    Nothing.

V.2.0 is the best Animal Crossing game ever. Ganker will invent lies to cope.

    >villagers are an afterthought, boring soulless husks that don’t engage with you at all and just heap praise on you even if you surround their house with garbage or don’t talk to them
    >crafting + resources adds literally nothing to the game besides having a reason for resources to exist
    >can’t craft multiple bait
    >awful online
    >worst item interaction in the series: really hope you like just grabbing things or turning them, that’s all they do
    >least amount of furniture sets in the series
    >the game is more dollhouse/dress up than it is a SoL sim
    >WUH OH
    >week long tutorial, including you wait days just to be able to put down a ladder or cross a river
    >black market for villagers
    >the roost is completely fucking worthless unless you have amiibo cards
    >terraforming is cumbersome with its stupid cliff heights and parameters, like the whole fucking thing will collapse if one tiny back corner isn’t perfectly square
    >have to wait entire days to move buildings, still on a shitty grid system so you can’t place it exactly where you want or put items diagonal
    >villagers share the same dialogue pool, god help you if you have two of the same personality type
    >no nook store upgrades
    >almost no fucking visitors besides the lizard or beaver or third able sister unless you want to just cheat the system and buy a fucking island with it
    >no flea market
    >villager invites to come over are rare and add basically nothing
    >item durability adds literally fucking nothing and just forced you to make new tools
HAHA OH WAIT JUST PAINT THEM A NEW COLOR LOL, ITS FIXED
    >because of durability, gold tools are worthless and just waste a gold ore

It wasn’t a problem in any of the older games

      >because of durability, gold tools are worthless and just waste a gold ore
That's what really pisses me off. The big thing about the Golden Axe in New Leaf is that it's the only one that doesn't break, but now not only does the Golden Axe break in NH, but so do ALL of the golden tools, so they're pretty much taking up space in my storage while I use the regular tools

Focused on stealing shit from games that aren't Animal Crossing while reducing the elements that made people like Animal Crossing in the first place.

They refuse to invest time into making villagers and your relationship with them have any depth. They're hardly much different than the very furniture you collect in this game. Also crafting a shit, breaking tools got old really quick, and the stalk market needs to be killed it's a cancer on the series now.

Nintendo realized they could release the game hideously unfinished to capitalize on being the meme social game everyone will play during funny flu lockdowns and it worked flawlessly.

i've been playing some switch games on emulator and honestly animal crossing feels like it was made for women. Also, wtf was that "choose your style" when choosing gender?

I gotta say that from the games i've played the switch seems to have a lot of fun exclusives unlike the other two consoles that only have shooters and generic shit like that.

They really started to lean in on appealing to women with New Leaf, seeing as though that was the first one to be directed by Kyogoku

Time investment. When is the last time you started a new save ? It takes forever to actually get an island going. Hours / literal days of mashing buttons through repetitive dialogue.

On release it felt like you were getting 20 minutes of gameplay a day before you were capped on things to do.

Unironically, HD graphics makes it the least comfy game in the series. First game still has the comfiest feels and aesthetics in the entire series. Not just aesthetics, but the setting too. Being in a secluded forest surrounded by mountains felt a lot comfier than being on a deserted island, and this is coming from someone who likes tropical settings.

    >No more updates with a lot of things still waiting to be added.
    >Breakable golden tools.
    >Amiibo cards garden gnometrick.
    Otherwise, it's nearly perfect.
