Almost all new characters are good for the setting.
Do you guys think the roster will ever reach the size of endgame 4 and 5?
Yes, they expect SF6 to be around for 10 years, it will be around the same roster size in 2026, we will get probably 7 characters till the end of 2024 then they will announce the "Ultimate edition" with 8 returning characters + DLC pack 3.
lfuckingmao they had TWO YEARS to go "maybe we fucked up somewhere" with Kimberly and whatever T.Hawk's sister's name is, I can't believe they actually have the balls to release the game with so much of the roster looking this bad
absolutely nothing in 4 or 5 looked anywhere near as bad on a technical level, like it's obvious what they were SUPPOSED to look like when you see the 2D concept art, but the transition to 3D looks like they just rushed it or had someone purposefully sabotaging it
then go play a MUD or something, this is a board for VIDEO games where you are supposed to at least nominally give a shit about what you are looking at
>gameplay consists of looking at the same 20+ characters doing the same moves over and over again for 2000+ hours over the course of 8 years on the same 10+ stages (but let's be honest, mostly Training Stage) that are only seen from one camera angle for 99% of a match >w-why do you care about the artstyle or the visual presentation?

because i still play masterpieces made in the early 90's with fucking 20x20 pixel sprites
graphics morons do you really?
I loved the beta, I physically can't wait for full release. Managed to hit Diamond with Jamie which was nice.
The netcode and entire online experience was fantastic, I love the battle hub, I love the gameplay, it's stupidly good. It's also refreshing having a fighting game release that feels more challenging than the previous game rather than being dumbed down. The corner in 5 is scary but it's downright lethal in 6, the mental stack is much higher, hit-confirms are much more important, pressure is a lot less brain dead and a lot more nuanced. I think universal health is a meh idea and quick-rise/backroll being equal in framedata is gonna hurt the game at full release and I hope that's changed, but I can't wait for full release nonetheless.
I hope so but I wouldn't mind if it didn't as long as most of the dlc are newcomers. 6 newcomers blow 4 and 5 ones out of the water, I only liked a few 5 ones and they were DLC, namely Menat and G.
They should just pull a Smash Ultimate and bring everyone back but it'll never happen because the devs aren't as passionate as Sakurai is about fighting games.
>more seasons and support than V did
eh I'm not sure, V only got more cause of delays. Even SF4 only got Ultra cause SFxT flopped. Even when SF6 does really well as it seems geared up to I think they'll move on earlier unless they have some big delay again.
This is because fucking gay ass story mode and all that stuff has to be put into peoples avatar creation and that other garbage. This will slows down development of characters pretty hard so its not that hard to believe this statement.
That probably shouldn't be interpreted as "we only make one new character every 2 years", obviously they're going to be having more than one character baking in the oven during this time.
It took 2 years to create a character on top of developing the whole game around them as well as other characters. When it comes to DLC, the main focus will be the DLC character so it will take much less time.
I'm a tekken player and I have to concede and say this is going to be a good one. The lobby system is the best thing I've experienced in a video game without having to pay a subscription service for MMORPGBBQOJANSODBOJ that all fat virgin nerds play.
Since we're in the early days still, DI hasn't been fully figured out by most players, though I can see it becoming less of a problem with time. Drive rush will always be OP, that I can't deny
DI counters aren't hard to figure out, parry or use your own DI
The problem is the threat of DI shutting down slower pokes and making the game all about them lights
>The problem is the threat of DI shutting down slower pokes
Its 26 frames so you aren't doing it on reaction to even a slow poke. Like a lot of DI uses it is a catch all way to beat very predictable play styles. If they got that read they could've blown it up some other way.
The problem is non cancellable slow pokes, if you're too close you will fucking eat that di. The problem with this game is how small the cancel windows for normals are anyways.
I enjoyed it a lot. Unfortunately I can't go back to playing fighterz now. The game made me realize how much I missed Street Fighter neutral, and I keep trying to dragon rush with the sf6 grab. Besides Jamie is fun as hell.
What 8 want to know is is there decent character creator that I can make shermie and have a good single player campaign? If so I might buy this game....when its 40 bucks or lower.
Paying 70 for any game is a scam in my opinion no matter how good.
it's 44 dollars on cdkeys, one of the few not scam key sites
I've mostly seen monstrosities out of the character creator but there's some waifu fags making "cute" girls
why are people unironically excited for this
I'd love a new fighting game to play everything has been so fucking shit lately. But this is your saving grace? really? this shit is absurdly dull and reeks of SFV's (we made everything feel exactly the same as the other characters!) also these games need to get away from this stupid long combos, theyre not adding anything interesting to the game other than WOW LOOKS COOL DOODS
hard hard pass, yet still miles ahead of strive so i guess that counts for something.
Hated it. My biggest issue with the game is that modern controls encourage mashing when street fighter is about spacing. I played a bunch of games with randoms and among my friends who typically play anime fighters and I was winning sets with guile by just air throwing. I didn't even need to use any booms- new players don't know that special moves are unsafe, that if your sweep gets blocked you eat the other guy's sweep, etc. It's not fun for me to play because I'm not having fun stomping new players, and new players aren't having fun because after a cr.mk fireball they don't understand why they're not in range to retaliate with any normals. Someone I played with complained about chun li having short range normals because after a blockstring they were out of range to execute their own without walking forward.
Also I am not paying full price for half the roster. I bought sfv on launch and waited for new characters to be added over the course of half a decade, and then once the roster is finished they just move onto the next one.
i don't know. i'm worried Street Fighter 6 is shaping up to be worse than V. at least V knew it was a fighting game, 6 is trying to be half single player Zoomer Shenmue with Modern Controls and half traditional fighting game with Classic Controls at the cost of 1/3rd of their DLC per Season and a level playing field for all competitors. they've spread themselves too thin for their budget and it shows all over the place. the artstyle and visual presentation, the visual fidelity of the characters, and the content offered in the Shenmue Mode are all below par for Capcom's flagship fighting game. shit is breaking my heart as an 09'er and relatively long time fan.
hey now, i said relatively long time fan. i know i wasn't early to fighting games, i wasn't playing Alpha 3 at an arcade downtown in 2003. i know where i'm at. lol
Something about the way SF6 is animated looks worse than any of their previous forays into 3D. It almost doesn't even look or animate like a Capcom fighting game. It's like they outsourced the mocap and the animation work to another team or something. I don't like it. Even if modders fix the lighting and the character models, we're stuck with these animations.
the quality of the gameplay is shit, so i really could give a fuck.
if the game was actually good i would literally mod the animations myself because im an animator.

It's baffling how they managed to build the most terrible combination of elements imaginable
I had a lot of fun with the beta. I'll be playing and watching this game for a while. I know it's fashionable to hate on everything here on Ganker, but SF6 is actually pretty good. Drives are giving me a hard time but I think it'll just take some getting used to like focuses in 4. It's WAY better than 5. For some reason, even when I'm getting bodied, I'm having fun.
> It's WAY better than 5
cap
its the same shit the only difference is they moved the v-trigger nonsense to the start of the round instead of the end of the round.
literally this game is going to majorly center around abusing DR to get meaty / shimmy hitconfirms / grabs.
the game has been solved and its not even out yet.
Disagree. Dtive is gonna be countered and it will simply be another mechanic to keep in mind. DR is basically just a way to close distance. And like any other technique that we've been dealing with for the last 30 years, if you get predictable, you'll get punished very hard. If anything, it's a good thing the scrubs will abuse the hell out of it.

DR doesn't really change anything. It does kinda makes the game a little more unilateral since everyone now has an option to get in at high speeds, but at the same time, it's easily countable. And the oki you're so afraid of is also easily dealt with too. And plus there are no 70% combos without heavy resource spending. If you wanna blow your whole bar on one combo then well, thats you're style. You'll be in burnout afterward. That's been a decision you could make in any fighting game

>DR doesn't really change anything
i knock you down with a move that allows you to quick rise
before you quick rise i DR right ontop of you and now force you into a guessing situation, if i throw you , you are now back in the same guessing situation, if i hit you you are now losing half of your life and put in another guessing situation
the game wants you to quick rise, to play neutral. DR says FUCK THAT WE NEED TO PLAY SFV AGAIN.
it has nothing to do with DR in neutral against an opponent in neutral which yeah its kinda strong there but thats not the point. the point it is it litearlly wins the match for you because you skip neutral completely off innocuous hits into extremely volatile situations.

What? Let me spell out your argument
The game is poorly designed because after a knockdown in neutral the advantaged player can spend meter (important resource that gives you access to ex moves and cripples you if you don't have it) to get strong oki and mixups. In guilty gear you get oki off a knockdown for free so I imagine that's like the worst game ever in your opinion
2 weeks ago
Anonymous
the game is designed to focus around neutral
most wakeups, block push back distance will reset the game back to neutral.
when i get a hit off some move that knocks you down you can quick rise from that move
meaning the developers intention is for that move not to have any follow up of any kind.(there are shit tons of moves that have this sort of property and distance-resetting outside of the corner) so now i have drive meter (who gives a fuck the resource is there to be spammed) instead of playing neutral with you some more, i say you know what? fuck all that. i wanna flip coins. i drive rush ontop of you as you are getting up and now you are forced into a guessing situation, which judging by the block push back distance and relatively quick rising nature of the game goes against what the developers are intending here. they want us to play neutral they have two opposing design philosophies here. now are there moves that give you pressure option without using meter? yes of course but those moves have their inherent risks and properties. when i hit you with some random shit that is intended to put us in neutral to go ahead and skip neutral and just continue to play a guessing game that is not SF, that to me just sounds like more SFV throw loop low block distance nonsense.
so yeah if you wanna waste your time with this dogshit anime fighter go ahead. I actually want to play a game with decent neutral gay.

>After you land a combo you can spend resource to continue pressure
It's really not that bad if you aren't freaking out about it. And it's hardly a 50/50 guessing game you can react to strike/throw pretty reliably in this game especially if you're reading your opponent. Why's it bad game design to have advantage after landing a combo?

Dipshit, DR and DI change everything
The former is both a resource gate on oki and damage and mixups and a way to instantly confirm lights into a combo or mixup
The latter blows up heavy and medium pokes and frame traps with very little risk to the degree that good players rarely use it but always play around it.
These two mechanics change EVERYTHING you fucking scrub
It was mostly good. I liked the extreme battle with the bull, the spiffy clothing options, and especially the AI. I think it's almost worth the money for the AI. I think it only needs a tapout/concede button. If I think I figured somebody out but they figured me out more or they were holding back and I barely get a kick in to stop a perfect, I would rather keep the match to one round so I can quickly find a more even match.
It's really fun
I just hate the ESG pandering shit
Almost all newcomers look like shit(Kim in particular), the gay moron from outer space in the lobby, Cammy with pants as the default outfit no matter how you look at it is a victory for the muh male gaze crowd
Soundtrack is really cookie cutter shit that sounds like it was made by a random guy they picked off sound cloud, Zangief and Ryu are the only ones that have a theme song that's memorable. It's like they really didn't want anyone to make something out of the ordinary.
Capcom may have had its renaissance but that Japanese charm from the PS2 era never came back. Only game I really got that from them recently is Rise and Sunbreak and that'll probably be the last of it. I'm still gonna buy and play SF6, but everything I mentioned is really lame. I kinda don't want Makoto to come back because I just know they'll ruin her design somehow.

Yeah, it was good, not perfect but in another league compared to the SF5 beta. Most people who don't like it come across as pedantic autists who will watch 100x more matches than they will ever play or people who would never have bought it anyway because it has blacks in it.
I actually had fun with a fighting game. i guess capcom won this time. little shit like kimberly's theme staying between rounds. and chuns thighs. also the impact of hits feels good. i have no intentions of getting competitive, but its pretty fun
Same here. It’s the first street fighter game where I’ll be avoiding ranked matches. Hopefully a lot of people will just use the battle hub arcade machines.
It's fun, but the "immersion" value Capcom was going with was somewhat of a miss.
Everyone huddling up around an arcade looks dumb since avatars are just clipping on top of each other.
No one gives a fuck about the DJ booth and extreme battles aren't really being used much because people rather play ranked over party modes.
I'm just glad they don't force arcade booths on players in ranked, that shit irreversibly ruined Strive in countless of ways.
Avatar battles will most likely change that, but we'll have to see.
>extreme battles aren't really being used much because people rather play ranked over party modes.
to be fair its a time limited beta and they added the most boring extreme battle out of the bunch to the beta instead of the actually fun bull run that was in the demo
I don't know, I had a lot of fun with the electric one. It strangely enough forces a chaotic fight even if you and your opponent are fighting seriously.
>extreme battles aren't really being used much because people rather play ranked over party modes.
I think that's a shame because they're fun. I think they can be decent tools to practice mixing up your gameplay or taking fights at a new angle like the Simon Says stuff.
From a mechanical perspective, purely based on gameplay, is this a fighting game that rewards scrub plays, or well though out skilled players?
Everyone said SFV was a srubs game, how is this any different?
its another scrub game. skip neutral, easy mode combos, jump in attacks have huge window.
modern controls doing optimal hit confirm combos for you. the list goes on and on.
>purely based on gameplay, is this a fighting game that rewards scrub plays,
Scrubs are gonna get destroyed in this game. They'll spam DI and get countered by players who know what they're doing.
1. Juri's snide remarks
2. AI
3. Art. Looking forward to the colosseum stage.
4. Modern controls make classic characters interesting again.
I wish I spent more time on modern controls. I was surprised how much time I spent on the game with the regular PS5 controller. Maybe modern controls would have made it to number 2.
It's vicious, unrelenting offense. It seems to not only want to beat me but beat me in the most optimized way possible. It's like a track in Gran Turismo. If I fuckup even once, the course doesn't slightly alter itself so I'm not too disappointed.
>Deejay >Classic
I do like his design a lot and Vega isn't in this game (I sometimes wonder if he was in fucking 5 after what they did to him) so maybe
I hate how they've either turned charge characters motion or changed half their moves to be motion to justify them having a modern control scheme. There probably won't even be a single charge character dlc for years.
>22 character roster leaks, fans get hyped because this means a 6 character Season Pass would bring the cast up to 28 by the end of Season 1 and blow the disappointing launch of SFV outta the fucking water >Capcom acknowledge the leak on Twitter but say nothing about DLC >later reveal that only 18 of the 22 characters shown are actually in at release, the other 4 are the entire first $24.99 Season Pass (Rashid, AKI, Ed, and Akuma) >if we get 5 Season Passes, we'll only be getting 16 more characters after the 22 leaked fighters >if 4 more of those are newcomers like AKI, we'll only see 11 more returning characters from previous SF games >it will be over a year post launch before a character is revealed and added that we haven't already seen >on top of all that, Street Fighter 6 somehow manages to be the ugliest the series has ever looked in 3D
>20% less damage >hit enemy with a random crmk that is too far for my normal hit confirm >modern controls takes over and completes the combo using another hit confirm special
>hit enemy with a random crmk that is actually a punish counter >modern controls takes over and performs an optimal punish counter combo.
okay react to punish counter crmk at max distance in neutral when you're fishing for whiff punish. NOT IN TRAINING MODE
go ahead ill give you 30 years.
unless you're a fucking squirrel or you have your counter hit set up primed, youre not out-reacting a CPU that is going to automatically optimize your combo with EX wall bounce. fuck off retard.
Depends on your input method of choice. Double qcfs are way harder on stick than DPs for example. I actually find it easier to input continuous motions like 360s or 720s than doing double qcfs
Eh I experienced the opposite, DP motions always felt inconsistent to me even if i'm feeling like i'm doing the exact some motion that always worked.
Meanwhile Double QCF I can do almost effortlessly, even in games with tight timing like Street Fighter.
I think the difference is the DP input you 'have' to be percise while Double QCFs you can mash, sometimes even on accident.
i tried all of my modern luke grime that i cooked up in the modded beta and i decided modern wasn't so great after all. you really can catch people out with 1 button super whiff punishes, ex dp, and bail yourself out of tick di setups when you're burnt out all day, but my neutral caved against half of the cast without standing MK. once you start running into people who know how to walk forward and block and have the patience to play for pixels of distance to the corner and seconds on the clock instead of making big moves, you'll find modern fizzles out. im hoping modern zangief is ridiculous so I can continue to meme it but im playing classic
i was getting the value out of modern, that part doesn't require much competence. you need to get in plat and diamond matches with luke's standing mp and see what you can do
>but my neutral caved against half of the cast without standing MK
I'm wondering if this is how everyone will be balanced. It seemed to be the case with everyone I tried. Someone could still turn out okay if what they lose isn't that important and we've seen changes on what they get through different builds. With how modern fighters are though there seems to be more effort in giving everything some purpose. In general instant reactions are nice but not every play style is weak to reactive play. The risk with easy specials was always skipping limitations but they've largely seemed to work that in.
>im hoping modern zangief is ridiculous
I thought he might be. But I've just bought a hitbox, and as someone who never plays 360 characters I can do them in an instant without concentrating. This shit really is more of a cheat than modern ever could be.
>nooooo why do you enjoy things youre not supposed to find joy in this life >you MUST be bitter and cynical, its the only trie path >STOP BEING HAPPY >BE JADED AND ANGRY AT ALL TIMES GOD DAMN IT YOU FUCKING NPC SHILL I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU

>like what the fuck are they thinking
Thinking they need a game that's actually accessible so it sells. There's no profit pandering to fundamentals autists. There's negative money when you end up giving double your sales money back to people winning tournaments in fursuits.
it's like there was a complete breakdown of communication somewhere between the art team at Capcom and the modeling/rendering team for SF6. the artwork is all super anime and looks fine, but the in-game models look fucking awful. i don't get it.
there is absolutely no way the 2d designs could look good in 3d, with the exception of juri who is proof that they bungled the 3d for all of the characters. there's no use polishing the turds that are kim, the announcer character whose cinematic i skipped, manon, or lily.
i am mostly frustrated with cammy's facial geometry and the grotesque body horrors that are chun and manon in this game. they need to bring back the wide and shallow asian-type faces for white characters in capcom art design and i aint cappin
I played 30 hours of the beta and chun's chicken wing thighs going into her tiny feet looked grotesque to me even in motion. Bring back chun's boots and chiseled legs.
I hate to admit it but I actually lowkey love the Fortnite inspired aesthetic that they're going for. It's heaps encouraging to see SF adapting with the times unlike some other fighters.
i would agree except luke doing fortnite dances is 1% of the game's new aesthetic and the rest is intentionally ugly characters, purple, and really bad bgm. I feel like I got monkey pawed because I enjoy sf6 more than every other sf game in the entire franchise and like the media assets the least. fun game, too bad it's ugly as hell by design
capcom got meme'd hard by FGC morons into wasting money on single player content that could have gone towards making the game better looking

On one hand I want to get the game, on the other hand Modern Controls deeply concern me. I think I'll wait till the first big tourney and see how far modern controls players make it before deciding whether to buy. Modern controls should just be something you use when you're new to the game and wanna play casually, but it actually gives you some big advantages that make it worth considering over classic...
I think it's safe to say Smash Bros. would never have been popular if it required a $200 controller to consistently execute special attacks. Trying to compete on a high level with the standard Playstation or Xbox controllers was basically suicide. I think the beta proved modern controls finally made Street Fighter more accessible to a wider audience. It probably won't pick up any Tekken or KoF players because those are full time jobs like CoD, but it should pick up a good amount of Smash and MK players.
>S1: Ed, Rashid, Akuma, AKI >S2: Return, Return, Sakura, Newcomer >S3: Return, Return, Return, Newcomer >S4: Return, Return, Evil Ryu, Newcomer >S5: Return, Return, Return, Newcomer >only 10 slots left for returning characters before the game becomes more expensive than SFV
4 character seasons were a mistake
I'm annoyed that Maximillian and others that have been playing various iterations of SF6 for a year were not able to put into words how the game feels. Here's how you explain SF6 to someone -
>most expanded character moveset of any SF game >features a drive gauge bar that really should be called the "crazy shit" bar because it puts a cap on how much crazy shit you are allowed to do per round
Those two things together make the matches intense and strategic.
>most expanded character moveset of any SF game
everything is unsafe again (even more this time) >features a drive gauge bar that really should be called the "crazy shit" bar because it puts a cap on how much crazy shit you are allowed to do per round >everyone has V trigger when you start the round >Those two things together make the matches intense and strategic. >Those two things together make the game literally SFV part 2.
do random shit to force an immediate response or receive big reward for unga bunga. People are going to get tired of this shit in 6 months if they don't rebalance drive impact and burn out state. It's fucking retarded how far the pushback is.
Blocking is the worst thing you can do in street fighter now, they've turned the game into gotta do CUHRAZY anime shit or lose
>unsure of what to do next during a match? just hit the Party Impact button to get back in that ass right away! >mid screen? half screen? 3/4 screen? who fucking cares? your Party Impact can always get another party started!
How are they "forcing rps" it's identical to doing a retard jump in round start and getting anti aird, or a blocked ex dp, big dumb options that have big reward and big risk
drive moves are not that risky compared to a jump in also they move you forward basically skipping neutral. It's low risk/high reward for brainlets who are shit at FGs
>drive moves are not that risky compared to a jump in
Sure they are, it's a big obvious metered option that puts you in punish range, you can snuff it out easy and get a full combo and all your enemy accomplished was losing HP and meter.
>you're punished for not participating because of how weak blocking is vs drive impact/rush
Then just throw out a jab if they DR, grab if they DR, or fucking jump if they do either. I shouldn't even have to mention how starting the round off with a fucking DI is literally bronze tier shit.
my dude, the hubris. Even if you perfectly counter every single attempt at this, it's not fun when it's being forced on you

what the fuck do you want the match to be? the guy goes afk and you beat his ass?
Those.. Those are computers. Neither of those players are human. You can't possibly think that this is a good representation of whatever narrative you want to push.
i had matches in the beta that went just like this you obviously didn't play if you think people aren't trying to RPS their turn back with drive moves.
Have you never played a fighting game before? The braindead gimmicky shit is usually good for a little bit but people learn how to play after the game has been out for a month or two and that guy who was massively oppressive and everywhere just stops existing because everyone figured out the real problem.
Daigo's an old fucking man. What kind of an argument is this, the dude's not exactly a spring chicken and you're gonna use him as the basis of your argument?
strike/throw is and has been stronger in sf than anime. i want more than 1 frame of throw protection in sf specifically because i am an anime player and thought they had throws right with 3s
Drive rush doesn't make P2 in actionable lol, you can just snuff it out and if you don't then you just lost neutral to a metered option, why is it bad? How is it not street fighter? Is round start tiger knee not street fighter?
I've seen people consistently check DR in neutral same as they would check a dash.
SF6 plays on the mental stack harder than any other game. It's the whole design philosophy.
on the last day of the beta after watching better ken players i changed my DR use from cashing in fished c.mks to just randomly doing DR c.lk and DR jab and it was catching fucking everybody. DR really can delete neutral, but only if you arent greedy. DR lights is godlike
>Microtransaction system hasn’t been revealed >World Tour mode gets repetitive after an hour >Because of the prizepool, SF6 is going to become Job Fighter for content creators and pros alike >Netcode has forced variable delay >No Wi-Fi indicator >No method for filter players based on Control Type (ie Classic or Modern) >Regardless of your opinion of the artstyle, it's unanimously agreed upon that the game's lighting looks like ass MOST of the time
Blockstun is weird, wakeup timing is weird, inputs get eaten randomly, music is shit, the entirety of the drive bar is trash. 6/10 right now, hope they patch it up soon after release.
anons, you simply can't sell ad space to Redbull and Arby's to host ads/billboards all over the Battle Hub if you don't cook one up. just like you can't sell Cash Shop outfits for Lobby Avatars if there's no Create-a-Fighter system. we gotta diversify our monetization scheme. the full retail box price, the Season Passes, the physical re-releases like Arcade Edition, the Premium Character Costumes, and the Capcom Cup Premier Passes simply aren't enough methods of monetization. we're leaving money on the table.
speaking of, don't forget to sign up for a Capcom ID and link it to your Steam account. we already have some buyers lined up for your data and we need that.
yes, there's less margin for input error when you're strictly using buttons for directions instead of a controller d-pad/joystick. You can get the same effect playing on keyboard
Pros >Faster inputs for switching blocks, dashing etc. >Very deliberate inputs >Clean DPs >SOCD shortcuts for dirty DPs >SOCD flash kicks (SF6 says this not allowed in official tournaments) >Easy TKs because of SOCD jump (SF6 says this is not allowed in official tournaments)
Cons >Very deliberate inputs >Unintuitive unless you've played on keyboard >Clean halfcircles which are sometimes required are awkward when starting out >360/270 motions are awkward when starting out >Intensive on the hands until you get used to it.
The pros thing the pros outweigh the cons so they switch from stick. Some stayed. The ones playing on pad stick with pad.
It won't make you a better player overnight, play with what you're most comfortable with.
SF6 is trying to lessen the potential gap between sticks & hitboxes with the ruling change, though some thing that opened up an even worse can of worms.
Official CPT tournament means you have to follow the rules.
It's on the players to ask for a buttoncheck before the match to confirm the correct SOCD cleaning, should only take a few seconds.
>Official CPT tournament means you have to follow the rules
Oh come on you know that never stopped anyone ever. >It's on the players to ask for a buttoncheck before the match to confirm the correct SOCD cleaning
That will be even bigger can of worms with potential of people to use it maliciously "orgs his hitbox can totally do SOCD!"
>Calls over Bracket runner complaining about SOCD >Presses Down + UP >Scenario A: They jump. DQ or force him to switch modes >Scenario B: They stand up. Tell the other guy he's full of shit or worse yet DQ him.
Button checks are already part of the pre-fight ritual, adding a quick check for SOCD is not that bad.
If they're trying to maliciously flag you, then you have nothing to worry about because you know your setup is legal and once the bracket runner confirms it the other guy is fucked.
Can one of you fags explain throw loops to me.
Isn't this a thing in all games? Do different characters have different frames on their throws?
I swear in most games you can throw someone as oki.
throw loop is a legit problem in sf because the throw itself is unreactably fast (people react the situation where they can get thrown, not being thrown itself, in order to tech) and additionally there is very little throw protection (1f in sf6) so you can be caught meaty or in a frame disadv situation with a throw that can only be escaped with invincible reversals, wakeup backdash, or holding up. in other games, the throw itself can be teched on reaction (tekken) or there's throw protection that makes being meaty thown impossible (kof, anime games).
in a throw loop, there is no risk mitigating third or fourth option to hedge your bets with. you're just guessing.
happens in the corner usually, throw leads into oki which is going to be strike/throw most of the time but throws in SF are kinda busted. Games like guilty gear make you immune to throw basically on wakeup but sf only gives you enough protect to basically have to guess

how many frames does a move have to be to be considered a meaty?
in a strict (autistic) sense the word means that you'd wake up in at least the second active frame of the move. in the case of throws and throw loops, its a meaty throw if it hits you uninterruptably near your first wakeup frame, i.e in the first 4 frames you're able to move
easy way to set up drive impact training. Set the cpu to block while idle then set them to randomly block and DI on wakeup. also set them up to randomly block and DI out of blockstun. this way they will DI at random times during your blockstring. It's getting really easy for me to react to after a while of doing this. I've only missed it a few times out of like 50 so far.
>1 trick
Get the fuck out
But to answer your question fighting games are behind the times in usually requiring the have purchased the character in order to lab against them.
If you're planning on competing you will need to know your MUs and DLC advantage over not being able to lab against your character is real while in pools.
If you have any doubts about getting Street Fighter 6, then don't.
Not only are they charging you the same $24.99 price tag as SFV for 2 less DLC characters per Season, but Capcom REFUSES to explain how the monetization will work. Even Maximillian said that he asked them about costumes and stages, and they explicitly told him they weren't gonna say anything about it.
Refusing to say anything about this a month before launch is throwing a huge red flag. I'm concerned we're gonna get drowned in $10 costumes, $7.99 stages, and a shit ton of microtransactions for World Tour Mode and the Create-a-Fighter suite. Virtually no one is talking about this either, which makes it all the more worrying.
depends what the "updated balance and quality-of-life adjustments" will be.
For Drive Impact I think they need to increase the meter use so it's not thrown out so often.
>Better balance >Bettter optimization >More characters >Maybe a patch improving the ugly shit of the game
There is really no reason to not wait until the game is 10$
I think it'll be the most popular fighting game for a while until tekken and mk come out. after the first couple months it'll probably maintain around 5-8k players and then drop off over time till it steadies around 2-3k. I'm just estimating this based on how other fighting games usually go. long term tho mk will probably maintain the most players because they have the normie audience.

It will have more. Strive is 2 years old and it still maintains 2.5-3.5k every single day while having fucked up servers. Its Street Fighter without stink that SFV had. I think it will retain same numbers as Tekken 7 does so between 4 to 6.5k.
$105+tip for all characters as they release
yeah I can think of 95 reasons to wait lmao

There is something fucked up here. I think i can wait to see if the frst wave of retards get fucked in the ass by Capcom.
they built an entire waiting room for people to sit in between games with big screens constantly running an MP4 on a loop for a reason, and you can bet your ass it was to run more sponsorship deals.
>don't forget to show your Capcom Cup Pride by equipping the Capcom Cup Tour 2024 T-Shirt and wearing it around the Battle Hub for an hour each day! you can earn up to 500 Drive tickets per day!

Everything he said was correct.
String based games are more appealing at a low level because the characters are throwing out full strings as opposed to the same jab.
Another reason why MK is successful.
for someone that doesn't play fighting games, can someone explain what's different between this and sfv? saw there's a lobby where you sit down at an arcade machine with your avatar, that's pretty cool but not actual fighting gameplay.
care to explain then in layman terms what mechanics have changed? seems like what only changes are the graphics and the characters that get added. basically like LoL
>care to explain then in layman terms what mechanics have changed?
Anon... you're doing a thing where anon asks something, and throwing out jargon like FOOTISES, MEATIES, YOMI!!!!!!!! as if they know what the fuck you're talking about.
Don't do that, it kills your genre (more than it already is).
okay, thank you for actually answering my question instead of like the other anon. the game does look really cool though. it's got casual-desirable elements like the lobby which i mentioned (which also on a technical level eliminates the boredom of looking at a matchmaking timer) and the goofy faces you can make mashing keys when it shows fighter portraits.
>and 2 of my best friends regular copies from cdkeys

just a regular version for me
i'll get DLC when DLC characters have interesting play style
but i wonder if you can get the DLC character off from Drive Tickets
Season 1 of SF6 is just 4 characters. I doubt that the will let you earn them just by playing. Maybe the classic costumes and other shit, but not the characters.
>You can literally buy characters with fight money in SF5.
And they made it a grind to do, and then made it impossible to get fight money because PC players found a way around it (cheat engine) because that shit was a bore.
Seems like capcom avoided questions about the Drive Tickets in their reddit shit. Most likely because they know that some people will be angry of how it works.
People thinking DR is gonna carry them are gonna be in for a rude wake up once grapplers join the fight. bro you're gonna regret pressing that gay ass green goo gayry as I command grab you and you're gonna dread that I have access to it as I command grab you again.
the only negatives are, the shitty menus, making you listen to the gay to get into battle hub for the first time, and arguably some of the 3d models like kimberly, the core gameplay is godlike
back on track, picking up where SFIV left off. can't wait to have a healthy SF scene back and everyone playing.
holy fuck imagine how things would be if SFV didn't try and bury this fucking franchise.
The beta was fun and I think it's because of the shitty drive gimmicks I'm not taking it seriously as a competitive game. That's probably what the devs intended. Let's be honest, it's a robbery mechanic.
Everyone is going to be on Diablo and will play SF6 at most single day at release and ofcourse it will be world tour mode. What helped Strive big time was a fact it released when literally nothing was coming out so everyone streamed it including biggest normie fag streamers. Diabololo is very big with normies for some reason.
Strive player here, I got into fighters with Strive, and made it to Celestial in less than a month.
I am going to compete in SF6. However when I jumped into ranked and chose Plat+ I got really unlucky with the matches and it placed me in Silver.
I quit the game because every match was some dumbass doing unsafe and playing like a shitter and it frustrates me to play against people much worse than me.
Will the real game have a way to reset your rank and do the placements again until they give you a fair result?
The idea of being forced to fight mouthbreathers for hours to get to the rank I should be at is a big turn off.
why are you spamming this shit everywhere. go back to spamming sfg moron.
Both SF and Diablo are no longer relevant with young normies. Diablo just has a bigger community left because blizzdrones are the equivalent of mentally ill disney manchildren.
The V-System was an utter catastrophe and generally proves that anyone claiming they prefer V to 6 is full of shit >V-Skills have zero reason to not be baseline inclusions in characters’ kits >V-Triggers range from ridiculous blowout win-more installs (G) to overly-conditional dogshit (Vega) >V-Reversals further increased the gulf in defensive options between haves and have-nots and V-Shift had to be introduced specifically in an attempt to correct it
It was an unpleasant mechanic that at best made characters feel barebones as shit when absent and unfairly rewarded bad play at worst, the Drive Gauge is miles better in every way

It was a rough two years watching anitrannies ramp up the erosion of the fighting game genre the moment they got the spotlight. If there's at least one good thing SF6 guarantees, it's the burial of the tranime sub-genre and those freaks will never see the limelight again Alhamdullilah
The new green bar is going to take some getting used to, but it's infinitely better than the comeback mechanism that was V-Trigger. Not sure how I like EX moves using that bar instead of meter though.
>Not sure how I like EX moves using that bar instead of meter though
I fucking live it, each character feels complete and ready to go from match start, you just need to focus on how you use your tools.
Jamie is weird where he is weak, but his kit is still large enough that he still feels like a full character and his main flaw is getting murdered by guile. If he's the weakest character on full release that's the game in an extremely good spot
>sees capsoy cross my path

No. It's more modern fighting game slop
gold league detected
Yeah, the beta ran like a dream. Game feels a bit weird, but this might be because I played Jamie
It's very fun to play so far, but Drive mechanics are going to take a while to get used to. I ate a lot of DIs during the beta.
Can you grab DI? couldnt try it but maybe it's a good answer if you dont have meter, at least for the slower ones
you can
i had a blast in the beta and cannot wait to play the full game and get to actually play my main
I enjoyed it
Ugly game with retarded gameplay
Do you guys think the roster will ever reach the size of endgame 4 and 5?
It undoubtedly will, and they'll all be paid DLC
2 years and the best was Kimberly and Marisa? They should bring back more old characters.
JP and Jamie are cool characters
JP yes, Jamie is a generic gay.
Jamie's critical art is the best in the series and drunken kung fu is based.
I love Lily!
i want to sit on her with ehonda
Almost all new characters are good for the setting.
Yes, they expect SF6 to be around for 10 years, it will be around the same roster size in 2026, we will get probably 7 characters till the end of 2024 then they will announce the "Ultimate edition" with 8 returning characters + DLC pack 3.
can't even play Marisa how do you know she's good lol
so far this game had the most solid additions since Third Strike, i'm expecting a good number of characters but not expecting more than 30.
I take it takes 2 years because they have to test their moveset with different custom characters?
lfuckingmao they had TWO YEARS to go "maybe we fucked up somewhere" with Kimberly and whatever T.Hawk's sister's name is, I can't believe they actually have the balls to release the game with so much of the roster looking this bad
as a SF fan getting 4,5 and 6 all in a row hurts.
absolutely nothing in 4 or 5 looked anywhere near as bad on a technical level, like it's obvious what they were SUPPOSED to look like when you see the 2D concept art, but the transition to 3D looks like they just rushed it or had someone purposefully sabotaging it
>look
can i stop you right there.
i don't care how it looks. i care how it plays
then go play a MUD or something, this is a board for VIDEO games where you are supposed to at least nominally give a shit about what you are looking at
>gameplay consists of looking at the same 20+ characters doing the same moves over and over again for 2000+ hours over the course of 8 years on the same 10+ stages (but let's be honest, mostly Training Stage) that are only seen from one camera angle for 99% of a match
>w-why do you care about the artstyle or the visual presentation?
because i still play masterpieces made in the early 90's with fucking 20x20 pixel sprites
graphics morons do you really?
Obsessed and gnomish
Really feel like G and Ed/Rashid should've been base game characters.
>2 years to do that vs what snk was doing with almost no money
They should just pull a Smash Ultimate and bring everyone back but it'll never happen because the devs aren't as passionate as Sakurai is about fighting games.
2years for one character? bullshit
Yes, why not?
The game is poised to be the biggest SF launch in a decade, it'll have more seasons and support than V did.
>more seasons and support than V did
eh I'm not sure, V only got more cause of delays.
I dunno but they better start adding more SF3 characters or some obscure SF lore characters because I'm fucking sick of the 2/Alpha cast.
That probably shouldn't be interpreted as "we only make one new character every 2 years", obviously they're going to be having more than one character baking in the oven during this time.
Yeah obviously, they should have an easier time now as well since they don't have a whole game to make as well.
It took 2 years to create a character on top of developing the whole game around them as well as other characters. When it comes to DLC, the main focus will be the DLC character so it will take much less time.
which character plays most like C Viper?
nobody and none are that cool
cviper (mvc3). Closest experience in kof as far as inputs might be angel but her neutral is completely different.
Hopefully none. She was retarded as fuck with those 50/50. Brainless as bitch.
I like it
t. Banana Ken during beta looking forward to Manon, Marisa and Dee Jay
I'm a tekken player and I have to concede and say this is going to be a good one. The lobby system is the best thing I've experienced in a video game without having to pay a subscription service for MMORPGBBQOJANSODBOJ that all fat virgin nerds play.
I liked it and I like the drive system. I don't understand why so many are shitting on it. I'd take it over the shitty V system from 5 any day.
Since we're in the early days still, DI hasn't been fully figured out by most players, though I can see it becoming less of a problem with time. Drive rush will always be OP, that I can't deny
People have been playing the cracked beta for months.
Against bots
DI counters aren't hard to figure out, parry or use your own DI
The problem is the threat of DI shutting down slower pokes and making the game all about them lights
>The problem is the threat of DI shutting down slower pokes
Its 26 frames so you aren't doing it on reaction to even a slow poke. Like a lot of DI uses it is a catch all way to beat very predictable play styles. If they got that read they could've blown it up some other way.
The problem is non cancellable slow pokes, if you're too close you will fucking eat that di. The problem with this game is how small the cancel windows for normals are anyways.
no
How do I get into the training ground in the beta so i can test out the fighters?
beta is over
Dunno. I don’t play fightan slop anymore. I’m too old and can’t do motion inputs
I enjoyed it a lot. Unfortunately I can't go back to playing fighterz now. The game made me realize how much I missed Street Fighter neutral, and I keep trying to dragon rush with the sf6 grab. Besides Jamie is fun as hell.
Hey, glad you got to enjoy the game
Ken was pretty fun and want to try Jury too. I'll be waiting for a sale tho
>SFV with a new coat of paint
why are people unironically excited for this
I'd love a new fighting game to play everything has been so fucking shit lately.
Good bait
?
you are seriously smoking some shit
it somehow isnt even fundamentally better than older SF games. much like SFV was fundamentally flawed.
it's going to be one of the best fighting games of all time
Reminder that anyone who buys SF6 is either a woke subhuman or an NPC.
I just like to play fighting games with my bros
Yeah, sf6 SUCKS!1! That's why I play Strive™
>09'ers calling themselves OG's
please leave.
hey now, i said relatively long time fan. i know i wasn't early to fighting games, i wasn't playing Alpha 3 at an arcade downtown in 2003. i know where i'm at. lol
respect us
Remove drive cancel
it didn't run on my laptop,
The beta was pretty fucking solid.
Hope the game takes off.
yeah I also hope the game takes off of a cliff
But then it would fly…
Something about the way SF6 is animated looks worse than any of their previous forays into 3D. It almost doesn't even look or animate like a Capcom fighting game. It's like they outsourced the mocap and the animation work to another team or something. I don't like it. Even if modders fix the lighting and the character models, we're stuck with these animations.
SFV was already heavily out-sourced and was animated worse than SF4. so..?
Please stop responding to the spammer
so what? you just roll over and take it in the ass instead of pushing back against the animations becoming progressively worse game by game?
> you just roll over and take it in the ass
Yes.
>Eternity.webm
the quality of the gameplay is shit, so i really could give a fuck.
if the game was actually good i would literally mod the animations myself because im an animator.
>thinks game is bad
>>I REALLY COULD GIVE A FUCK
dumbass americans I swear
The animations are vastly superior in 6.
Why is she so fat
It sounds like a machine gun going off now. I like it. I like it a lot.
You're right, the timing and poses are really bad in comparison
It looks bad but I don't really understand why, someone explain please, it looks cheap fro some reason
>slow than SFV
How in the fuck did they do it?
Compared to the effort they've put in for V I actually want to support Capcom this time round
>Compared to the effort they've put in for V I actually want to support Capcom this time round
fucker you got me
At this point you're just living in the thread, go back to those "bitching about movie games" threads anon
only one of those posts is me, anon
It's boring and I'll never buy a game with that much woke shit forced into it.
It's all the worst parts of SFV and IV rolled into one, with some problems actually made worse
It's baffling how they managed to build the most terrible combination of elements imaginable
Only 10 days bros
If anything, it's a good thing the scrubs will abuse the hell out of it.
moron you litearally cant do anything about DR when you get knocked down and put into a guessing situation, are you retarded
???? Thats just an oki
>oki in a game where a wrong guess costs you 40-70% of your life
HMMMMMMMMM
goalpost moving farther and farther
SFV players holy shit lmao
get hit by literally anything in neutral. GG YOU LOST NEUTRAL IM GONNA OKI YOU FOR FREE
WHATS THAT YOU GUESSED THROW? EAT MY 4K+ DAMAGE COMBO LMAO
SFV really fucking mindbroken holy shit
tell you're shit at fighting games again.
yeah now I know it's bait, have a pleasant evening
>get hit by literally anything in neutral. GG YOU LOST NEUTRAL IM GONNA OKI YOU FOR FREE
My man, part of fighting games is fighting your opponent. Not just his character. If you keep getting hit on wake up, that's a skill issue. Not a fault of the game. Why do you think dudes like Daigo are so praised for their wake up options? Come on dude
>play SFV
>get throw loop 4 times in a row
>gays now defend this ass "fighting games"
yeah no literally this game is all about skipping neutral all the time stop defending this dogshit
Not him but oki is extremely rude. A well-mannered player always backs off and lets his opponent get back on his feet.
I'm gonna kiss you
Name a fighting game with no oki
bro you dumb
you dont know what you're talking about lol
holy shit shut the fuck up you absolute fightlet you dont play fgs moron retard
DR says FUCK THAT WE NEED TO PLAY SFV AGAIN.
it has nothing to do with DR in neutral against an opponent in neutral which yeah its kinda strong there but thats not the point. the point it is it litearlly wins the match for you because you skip neutral completely off innocuous hits into extremely volatile situations.
>before you quick rise i DR right ontop of you
Then you're a scrub and i use my own DI and punish you heavy on reaction. This the thing you guys are failing to realize
youre literally already eating a meaty during your DI and i just DI you back, pressing DI does not get you out of jail free. are you retarded?
and to add to that DI also loses to throw, what point are you trying to make retard. try again.
Just throw tech bro it's not that hard. Why are you complaining about oki after a knockdown that uses resource? Do you think throw has no counterplay?
youre litearally in a situation youre not supposed to be in just because some retard with 2 brain cells pressed MP+MK and two buttons. you literally just lost neutral off a move that isnt supposed to win nuetral. what part of this dont you fucking understand.
Quoting your original post
>i knock you down with a move that allows you to quick rise
before you quick rise i DR right ontop of you
A knockdown is the end of neutral, like the literal textbook definition. Why should the player in advantage not get oki? What's the point of a knockdown if it's just a return to neutral.
DO YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DRIVE RUSH AND DRIVE IMPACT YOU TROGLODYTE STOP REPLYING TO ME
normies will buy it to run around as their head cannon version ryu
What? Let me spell out your argument
The game is poorly designed because after a knockdown in neutral the advantaged player can spend meter (important resource that gives you access to ex moves and cripples you if you don't have it) to get strong oki and mixups. In guilty gear you get oki off a knockdown for free so I imagine that's like the worst game ever in your opinion
the game is designed to focus around neutral
most wakeups, block push back distance will reset the game back to neutral.
when i get a hit off some move that knocks you down you can quick rise from that move
meaning the developers intention is for that move not to have any follow up of any kind.(there are shit tons of moves that have this sort of property and distance-resetting outside of the corner) so now i have drive meter (who gives a fuck the resource is there to be spammed) instead of playing neutral with you some more, i say you know what? fuck all that. i wanna flip coins. i drive rush ontop of you as you are getting up and now you are forced into a guessing situation, which judging by the block push back distance and relatively quick rising nature of the game goes against what the developers are intending here. they want us to play neutral they have two opposing design philosophies here. now are there moves that give you pressure option without using meter? yes of course but those moves have their inherent risks and properties. when i hit you with some random shit that is intended to put us in neutral to go ahead and skip neutral and just continue to play a guessing game that is not SF, that to me just sounds like more SFV throw loop low block distance nonsense.
so yeah if you wanna waste your time with this dogshit anime fighter go ahead.
Why's it bad game design to have advantage after landing a combo?
>youre literally already eating a meaty during your DI and i just DI you back
What? If you DI me during meaty I can wake up and react on frame one with my own. That's the point, If you abuse DI you'll get punished very hard.
YOURE THE ONE WHO SAID YOU WOULD DI ON YOUR WAKEUP TO BEAT A MEATY YOU RETARD
are you really sperging out this hard over a game you clearly did not play?
meatys and oki are in every fighting game, DR and DI don't change that
Like I said several posts ago, you're playing your opponent, not jus the character. If I'm playing a scrub who loves DI on wake up, guess what? I adjust my strategy. Why is this rocket science to you?
>nooooooo im supposed to have an unbeatable technique its only fair!!
>WHAT DO YOU MEAN EVERYTHING CAN BE COUNTERED HOLY SHIT IM SUPPOSED TO BE FULLY IMPERVIOUS WHILE EXECUTING MY PERFECTLY CRAFTED MASTERPLAN
>unbeatable technique its only fair!!
You don't have an unbeatable technique.
nobody mentioned DI until you did, stop replying to me i think your brain is severely lacking several tens maybe hundreds of IQ points.
>huge commitment
>they literally do it all the time to get meaty pressure situations.
you're gonna be seeing it a lot more. trust me
>If I spend meter I get strong oki and pressure resets
>I am incapable of teching throws
This game sucks
Bitch you got hit and put into a knockdown, you already lost neutral and have to work your way out of a bad situation.
The only thing that's changed is that they're spending resource for what they would've gotten for free in other games.
drive reversal crushes drive rush and steals like 3 bars putting you most likely into burnout
DR is already rarely used on high level play (as of right now) because it's a huge commit and tournament players don't like that.
Yeah its better than 4 and much better than 5
It was mostly good.
Please. I need fei long.
Please
Pls harada
It's jamie you silly fucker
Yeah, it's pretty good
The music isn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
Some themes do truly suck ass but some…some are awright.
Li fen is pretty cute :3
I really liked the beta. I'll probably buy it. Much better offer than what Capcom gave us with SFV.
I hope the story isn’t all nonsense like the demo implies.
>caring about the st*ry of all things in a fg
lmao
Yeah man I’ve been into ryu and Ken’s story since street fighter II.
It'll be some basic villian stuff with JP and then 2-3 years we'll get a Super SF6 expansion that'll add G to the plot
Kinda hate how they had to shoehorn bison somewhere even in a game that happens after SF3
They have potential in something like a team battle but not 1 on 1
From a mechanical perspective, purely based on gameplay, is this a fighting game that rewards scrub plays, or well though out skilled players?
Everyone said SFV was a srubs game, how is this any different?
its another scrub game. skip neutral, easy mode combos, jump in attacks have huge window.
modern controls doing optimal hit confirm combos for you. the list goes on and on.
>purely based on gameplay, is this a fighting game that rewards scrub plays,
Scrubs are gonna get destroyed in this game. They'll spam DI and get countered by players who know what they're doing.
My reasons for getting the game:
>AI
What's good about the AI? Isn't it the same input reading TAS combo shit as always?
You cannot get into an AIs head and read its actions.
It's vicious, unrelenting offense. It seems to not only want to beat me but beat me in the most optimized way possible. It's like a track in Gran Turismo. If I fuckup even once, the course doesn't slightly alter itself so I'm not too disappointed.
Main and control type quiz
https://www.streetfighter.com/6/contents/characterquiz/en/
>sim
>classic
Close but no cigar, I much prefer Guile
why
>dynamic
OHNONONONONONONONONONNONOOO
The test is saying that you think like a scrub. Choose answers that give you your control and start thinking that way.
Why does this quiz want everyone to use Honda? I got him too along with Modern controls.
Learning that the Sumo Dash is the key to winning the grand finals at Capcom Cup must be the thank you for taking the quiz.
HE WAS THERE IN STREET FIGHTER 2 THE WORLD WARRIORS AND YOU WILL LIKE HIM1!!!!
I will try out Honda because my favorite fgc player Mike Ross plays him.
BEAST MODE, BABY
She does look super fun, shame about the derpy face.
Also
>Select "I want to win"
>Quiz recommends Modern
>Select "I want to get to know my opponent through battle"
>Quiz recommends Classic
Even Capcom knows Modern is broken.
Idk bro, I picked "I want to win" and got Classic
>Deejay
>Classic
I do like his design a lot and Vega isn't in this game (I sometimes wonder if he was in fucking 5 after what they did to him) so maybe
kek
the result i wanted: pic related
the result i got: marisa and dynamic
>https://www.streetfighter.com/6/contents/characterquiz/en/
Whoa. This got crazy right away. Help me cheat, bros.
>no dash at your opponent option
That quiz is shit
I think that was question 3. I got Honda.
Then there's another quiz about controls. Fug.
sirs...
Do the needful sir, please
I see
How's zappy green boi compared to SF2 and SF4?
I mean I played some juri in training mode but I didn't like her much
Also modern felt pretty restrictive compared to going classic
Luke and modern. I want to main either Luke, Deejay or Manon, but modern felt very restrictive compared to classic
>https://www.streetfighter.com/6/contents/characterquiz/en/
>Literally two questions for controls
Worthless.
Anyway:
>Modern
>Flowchart Ken
LMAO. I shat and Classic players with Modern Chun.
>Luke/classic
>it actually got my main right
lmao nice one capcom.
I have always really hated playing blanca in any version, one of the few I really never qwnt to play
I hate how they've either turned charge characters motion or changed half their moves to be motion to justify them having a modern control scheme. There probably won't even be a single charge character dlc for years.
uhh bros?
you dont have it worse
i got Blanka Dynamic
Monkey character with Monkey Controls
yeah there is no difference kek
Flowchart questionaire, just branches instead of a real set of questions.
>22 character roster leaks, fans get hyped because this means a 6 character Season Pass would bring the cast up to 28 by the end of Season 1 and blow the disappointing launch of SFV outta the fucking water
>Capcom acknowledge the leak on Twitter but say nothing about DLC
>later reveal that only 18 of the 22 characters shown are actually in at release, the other 4 are the entire first $24.99 Season Pass (Rashid, AKI, Ed, and Akuma)
>if we get 5 Season Passes, we'll only be getting 16 more characters after the 22 leaked fighters
>if 4 more of those are newcomers like AKI, we'll only see 11 more returning characters from previous SF games
>it will be over a year post launch before a character is revealed and added that we haven't already seen
>on top of all that, Street Fighter 6 somehow manages to be the ugliest the series has ever looked in 3D
How the fuck do I drive cancel
Hit forward as if you're gonna dash, then hit parry and forward again at the same time.
Damn I removed the easy parry in my button setup.
I use the alpha 1 button layout.
Yeah to get it out instant you need the one button parry
While in defense hit forward + both strong punch + kick
pro fighting game player here
there's no reason to NOT use modern controls, thing is straight up busted for reversals
"just buffer your inputs" isn't near as good as a frame 1 SA3 on reaction to a midscreen fireball
great webm
Doesn’t modern reduce damage?
I don't think that matters given the advantages
>20% less damage
>hit enemy with a random crmk that is too far for my normal hit confirm
>modern controls takes over and completes the combo using another hit confirm special
>hit enemy with a random crmk that is actually a punish counter
>modern controls takes over and performs an optimal punish counter combo.
WOW LIKE 20% ITS NOT VIABLE DOODS!
>optimal punish counter combo.
optimal combos are found by the players after lots of experimenting you fucking retard
okay react to punish counter crmk at max distance in neutral when you're fishing for whiff punish. NOT IN TRAINING MODE
go ahead ill give you 30 years.
That’s 1 year too many
unless you're a fucking squirrel or you have your counter hit set up primed, youre not out-reacting a CPU that is going to automatically optimize your combo with EX wall bounce. fuck off retard.
ill never understand why people find this hard to do
personally I find super inputs to be far easier than doing DPs
Depends on your input method of choice. Double qcfs are way harder on stick than DPs for example. I actually find it easier to input continuous motions like 360s or 720s than doing double qcfs
Eh I experienced the opposite, DP motions always felt inconsistent to me even if i'm feeling like i'm doing the exact some motion that always worked.
Meanwhile Double QCF I can do almost effortlessly, even in games with tight timing like Street Fighter.
I think the difference is the DP input you 'have' to be percise while Double QCFs you can mash, sometimes even on accident.
I miss when trolls put in effort like this, that was a funny thread.
>played through the whole weekend without realizing you can cancel into DI from special cancelable normals
>Gankertards are literally getting filtered by a move that takes ten years to hit
Honestly I keep forgetting you can cancel into it
>Honestly I keep forgetting you can cancel into it
these are the people arguing about the mechanics being balanced.
Ten years?!
Ganker is historically trash at fighting games. It's been like 18 years, Shit half the posters here are underaged
>uses DI in close range when characters will use cancellable normals
The complain is in midrange with non-cancellable pokes
why do you jive morons hate counterplay?
i tried all of my modern luke grime that i cooked up in the modded beta and i decided modern wasn't so great after all. you really can catch people out with 1 button super whiff punishes, ex dp, and bail yourself out of tick di setups when you're burnt out all day, but my neutral caved against half of the cast without standing MK. once you start running into people who know how to walk forward and block and have the patience to play for pixels of distance to the corner and seconds on the clock instead of making big moves, you'll find modern fizzles out. im hoping modern zangief is ridiculous so I can continue to meme it but im playing classic
skill issue
modern is busted in competent hands.
i was getting the value out of modern, that part doesn't require much competence. you need to get in plat and diamond matches with luke's standing mp and see what you can do
>but my neutral caved against half of the cast without standing MK
This shit really is more of a cheat than modern ever could be.
>noooooo you're not allowed to just throw heavy attacks DI is too OP
now use an attack that doesn't and cannot and never will be able to cancel into DI
Juri is fucking broken. I don't think people understand that yet
I can fix her
Her 5HK is so stupid.
Street Kino, cant wait to play it. Already pre-ordered the ultimate edition.
>nooooo why do you enjoy things youre not supposed to find joy in this life
>you MUST be bitter and cynical, its the only trie path
>STOP BEING HAPPY
>BE JADED AND ANGRY AT ALL TIMES GOD DAMN IT YOU FUCKING NPC SHILL I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU
>the worst SF game in history
>kino
pick one shit for brains.
>the worst SF game in history
you know, after hearing that same bullshit EVERY single fucking time, you stop paying attention to jaded doomposters and they meaningless stupid shit
ah yes because SF3, SF4 and SFV were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo beloved by SF fans right? lmao
theyre all shilling because they dont want the franchise to die like it did after SF3.
>agreeing with my point
okay?
Every new SF they say its the worst one everrrrrrrr yet it still remains one of the most popular fg series.
Also keep in mind many 'pro' players call it shit as an option select in order they dont do well in the new game
>its not my fault from being bad, its just the game thats not good
lmao
threadly reminder that Capcom didn't design the gameplay for SF4, DIMPS did, and then Capcom said
>oh yeah, we can totally make a better version of that, you DIMPS guys can go
and then proceeded to not make a better version of that 3-going-on-4 times in a row
SF4 is fundamentally not terrible, but the netplay killed it. focus and ultras were gay as fuck.
its this SFV shit which i could be convinced SFV was a huge fuck up on capcoms part. but now we are at the point where capcom has now doubled down on SFV's fundamentals. like what the fuck are they thinking.
>like what the fuck are they thinking
Thinking they need a game that's actually accessible so it sells. There's no profit pandering to fundamentals autists. There's negative money when you end up giving double your sales money back to people winning tournaments in fursuits.
die, capitalist pigdog
Poorfag cope. I will enjoy my ultimate edition while laughing at (you).
Don’t care still buying
Also, yes. I like something so I’m going to buy it. Fucking crazy how that works.
save your post and read it back to yourself in 2 months.
it's like there was a complete breakdown of communication somewhere between the art team at Capcom and the modeling/rendering team for SF6. the artwork is all super anime and looks fine, but the in-game models look fucking awful. i don't get it.
ill never understand why they redesigned lily's outfit, such a waste
A poncho is a bitch and a half to program in a video game.
there is absolutely no way the 2d designs could look good in 3d, with the exception of juri who is proof that they bungled the 3d for all of the characters. there's no use polishing the turds that are kim, the announcer character whose cinematic i skipped, manon, or lily.
i am mostly frustrated with cammy's facial geometry and the grotesque body horrors that are chun and manon in this game. they need to bring back the wide and shallow asian-type faces for white characters in capcom art design and i aint cappin
fr?
frfr
I was with you until I actually played the game. These screenshots look awful, but in motion, the game looks great. Yes, even Chun Li
I played 30 hours of the beta and chun's chicken wing thighs going into her tiny feet looked grotesque to me even in motion. Bring back chun's boots and chiseled legs.
Pick her classic outfit then
im a cammy player, hope she has an outfit that fixes her fucked up face
I'm straight edge, so I will not be playing jamie.
It's a non-alcoholic drink anon.
oh maybe I will pick jamie then
I think that asuka guy is still around he just stopped avatarfagging
I hate to admit it but I actually lowkey love the Fortnite inspired aesthetic that they're going for. It's heaps encouraging to see SF adapting with the times unlike some other fighters.
i would agree except luke doing fortnite dances is 1% of the game's new aesthetic and the rest is intentionally ugly characters, purple, and really bad bgm. I feel like I got monkey pawed because I enjoy sf6 more than every other sf game in the entire franchise and like the media assets the least. fun game, too bad it's ugly as hell by design
Is Jamie shit? He looks the most fun to me.
Is Juri good for a beginner?
yes
Damn that takes me back
Sometimes I stand in front of the mirror and pretend I’m ryu in the super street fighter II intro
capcom got meme'd hard by FGC morons into wasting money on single player content that could have gone towards making the game better looking
Nobody is buying SF6 because of world tour or extreme
Nobody is going to give a fuck about either modes after a month. It's a waste of resources and money and it's going to affect the pace of new character releases too. Fuck the FGC and Max for this retarded single player content meme
Ppl who don't even care about fighting game seem pretty hyped about this tbqh. All my coworkers were talking about this beta
Crapcom wants MK tier sales but gives us a crappy PS2 Yakuza story mode
On one hand I want to get the game, on the other hand Modern Controls deeply concern me. I think I'll wait till the first big tourney and see how far modern controls players make it before deciding whether to buy. Modern controls should just be something you use when you're new to the game and wanna play casually, but it actually gives you some big advantages that make it worth considering over classic...
One button supers are pretty concerning
I think it's safe to say Smash Bros. would never have been popular if it required a $200 controller to consistently execute special attacks. Trying to compete on a high level with the standard Playstation or Xbox controllers was basically suicide. I think the beta proved modern controls finally made Street Fighter more accessible to a wider audience. It probably won't pick up any Tekken or KoF players because those are full time jobs like CoD, but it should pick up a good amount of Smash and MK players.
Plenty of SFV pros use controllers, SF6 won’t be much different since it’s similar to SFV
I guess banning Qanba, Hori and Hitbox from Evo and Capcom Cup shouldn't be a problem then. Let's see how popular classic controls are after that.
>S1: Ed, Rashid, Akuma, AKI
>S2: Return, Return, Sakura, Newcomer
>S3: Return, Return, Return, Newcomer
>S4: Return, Return, Evil Ryu, Newcomer
>S5: Return, Return, Return, Newcomer
>only 10 slots left for returning characters before the game becomes more expensive than SFV
4 character seasons were a mistake
I'm annoyed that Maximillian and others that have been playing various iterations of SF6 for a year were not able to put into words how the game feels. Here's how you explain SF6 to someone -
>most expanded character moveset of any SF game
>features a drive gauge bar that really should be called the "crazy shit" bar because it puts a cap on how much crazy shit you are allowed to do per round
Those two things together make the matches intense and strategic.
>most expanded character moveset of any SF game
everything is unsafe again (even more this time)
>features a drive gauge bar that really should be called the "crazy shit" bar because it puts a cap on how much crazy shit you are allowed to do per round
>everyone has V trigger when you start the round
>Those two things together make the matches intense and strategic.
>Those two things together make the game literally SFV part 2.
No this is how you explain SF6
Street fighter with more RPS.
SF6 is following the modern fg design philosophy of stupid low risk rps for high reward like guilty gear strive.
SF5: flowchart game
SF6: decisions game
SF5: flowchart game
SF6: press MK+MP --> to flowchart game
>SF6: decisions game
do random shit to force an immediate response or receive big reward for unga bunga. People are going to get tired of this shit in 6 months if they don't rebalance drive impact and burn out state. It's fucking retarded how far the pushback is.
Blocking is the worst thing you can do in street fighter now, they've turned the game into gotta do CUHRAZY anime shit or lose
Why does the quiz even exists, if Kimberly is the only answer it has for every question.
I don't want to play as the Black alien.
I got Guile and Classic, it’s not only Kimberly
>unsure of what to do next during a match? just hit the Party Impact button to get back in that ass right away!
>mid screen? half screen? 3/4 screen? who fucking cares? your Party Impact can always get another party started!
>round start
>both players attempt to force RPS instead of playing neutral/taking their turn
The worst thing is you're punished for not participating because of how weak blocking is vs drive impact/rush
Eat my sweep, gay
insightful reply, thanks anon
>you're punished for not participating because of how weak blocking is vs drive impact/rush
Then just throw out a jab if they DR, grab if they DR, or fucking jump if they do either. I shouldn't even have to mention how starting the round off with a fucking DI is literally bronze tier shit.
>then just throw paper, or rock
>Opponent does obvious as fuck move that will get them raped
>Counter it
>"WAAAAAAAAWAAAAAAAA JUST LET ME BE A SCRUB"
have a nice day frogposter.
>Counterplay is rps game design
Everysinglecompetitivegameevermade bros how do we cope
>thinks he has the perfect counterplay to RPS
my dude, the hubris. Even if you perfectly counter every single attempt at this, it's not fun when it's being forced on you
>It's not fun to snuff out and shit on some dumbass throwing himself at me for free
No that's pretty fun actually.
It's not rock paper scissors it's called reacting to what your opponent does and responding appropriately and we've been doing this since cavemen squabbled over food
what the fuck do you want the match to be? the guy goes afk and you beat his ass?
Those.. Those are computers. Neither of those players are human. You can't possibly think that this is a good representation of whatever narrative you want to push.
i had matches in the beta that went just like this you obviously didn't play if you think people aren't trying to RPS their turn back with drive moves.
>i had matches in the beta that went just like this
thanks for letting us know you're a retarded rookie
>i had matches in the beta that went just like
Hi iron rank.
Have you never played a fighting game before? The braindead gimmicky shit is usually good for a little bit but people learn how to play after the game has been out for a month or two and that guy who was massively oppressive and everywhere just stops existing because everyone figured out the real problem.
Opening with a DI is a surefire way to get punished.
Drive cancel should cost the whole tech bar
drive cancel should be removed
Even better.
You fucking genius.
this guy really stayed up late because he stopped getting replies during his regular hours lol
if daigo can't react to a drive rush throw neither can you. fucking retards really think they have all the counters to this rando rps nonsense lmao
Daigo's an old fucking man. What kind of an argument is this, the dude's not exactly a spring chicken and you're gonna use him as the basis of your argument?
>If your metered strike/throw mixup works, it's bad game design
it's a metered strike/throw from fucking midscreen lmao. it's fucking anime bullshit, this isn't street fighter
strike/throw is and has been stronger in sf than anime. i want more than 1 frame of throw protection in sf specifically because i am an anime player and thought they had throws right with 3s
>Microtransaction system hasn’t been revealed
>World Tour mode gets repetitive after an hour
>Because of the prizepool, SF6 is going to become Job Fighter for content creators and pros alike
>Netcode has forced variable delay
>No Wi-Fi indicator
>No method for filter players based on Control Type (ie Classic or Modern)
>Regardless of your opinion of the artstyle, it's unanimously agreed upon that the game's lighting looks like ass MOST of the time
for filtering**
just take the throw, bros
Does anyone know what Juri's 2nd special does?

eggstra slibbery foot jawb
All her normals became cancellable
Blockstun is weird, wakeup timing is weird, inputs get eaten randomly, music is shit, the entirety of the drive bar is trash. 6/10 right now, hope they patch it up soon after release.
No, its more moronfied than SF 4
>*blows your neutral up with Splatoon paint*
>cpu level 8 vs cpu level 8
Went from ready to purchase on day 1, to waiting for the inevitable mark down to <$10.
Too woke, too ugly, and the gameplay feels like SFV with some mods.
LukeGAWD's game is perfect. Can't wait to play it on June 2nd. Street Fighter is finally healing.
anons, you simply can't sell ad space to Redbull and Arby's to host ads/billboards all over the Battle Hub if you don't cook one up. just like you can't sell Cash Shop outfits for Lobby Avatars if there's no Create-a-Fighter system. we gotta diversify our monetization scheme. the full retail box price, the Season Passes, the physical re-releases like Arcade Edition, the Premium Character Costumes, and the Capcom Cup Premier Passes simply aren't enough methods of monetization. we're leaving money on the table.
speaking of, don't forget to sign up for a Capcom ID and link it to your Steam account. we already have some buyers lined up for your data and we need that.
i notice that basically all the pros are using hit box now
is that mean hitbox is better?
what is the good hitbox?
>is that mean hitbox is better?
yes, there's less margin for input error when you're strictly using buttons for directions instead of a controller d-pad/joystick. You can get the same effect playing on keyboard
It's better if you play games for 40 to 80 hours per week. If not, it's better to play with modern controls.
Pros
>Faster inputs for switching blocks, dashing etc.
>Very deliberate inputs
>Clean DPs
>SOCD shortcuts for dirty DPs
>SOCD flash kicks (SF6 says this not allowed in official tournaments)
>Easy TKs because of SOCD jump (SF6 says this is not allowed in official tournaments)
Cons
>Very deliberate inputs
>Unintuitive unless you've played on keyboard
>Clean halfcircles which are sometimes required are awkward when starting out
>360/270 motions are awkward when starting out
>Intensive on the hands until you get used to it.
The pros thing the pros outweigh the cons so they switch from stick. Some stayed. The ones playing on pad stick with pad.
It won't make you a better player overnight, play with what you're most comfortable with.
SF6 is trying to lessen the potential gap between sticks & hitboxes with the ruling change, though some thing that opened up an even worse can of worms.
>not allowed in official tournaments
I am curious how enforceable that is. Will we have a fucking hitbox certification for tournaments or something?
Official CPT tournament means you have to follow the rules.
It's on the players to ask for a buttoncheck before the match to confirm the correct SOCD cleaning, should only take a few seconds.
>Official CPT tournament means you have to follow the rules
Oh come on you know that never stopped anyone ever.
>It's on the players to ask for a buttoncheck before the match to confirm the correct SOCD cleaning
That will be even bigger can of worms with potential of people to use it maliciously "orgs his hitbox can totally do SOCD!"
>Calls over Bracket runner complaining about SOCD
>Presses Down + UP
>Scenario A: They jump. DQ or force him to switch modes
>Scenario B: They stand up.
Less wrist movement for boomer bones
Games like guilty gear make you immune to throw basically on wakeup but sf only gives you enough protect to basically have to guess
how many frames does a move have to be to be considered a meaty?
in a strict (autistic) sense the word means that you'd wake up in at least the second active frame of the move. in the case of throws and throw loops, its a meaty throw if it hits you uninterruptably near your first wakeup frame, i.e in the first 4 frames you're able to move
usually you can meaty with anything as long as you time it so your active frames cover their wakeup.
Get some original content you morons I see the same stale copy paste every thread
nope, it's normie tier garbage
right the broken vtumor game with infinites is much better.
retard.
I am honored.
being thrown out of a dp is bad and should not be allowed
easy way to set up drive impact training.
Yes.
I hear Kimberly and Guile are OP as fuck though. I only played a couple hours and foughtly mostly Kens and Ryus.
Is there any point in getting the Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition if I'm just gonna 1 trick a character?
Capcom are retards they don't lower the price for ultimate edition after you buy deluxe edition so that's something you would want to keep in mind.
>1 trick
Get the fuck out
But to answer your question fighting games are behind the times in usually requiring the have purchased the character in order to lab against them.
If you're planning on competing you will need to know your MUs and DLC advantage over not being able to lab against your character is real while in pools.
are you guys ready for the 2024 Capcom cup champion to be some random unknown zoomer using Modern Controls?
I cant wait for the shitstorm.
Virtually no one is talking about this either, which makes it all the more worrying.
sorry, I don't listen to any copypasta that hasn't been posted at least 50 times
I enjoyed watching it and will look forward to more of that when it comes out. Don't care too much for playing it.
I like world tour yakuza mmolite part and party fightan with custom characters, don't give a single fuck about regular competetive mode.
Know this. I will be playing as my waifu, Jamie, with classic controls at EVO.
>classic controls
ngmi
depends what the "updated balance and quality-of-life adjustments" will be.
For Drive Impact I think they need to increase the meter use so it's not thrown out so often.
I tried Ryu modern control. I find it's missing too much options.
>Better balance
>Bettter optimization
>More characters
>Maybe a patch improving the ugly shit of the game
There is really no reason to not wait until the game is 10$
it will have 500 players by then
Nah. SF6 will keep on average like 2500 players on steam and the game has crosssplay
>500 players when SFV is always between 900 and 2k players on Steam
>not counting crossplay
$105+tip for all characters as they release
yeah I can think of 95 reasons to wait lmao

There is something fucked up here. I think i can wait to see if the frst wave of retards get fucked in the ass by Capcom.
>cosmeticshit
who gives a shit? im going to use mods anyway
I care. If they try to milk players with microtransactions and the game has in-game ads like SFV they can fuck off
Not my problem.
Never asked. You can be a cuck if you like.
Cope.
they built an entire waiting room for people to sit in between games with big screens constantly running an MP4 on a loop for a reason, and you can bet your ass it was to run more sponsorship deals.
>don't forget to show your Capcom Cup Pride by equipping the Capcom Cup Tour 2024 T-Shirt and wearing it around the Battle Hub for an hour each day! you can earn up to 500 Drive tickets per day!
you DO realize that when the game releases you'll be able to join matches without having to be in the hub, right?
take your meds, schizo.
>drive tickets
in the beta you get them as rewards for completing challenges and then you can use them to buy clothes for your avatar.
Yeah, in the beta.
and it would be different for the full release why?
Because the open betas also want to sell the game. They can change very easy how much you get and how much you need of Drive Tickets to do shit in the game.

Brian_F is a retard who genuinely believes Tekken is a masher game.
?t=784
?t=811
brian f has horrible execution and specifically started playing boxer because he just couldn't do it
He's 100% right. Tekken has always been a mashing game
not what he said
Everything he said was correct.
String based games are more appealing at a low level because the characters are throwing out full strings as opposed to the same jab.
Another reason why MK is successful.
bro said tekken and mk is more successful because the low IQ people play those games
Yes
if Brian f think its bad then its good, that retard unironically enjoyed street fighter 5
It's essentially a low budget, low quality party game. I don't know why anyone would buy this for full price. I'd buy it during season 2 for $10.
True but wrong thread, you need to make your own tekken thread bro
for someone that doesn't play fighting games, can someone explain what's different between this and sfv? saw there's a lobby where you sit down at an arcade machine with your avatar, that's pretty cool but not actual fighting gameplay.
They have entirely different system mechanics, what exactly do you think changes between figbting games?
care to explain then in layman terms what mechanics have changed? seems like what only changes are the graphics and the characters that get added. basically like LoL
V had the V system, 6 had the Drive System.
>care to explain then in layman terms what mechanics have changed?
Anon... you're doing a thing where anon asks something, and throwing out jargon like FOOTISES, MEATIES, YOMI!!!!!!!! as if they know what the fuck you're talking about.
Don't do that, it kills your genre (more than it already is).
https://streetfighter.fandom.com/wiki/V-Gauge
https://www.streetfighter.com/6/en-us/mode/fightingground.html
at least he threw something out so i know there's changes. it made me google what the v-system was.
they're very similar games, the biggest difference is SF6 ditched V-Trigger in favor of suped up SF4 Focus Attacks.
okay, thank you for actually answering my question instead of like the other anon. the game does look really cool though. it's got casual-desirable elements like the lobby which i mentioned (which also on a technical level eliminates the boredom of looking at a matchmaking timer) and the goofy faces you can make mashing keys when it shows fighter portraits.
just bought myself ultimate edition and 2 of my best friends regular copies from cdkeys.
we loved the open beta
ayyyy! looking forward to watching you and the doods play together on Twitch! Kenny's gonna get BODIED lmao!
>shared that i bought from cdkeys because it was cheaper
>another anon buys from there

>and 2 of my best friends regular copies from cdkeys

>Capcom expect you to look at this game for the next 8 years

Desperate tendie
>Don't ask questions, buy the game at full price!
Fuck off . Only retards buy capcom fighting games on day 1 after their last 3 turds.
just a regular version for me
i'll get DLC when DLC characters have interesting play style
but i wonder if you can get the DLC character off from Drive Tickets
>but i wonder if you can get the DLC character off from Drive Tickets
no you cant
>i wonder if an extremely garden gnome company wont be too garden gnome just once
Maybe. Open beta showed you can try characters with drive tickets. I imagine it's going to cost pretty high to actually get though.
>SF6 free version is imminent
You can literally buy characters with fight money in SF5. That game costed full price.
Season 1 of SF6 is just 4 characters. I doubt that the will let you earn them just by playing. Maybe the classic costumes and other shit, but not the characters.
Who knows, maybe they do, maybe they don't. The point is it's not impossible.
>You can literally buy characters with fight money in SF5.
And they made it a grind to do, and then made it impossible to get fight money because PC players found a way around it (cheat engine) because that shit was a bore.
That shite isn't coming back, count on it.
Another thing PC turds ruined for everyone I guess.
>win a event tournament full of shitters or rig the event tournament
ez
>SFV grinding the trials just to get season 5 DLC
good times
there's at least a 0% chance of that happening
Seems like capcom avoided questions about the Drive Tickets in their reddit shit. Most likely because they know that some people will be angry of how it works.
People thinking DR is gonna carry them are gonna be in for a rude wake up once grapplers join the fight. bro you're gonna regret pressing that gay ass green goo gayry as I command grab you and you're gonna dread that I have access to it as I command grab you again.
The great wailing is just around the corner, grapplerbro.
10 more days.
the range is fucking crazy and your enemies are literally coming to you to get grabbed sweet jesus
This isn't SF4 with 2 frame command grabs they're now 5 frames or whatever, slower than most jabs yet you don't see people mashing jab against rush
Why did they change them from 2 to 5?
I thought MK had weird cameos, but how did SF land Popeye?
I'm predicting 10 dolla for individual costumes
the only negatives are, the shitty menus, making you listen to the gay to get into battle hub for the first time, and arguably some of the 3d models like kimberly, the core gameplay is godlike
i miss her so much, bros
never ever
modern controls are too strong on some characters
we haven't even seen the gimmicky bullshit characters except for kim
back on track, picking up where SFIV left off. can't wait to have a healthy SF scene back and everyone playing.
holy fuck imagine how things would be if SFV didn't try and bury this fucking franchise.
SF6 will go down as the second great fighting game revival
The beta was fun and I think it's because of the shitty drive gimmicks I'm not taking it seriously as a competitive game. That's probably what the devs intended. Let's be honest, it's a robbery mechanic.
do normies even give a shit about street fighter anymore? diablo is releasing just a few days apart and it will get far more mainstream attention
They dont and majority think game is ugly visually, just look at comments.
basically all the major variety streamers played the beta, at least the ones I know of
Everyone is going to be on Diablo and will play SF6 at most single day at release and ofcourse it will be world tour mode. What helped Strive big time was a fact it released when literally nothing was coming out so everyone streamed it including biggest normie fag streamers. Diabololo is very big with normies for some reason.
why are you spamming this shit everywhere. go back to spamming sfg moron.
Both SF and Diablo are no longer relevant with young normies. Diablo just has a bigger community left because blizzdrones are the equivalent of mentally ill disney manchildren.
SFV would be perfect if only it had rollback
SF6 is trash
I'm tired of pretending otherwise, I will not play SF6, and I will watch SFV dies, time for fightcade maybe
SFV does have rollback, but it would've unironically been better if it didn't the way they implemented it
Yeah, you know what I mean
The V-System was an utter catastrophe and generally proves that anyone claiming they prefer V to 6 is full of shit
>V-Skills have zero reason to not be baseline inclusions in characters’ kits
>V-Triggers range from ridiculous blowout win-more installs (G) to overly-conditional dogshit (Vega)
>V-Reversals further increased the gulf in defensive options between haves and have-nots and V-Shift had to be introduced specifically in an attempt to correct it
It was an unpleasant mechanic that at best made characters feel barebones as shit when absent and unfairly rewarded bad play at worst, the Drive Gauge is miles better in every way
V-Shift shouldve been in the base game
You talk like a shill, you aren't going to convince me
SFV is better, SF6 is trash, that's it
Why are you here then?
SFV is trash bro
SF6 is the new hotness
They'll drop support for the game in less than two years and it'll be the end of Capcom's FG division.
what are they cooking?
Strive player here, I got into fighters with Strive, and made it to Celestial in less than a month.
I am going to compete in SF6. However when I jumped into ranked and chose Plat+ I got really unlucky with the matches and it placed me in Silver.
I quit the game because every match was some dumbass doing unsafe and playing like a shitter and it frustrates me to play against people much worse than me.
Will the real game have a way to reset your rank and do the placements again until they give you a fair result?
The idea of being forced to fight mouthbreathers for hours to get to the rank I should be at is a big turn off.
as we all now, SF4 was incredibly unpopular without big influencers peddling it
Judging by this thread, seems the game is dookie. I’ll stick to Tekken 8
We get it. This is like the 40th time you've told us.
This is the first time I’ve posted in a street fighter thread kek

It was a rough two years watching anitrannies ramp up the erosion of the fighting game genre the moment they got the spotlight. If there's at least one good thing SF6 guarantees, it's the burial of the tranime sub-genre and those freaks will never see the limelight again Alhamdullilah
The new green bar is going to take some getting used to, but it's infinitely better than the comeback mechanism that was V-Trigger. Not sure how I like EX moves using that bar instead of meter though.

I fucking live it, each character feels complete and ready to go from match start, you just need to focus on how you use your tools.
Yeah that's also true, but it also means more EX shoryus on wakeup
That's easy to bait though
That's bad for them though, if they use it two times in a row they're already risking burnout.

I love how everyone thinks Jamie is weak. Thanks for the buffs, retards!
I use Guile and I bully every Jamie I see
THIS IS FOR AMERICA, VIETNAMESE SCUM
Unless you have Armor on two layers on your EX palm during 3 drinks or less
you aint doing shit
Jamie is no Yun or Yang
Jamie is weird where he is weak, but his kit is still large enough that he still feels like a full character and his main flaw is getting murdered by guile. If he's the weakest character on full release that's the game in an extremely good spot
every system that uses a secondary resource bar is shit, they should roll back to alpha and just add the modern movement options
