going. But if I push through that hump, the motivation comes naturally again and I finish it out. Maybe it's the same thing for you?
bumping
BW was the only one I didn't feel like replaying after getting bored on my way to Castelia city.
