Now that this genre is completely oversaturated, which ones are actually worth playing? I think I've got the best enjoyment-to-price ratio from Halls of Torment so far. Any others that stand out from the crowd?

I keep seeing people say Holocure is better but I don't see it. The large roster of characters feels entirely pointless when they don't even have passives that effect the pick up weapons most of the time anyway so it always ends up feelings too similar no matter which character you pick.

The only ones I enjoyed besides HoT was the original and Holocure. But I was stupid and did the infinite golden egg farm with Maruto Cuts so now he's basically unplayable as he's too strong. Plus I kinda did everything, I'm just waiting for more content.

i looked up army of ruin because I was confusing it with some other one that I heard was pretty shit (I was just confusing it with a different one) but it has a chochin as an enemy so that's cool

Came here to say Halls of Torment. It's pretty fun.
Any recs for ones that have good progression outside of loops? I feel like the upgrades to basic stats are too basic and so it kind of gets old quickly in VS and the achievements and extra stages just feel pointless.
Vampire Survivors can go fuck itself for adding a chud character. I regret buying it. Thankfully it was cheap.
