it has a game record feature but you can just use OBS

the new telemetry also installs outside of geforce experience. Try it out. Install the new driver with nvcleaninstall and then search for the _NvGSTPlugin.dll

The reddit thread explains how to uninstall the telemetry. This post specifically:

I hate disingenuous pricks like you who always raise to the occasion to bootlick for companies/government and praise unironic spying on the populous. You Black folk always fail to comprehend that it's about the principal of the matter and it's a slippery fricking slope for privacy since we're already heading towards a police state as it is.
You are probably just baiting for easy replies but I know there are actual brainwashed idiots who think exactly like what (you) wrote, actual npcs with fallacies of "don't worry about it bro, it only affects criminals anyway". Frick off with your bullshit and stop simping for ~~*big tech*~~.

With big tech stealing data, implementing telemetry, and making way for "advancements"" that do nothing beneficial for the customer but make it harder for self repair, make ownership obfuscated, and reducing freedom everyone loses.

Reminder: if it's a "free" service, YOU are the product
If a multi billion dollar company makes something very accessible, it is not for your benefit and they are getting something out of you. With every feature added comes a cost. And with every necessary dependency for your hardware (in Nvidia's case 100%) they will shoehorn in anything they can get away with until someone with enough social influence calls them out on their shit. You are the frog in the pot being boiled slowly.

where are you getting free graphics cards bro hook me up

Offering drivers for download and software is the free service, GPUs themselves are the tangible product. The dependency is necessary though because you need the "free" service for the paid product.

          actual moron
according to you being able to download the game you bought digitally is a "free service"

            Anonymous

That's a different situation, you do know you can download those drivers even if you don't own the gpu, right? It's literally a free service.
AND downloading games you bought is still a service. Steam is a service platform you can download for free to purchase products. You don't need to buy anything to use Steam nor download drivers.

              single digit iq
you do understand that the reason they specifically made it "free" is because first of all there are no benefits to downloading drivers you don't need just like there is no benefits to stealth rating peanuts in some grocery store when you're allergic to them, second it's very difficult to confirm that you own the card in question without forcing you first to download some sort of app developing and maintaining which also costs money (way more money than hosting files) which your mentally gifted underage ass then would also call a free "service"

              >pay for game
              >can't download it
wow that would be such a successful platform i wonder why nobody is doing it?

you're either underage, black, or a woman, hope not all 3

Why do GPUs even need drivers? Imagine if other electronics worked like that. Oh the toaster you bought didn't get its monthly software update? Enjoy your toast getting burnt to ash.

They have tried that before believe it not, all "smart" devices are a scam if they can be purely internet free and work fine.

      Anonymous

      ...they do?
Nearly all electronic devices nowadays have some kind of smart chip that runs software to control it.
And it's getting worse as big tech pushes the IOT ideal that nobody asked for down your throat.

          Anonymous

Performance with newer titles just tends to be better when drivers are up to date, either because they're specifically optimized for new games, or because the devs optimize their game for the latest drivers since that's what most people use.

    1. Open your task manager and stop this process

    2. Open CMD and type this explorer.exe %WINDIR%System32DriverStoreFileRepository

    3. In your search bar inside the above folder paste this _NvGSTPlugin

    4. Shift+Delete all the _NvGSTPlugin.dll
