OCTOKINO 2

I liked the first game but never got around to finish it since at the end it felt like a slog , but this game is a true masterpiece that fixes all the bad stuff about the first one.

I played about thirty minutes of the demo and fell asleep. I wasn't really getting anything from it. The context surrounding the character I played, the purportedly falsely accused professor, just seemed like nonsense. Nothing really hooked me.

      >Nothing really hooked me.
For me personally it was the graphics and the hughly customizable combat system.
Also , some stories are really good (Hikari's especially in my opinion) , and the amount of side dungeons / content that you have available is pretty overwhelming , especially if you buy the ship from Tropuhopu early

I do like the graphical style, to an extent. I just remember playing Octo1 and never really feeling like the combat was that involving. It felt like filler, like most Square games. Like there was never any risk, and certainly no reward.
Does Octo2 fix this lack of balance?

          >I just remember playing Octo1 and never really feeling like the combat was that involving.
They changed a lot with this game , they basically decided to put more of an emphasis on switching between classes for a specific fight rather than having one secondary for the entire game.
Also , the latent power thing they introduced is pretty damn cool.
          >Does Octo2 fix this lack of balance?
In my opinion it fixed most if not all the problems that the first game had , but you'll be the judge

I've only finished the first batch (Hikari , Castti , Partitio , Agnea) , and from what I've seen they took a completely different direction to how they do their storytelling , as all of them were very good except Agnea's , which was kind of bad. But it's definately 100 times better than the first

literally 0 chance they managed to give all 8 characters compelling, fleshed-out arcs

I found the unlit torch in Flameschurch and the Beastwarden Tomb, and noticed the Shiny Mirror glowing in my inventory, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything, it just tells me nothing happened and that the gods are looking at the dias. I only spotted the mirror at the Tomb and didn't try it at Flameschurch.

I felt the opposite, its like a straight downgrade from 1. Party somehow manages to be even more busted than 1's cast (excluding Osvald and Castti), multiple licenses just let you put the best shit on everyone instead of having to decide who should have what, alot of chapters don't have dungeons and/or are storyshit only, the giant fricking sea in the middle of the map kills the interconnected feel of the first game, and the secret classes being tied to side quests instead of bosses in altars is lame as shit. I still like 2 alot as its like 70% more of the same, but everything new is objectively worse.

I just wish your first hero isn't locked in your main party. I usually try to keep everyone in the same level when I play RPGs, but seeing my first hero by nearly 10 or 15 levels ahead of the others is a bit annoying.

Easiest thing is to just level up more.

You could always use a pomegranate to get your bp up to 5. Use 3 bp on vengeful blade so you can 6 counterattacks/weakness strikes. While you are waiting for your counters to break his shield use abide to up your strength or lychees for your limit break or grapes to heal. Once his shield is broken from your countets and you have at 3bp unleash his limit break or that 1st warrior skills that hits with the Sword multiple times.

It felt like they nerfed the Scholar class at first since in OT1 your spells hit twice naturally and now you need to use up a turn to cast Advance Magic or Alephan's Enlightenment (or use a subclassed Scholar to cast it on another Scholar). But it worked out for the best because the Scholar Class in OT1 was outclassed by the Sorcerer (has all 6 elements x3 hits vs Scholar's 3 elements x2 hits).

Now in OT2 the Scholar class can become the OT1 Scholar by using Advanced magic. If you subclass Osvald as the Arcanist you have access to 5 elements. Still not as good as the OT1 Sorcerer since you don't have access to wind and need a Divine skill applied to you to get x3 hits, but it allows thr Scholar class to stay relevant the whole game. The license feature also allows you to stack Advance magic/Alephan anyway with other characters.

After finishing some of the character's stories and realizing I still had group b to catch on levels and then get everyone stronger for the final dungeon...I just gave up. The risk of this happening again is the reason why I'm not sure I'll get this one, at least not yet

Still suffers from easy repetitive combat until last boss and the secret super boss.
Merchant class is still too overpowered and even more with the assassin hired help.
The 8 main character still have minimal interaction with each other except the last quest.
    Soundtrack is still epic.
Magic is inferior to physical attacks in late game.
It's decent but they didn't learn much from the previous game and I don't see any chance of 3rd game.
Especially the lore note dump in the cave was bad.
Should have been spread trough the 4 locations and accompanied by some sort of flashback cutscenes.

I hate that there's only 4 advanced jobs again. Instead of just reusing the 4 from the first game and making 4 new ones they just replaced the original 4. So once again you will have 4 comparatively gimped party members for the secret final boss. It especially stings because they cut Runelord which was my favorite job design from the original.

Ochette, Castii, Partitio and Osvlad have good enough base job kit with their unique abilities that they don't need any special secondary job.
Instead of runelord you have conjurer which also adds element damage to weapon but to all instead of just himself which is a vast improvement.

The game would have been better if they did an OCTO & PATH group. Everyones chapter 1 would play out largely the same way but would meet the other members of their group at the start of their chapter 2. This would allow them to actually write other party members into the characters story and cutscenes. Then all 8 would meet in the final chapter, kind of a gathering of heroes, to tackle the world ending threat.

They could have had more of those campfire scenes. Doing everyone chapter 1 and then you'd have a scene where everyone introduces themselves to each other as an example.

I don't know if it was because of my party comp in OT1, but I could count the number of inter-party vignettes I got on one hand, whereas in OT2 I get 3-4 of them in every single chapter, not to mention the pair stories.

        Anonymous

I'm pretty sure there were a lot of rules that determines whether you got scenes or not, including party comp you would also only get 1 per tavern visit, and there may have even been some time or quest progression requirements (even if the convo has nothing to do with a specific quest)
There's definitely more in 2 though, plus being able to watch story banter for characters you didn't have at the time is such an obvious thing that should have been in the first game.

what are the bad stuff in ot1?
        should i just pass?

OT1 is great all the way until the superboss, which you'll definitely need to do at least a bit of grinding for, and you also need to complete an easy but lengthy boss rush before each attempt
2 is more polished in pretty much every regard but they're still very similar games.

Arcanist Partitio is pretty good when paired with a dancer, since he can sidestep cheese AND grant partywide reflect. Also, the fact that buffs/debuffs are added on top of their remaining duration is absolutely disgusting in OT2.

Merchant was basically a source of cheap BP and later a cheap party-wide defensive buff

Combined with Runelord it eventually let you give everyone free dodges which is why Runelord Tressa is a meme because she's the only character who can do it

Helps that Runelord in OT1 can be easily acquired by giving your party immunity to status effects (max level Dancer and basic Apothecary) since the Runelord boss is only dangerous if he knocks out your entire party

Mechanically, it's solid, but a common complaint was that every character's story felt like it happened in a vacuum while the other party members fricked off to walk the dog/jerk off/whatever, and finding the scenes where the various party members would actually interact was a pain in the ass.
OT2 fixes this by writing the stories a little differently so that the other three party members could feasibly be hanging around during the story even when they don't actually appear (or forces the main character to be solo when it makes sense), and adds many more side scenes where your party members discuss what just occurred in the story.

Just do your MCs last chapter first.
Then you get switch him/her out and do the other 7 chapters.
That alone will even out your party.

i can't seem to remove my MC, game tells me 'you cannot remove your protagonist from the party'

If you want to fight the final boss, you will need everyone leveled.
HOWEVER, Octopath's battle system is heavily governed by stats, so it's more efficient to stick with the 4 people you like, take them all the way through their stories and into the level 50 range, then load up a low-level party member with late-game gear and powerlevel them on late-game mobs.

yeah, it's a pain in the ass how slow everyone levels, you would think a level 20ish character would level up faster when going to a danger 35 zone

          Anonymous

          >i can't seem to remove my MC
As that anon said, do your MC's (LAST) chapter first
Then you can remove them, it works exactly the same way in 2. I'd recommend just have a team of 4 characters and do all their chapters, then switch to team 2 and do all their chapters, otherwise you'll be grossly overlevelled when doing later characters' routes.
Levelling really isn't that important, it's more about equipment. Always use HP boosting acessories and skills early on, each one is worth like 10 levels in survivability on its own.

Castti's story is undermined by the villain being absolutely comically evil and having zero nuance. As is Temenos's. As is Agnea's. Ochette's story is fine, but it has the extremely shallow human faction and the only reason its ending is remotely strong is because it has overarching implications. Throné's story is pretty fricking bad after D.C. Douglas takes a dive, and it's a constant stream of flashbacks to shit you just saw. It's way too melodramatic even if the final portion is halfway interesting.

Real telling that you resort to calling an observation about a lack of options a "tantrum" too.

I read something about being able to turn off some of the terrible effects in a config file or something. I'd that true? 2.5D is such a weird styly that games like OT make look like utter garbage by smearing cheap effects all over the screen. I can't understand how anyone could think it looks good. The blur alone makes me want to vomit.
I played like 15 hrs of the first but couldn't go on because of how bland it was. I highly doubt this is a 'masterpiece' but I'll give it a shot if I can fix the graphics.

6 stars should have like 15k hp-ish? I guess you can start doing them when you can deal 15k before dying and equipment matters more than levels.

For every star the gap gets larger than the previous one. In my experience 5 has like 7k hp, and 4 has like 3k hp.

        Anonymous

Hard to say for sure, really depends on the build. I was able to take on 6 and a couple 7-tier fights with Hikari by Rest/Latent Power stalling, but I couldn't touch a 5-tier with Osvald.
You basically just have to scout it out. Out of all the fight options, I think only Ochette damages rep so there's no big deal.

Multiply the amount of stars by about 4 and that should give you a good idea of minimum levl, so 5 starts = 20, 10 stars = 40.
Granted, I found Osvald muggings to be quite a bit harder than duels or ochette provokes, so maybe multiply by 5 for him unless you have a really good, non-magic build.

Thanks I guess I'll try and see if I can tackle the higher level ones. Yeah I do feel like Osvald's the hardest if you don't build him right for muggings

Haven't finished it yet but pretty much every chapter has banter between party members. The individual stories themselves are much better than Octopath 1's with great side characters. Kinda makes me wish some of them could be your party members instead lol. I love Temenos and Crick's interactions.

no, the same problem exists and is supposed to be covered by both crossover chapters featuring 2 party members and little skits that have no voice acting and occur at specific times between 2 people, but the skits are all extremely shallow and the crossover chapters are all short/not that great

I remember each character had some weird overworld skill in the first game and they all felt super just thrown on without much thought to them and I remember not liking them at all.

Did they scrap that shit or overhaul it to not make it dumb as hell?

i argue that the Wellgrove and Rai Mei chapters were weak. his final chapter also has him mention the magic of friendship every other line which was already tiring before he was spamming it. Agnea also has the "friends come together" to help at the end but it had humor and was done in a way that reflected her journey well.

You can't modify an enemy's turn order when they recover from Break. Leghold/Agnea's unique skill are great for maximizing the number of consecutive turns you get in order to break a boss. It can also be dangerous if the boss gets a ton of attacks in a row.

I made her a Cleric for the move twice a turn divine skill and a partywide shield with her latent ability. She's mostly on Hikari buffing/SP restore duty and using her EX skill to push the enemy's turn order to the back.

      Anonymous

Dancer base kit is awful, what really makes it come together are Agnea's followers, get a +BP or +MP follower.
For her second class I woudl either go thief for double hit dagger skill + debuffs or inventor for elemental breaks and more support stuff. Merchant might be cool too even if donate BP doesn't work with her latent, does hired help work with dancers buff duration?

  93. 1 year ago

In what ways was the combat and challenge improved? That's my #1 point when it comes to JRPGs.

      Anonymous

+ Dancer gets an additional effect for their dances based on which NPC you've convinced to follow you, which makes them infinitely more useful because they can restore SP/BP while doing their buff b***h duties
+ Reapplying a buff or debuff adds to the current duration (can't remember if OT1 did this)
+ The special classes are a bit more balanced and don't straight up invalidate some of the base classes
+ Every character has special EX skills that only they can use
+ Every character has another "latent ability" gauge that lets them use a busted as frick ability, like giving you max BP or spreading a targeted ability to everybody
+ You can get licenses that allow up to three people to subclass as one of the base jobs simultaneously (special jobs are limited to one person)
      + Partitio's theme

I think the difficulty part is subjective, since I grabbed some of the prestige classes before fighting any of the Chapter 4 bosses in OT1 and beat the dogshit out of them, so I didn't find them to be that difficult.

      >Like at the start of any JRPG, I need money, and lots of it.
Using your money in a smart way is more important than having a lot of it - make sure you're not buying small incremental upgrades and only making purchases that will make a significant difference in the effectiveness of your character. I used a +20 critical stat rule when actually purchasing upgrades.

If you steal from townspeople you can often get the same stuff for free within a tier or better, so much sure you steal from everyone in a town before you buy anything. Around level 30 or so Throne had a high enough success rate on stealing big valuables from people in the mid-tier cities that I never had money issues again.

Since I alredy have four 60+ characters while still being on
      >chapter 1
what I usually do in random encounters is
      >fight at night
      >have initiative on char that gets 2 BP at the start of the fight
      >transfer 2 BP to Throne
      >use Aeber's Reckoning with Throne for 20 000+ damage
      >this ends every single random encounter
In boss (longer) fights I usually use BP for healing (no more than 2) and ONLY for breaking if I have 3 or more BP on a character. If not, I just attack normally (plus, some skills hit 2 or 3 times) and then use all BP when the boss is broken.

I honestly do not pay attention much to BP in boss fights. Restoring BP is never my priority in boss fights.

20k in 45+ areas, 60k and more in weaker areas.
Your Speed is affecting damage dealt by Aeber's Reckoning, as stated in description. Get high speed, either with consumables, or equipment, aand even +50 SPD skills. Just pump up that Speed and you're good to go!

I got through most of SMT 5 and stopped...for some reason I can't remember.

The Etrian solos were pretty fun/frustrating. As always it was mainly making sure I had as much passive damage/healing as possible, since my action economy is severely crippled compared to normal, even garbage regen/free damage is gold. Honestly even if I wasn't playing Agnea, I'd probably try to finish her story first solely for the Battle-Tested Shield. That by itself justifies rushing a solo through her story as soon as reasonably possible.

What saved my ass in SMT5 were almighty skills, especially those that drain both HP and MP. The last 1/4 of the game I was probably just leeching HP from enemies and that's it. Even Shiva.
Didn't beat Demifiend, and I was on normal. I tried doing solo hard, but that's just frustrating. Maybe I'll do it one day...but probably not.
And yes, I will spend 60 euros on poorly remastered EO 1/2/3 this year. 🙁

The game bukkakes you with JP, so figure out the subjobs that will help you break the boss quickly and use those. It's also helpful to have someone who can multi-hit with Warrior or Hunter subjob, and turn manipulation skills like Leghold Trap can be helpful for buying yourself more time.

it's a game where your damage goes up exponentially as you load up on buffs, load debuffs on enemies - this is how you see those ridiculous drastic measures attacks on Castti
Thanks to that you can win against bosses way above your level, you just slam down 70% of their HP in one break phase and bypass their low HP mechanics altogether. It's just a matter of surviving long enough to setup the above combos. Getting these combos going is far more efficient than grinding and then just using basic b***h attacks

It doesn't require a crazy build, just a strong axe and a couple debuffs. Highly recommend the enfeebling amulet from the mines dungeon in the wildlands. The turn before Castii is able to attack the boss while it is broken, hazardous concoct the speed+evasion and critical down herbs. The enfeebling amulet will make them last until next turn and those 3 debuffs alone make Drastic Measures do insane damage. Even crazier damage if you can get this off in the first few turns with Temenos' night debuff.

The true final boss is also IMO a much better take on the "party coming together for the last boss" thing Galdera had going on in the last game, and doesn't have that fricking boss rush you have to do every single attempt.
Not that Galdera himself isn't ready for round 2 mind you

Love how strong they all felt together. Using Sealtige and Diffusion for skills to work on all 8 members felt amazing.

Wtf??? How is your reckoning attack doing 20k damage? Mine barely reached even past 1k at times.

Damage is also increased by in battle speed buff. So use her latent to set up the thief skill for speed boost on yourself, then Aeber's after that. Highly recommend Lost Tribe's Knife with Blessing in Disguise.

Around that level as well and IDK if I got lucky but mostly just playing around with the job system and working with conditionals that boost your damage seem to work. Around that level armsmaster hikari for instance should have no trouble breaking damage cap on a broken enemy with either the sword skill(easiest rusty weapon to get) or his latent power. Now that I got the axe it's the easiest conditional to meet so he averages 15K per break, more if I have latent power to abuse the double slash that gives him an extra turn Hell even my osvald that I barely pay attention to aside from slotting in better staves regularly hits 4-6K on a break just from an advanced magic spell or elemental barrage.

      Anonymous

I typically try to get the boss's shield to the point where only one party member needs to attack to break it, and then be ready to buff with the other 3 so I do big damage during the subsequent turn when they're broken

EX: Osvald breaks something with a spell, Throné debuffs with armor corrosive, Castti uses poison axe to combo with drastic measures next turn and Hikari abides.

There's a lot of ways to set up with this game, gotta play around with some skills

It's fine to replace the ones with the skills you don't use often, but I believe the best ones are the lance, axe and staff (you're not getting a better staff for the armsmaster anyway). I gave Hikari a better since I'm mostly using Brand's Blade and Hienka anyway

      Anonymous

Depends on what you use or what you feel works. The attack effects seem to trigger on skills too so it's not a bad choice for the sword for instance, while the conditional boost to the axe skill is piss easy to meet so it's worth keeping around as a damage skill.

A step ahead aside, any of the multi-hit weapon skills for hikari help with breaking and the dude doesn't really need much help hitting damage cap once an enemy is broken. He's also obscenely tanky by default even more so if you slot things like the defense rings on him so without much setup vengeful blade counter spam also works, even funnier if they decide to multihit and get slapped with all your charges of vengeful blade in one turn. Other thing to consider would be stuff to boost latent power generation since getting an extra attack off in a break round is fairly useful.

I know. We have some anons criticizing the game for it being to easy to over-level. Some say the bosses are too easy. Some say you have to grind too much in this game.

There are so many conflicting complaints. Well no shit if you are level 30 and trying to kill a level 45 boss it is going to be hard. Well no shit if you are level 68, found/stolen most powerful equipment, you are going to steamroll a level 45 boss.

If you go to every town, steal/mug/reset cheese and get every character and all the hidden jobs before starting anyone's chapter 2 the game will be too easy. If you dive right into the chapters without any exploring of the world and are under the recommended levels then of course you will struggle.

That part was crazy. The thing is they are still weak to the elements so they take good damage, but don't lose shield points. My strategy was running Sealtige on Temenos to overheal the party and just eating their counters at that part. Then in one turn I used the Scholar Divine on Both Osvald and Temenos and used Max boosted Fire attack and light nuke. Was able to kill them without breaking their shields. Another way I did it on another attempt was using the judge from Timberain Summon to debuff them, buff yourself, Castii concoct to debuff them, use item to buff Castii's attack, then next turn Sealtige + Drastic Measure to one shot with them with shields even though they aren't weak to Axe anymore.

Oh yeah, definetly grabbing as much passive nonsense as I can, far from my first solo run. Solos in general are some of my favorite challenges. I've done like 6 Etrian odyssey solos across 5 and Nexus. And I didn't do Hero because it's too obvious of a solo pick.

how do you deal with solo Agnea and Ochette since they have bosses that can delete one of your characters? go fast and pray they don't do it?

                Anonymous

I'll deal with it when I get there. I do, however, remember bosses in OT1, with the exception of Darius, would not use their ejection moves if you only had one living character remaining, so I'm hoping it works the same here.

the hardest solo in OT1 was Olberic
it's down to the bosses, and he had the hardest chapter4.

I remember reading one guy's site who did true solos(as in, used that character and only abilities that were in their class, so no subjobs ever for example) for everyone but Ha'anit and 2 of the subjobs(he used cheats to do a Runemaster and Armsmaster solo).

Runemaster, Armsmaster, and Therion were the absolute godking shitstomper solos and it was zero contest.. Tress and Olberic were close seconds.

It was Sullla as a matter of fact. His FFV write ups got me into doing FFV solos and being the first person to do an oracle solo, and take Blue Mage solo through the Sealed Temple in the GBA version

Been on the fence for this one, since I liked the first game but felt the party interaction was weak enough to knock it down from good to average. Does the second game improve it somewhat? Doesn't need to be Tales of tier near constant banter.

You sound like a PR stooge.
    >fixes all the bad stuff
    That's a demonstrable lie.
-The enemy weakness system is still a crapshoot
    -the writing is still garbage
-the field/level/dungeon design is still borderline nonexistent
-the battles still drag on for ten times longer than they should
-the graphics are still all wonky
It's literally the same game just with different characters.

      Anonymous

There will always be people that exist that don't like certain features.

The enemy weakness/BP/Break system is something that the majority of people of turn-based jrpg fans liked about OT1.

As for writing, what jrpgs don't have garbage writing? What are some examples? No matter what was written ir how well it was written, anyone can easily say 'bad writing.

The dungeon design is about what you get from most turn-based jrpgs like Final Fantasy 1 to X, Bravely Default, Dragon Quest. Dead-end's, treasure chests, and boss's at the end are standard jrpg dungeon fare unless you are playing action rpgs that let you jump or control your character like Link in Zelda.

Most battles can be completed in less than 20 seconds once you learn enemies weaknesses. With evasive maneuvers, you only have about 3 to 5 encounters in between towns. You actually have to out effort into selecting the right attacks if you want to fight efficiently/quickly. It was designed in response to "spam attack" problem that most jrpg random encounters had.

The graphics are love it or hate it, as 2D-HD is as a whole. For a throwback rpg the graphics are fine. If it got realistic Witcher 3 graphics and action combat they might as well not even call it Octopath 2. There are lots of rpgs that are story focused, action-oriented, and have realistic graphics. Octopath wasn't made for the people that 'need' those features in their rpgs.

Octopath has its own identity now that separates it from other series. If you say Dragon Quest needs to get rid of Toriyama artstyle, turn-based combat, funny-looking monsters, and onomatopoeia spell names, you may as well be playing a game from a different series.

      >Weakness system is a crapshoot
      Braindead post.
90% of fire enemies weak to ice/ice enemies weak to fire.
      aquatic creatures weak to electric
flying enemies almost always weak to bows.
weaknesses are always displayed in order so if you have a dagger weakness exposed and there is one box to the left of it, that means it is weak to sword or polearm
inversely, if ice is exposed as the last weakness, you know its not weak to electric, wind, light, or dark.
      Not that fricking hard

I don't know why people keep asking or expecting them to abandon the core idea of the 8 separate stories. the game's not for you and that's fine.

      Anonymous

Just for clarification, I thoroughly enjoyed the separate stories and the 'lower stakes' in most of them disregarding a bunch of the overarching shit going down like Galdera and such, but having characters be just a LITTLE more involved in what's happening would be REALLY nice. Pub scenes were very cute, and I'd just love to see more like those.

        Anonymous

I think they feel more involved than in the previous game because there is more party interactions in general (more travel banter, the cross chapters, tavern banter) and the final chapter that features all of them is clearly tied to most of the individual stories. Some people will still think it's not enough but it personally bothered me way less than in the first game.

Perfect, that's enough for me. I'll pick it up while doing groceries tomorrow and then become an useless blob for the rest of the week.

The true final boss is also IMO a much better take on the "party coming together for the last boss" thing Galdera had going on in the last game, and doesn't have that fricking boss rush you have to do every single attempt.
Not that Galdera himself isn't ready for round 2 mind you

I think both concepts are interesting, you pretty much have to switch parties in the first phase of the final boss too

what they are trying to do failed. the game failed. If they insisted on doing 8 seperate stories they should have given each character their own NPCs like in most characters chapter 1

not at all. you can give everyone subjobs to patch up holes, and you can just swap out to another party if you want.

There's a demo available if you wanna try out a couple of the characters. Subjobs also allow characters to be quite versatile in what roles they can fill, so you've got a lot of options at your disposal.

Hunter sub was great for Partitio's final boss, where I could just spam the hunter divine skill and murder the adds before they caused too much trouble.

Okay so I think I have it all figured out.
All eight character stories have been beaten so it’s just a matter of pulling back the veil in the true final story. Soon.

There’s an evil mastermind currently unrevealed who’s tying most of the main villains together. Hikari’s chapter 1 had a journal written by a nihilistic weirdo named Oboro, who’s probably the mastermind in question.
All the relevant villains have a tie to the “Shadow” in some fashion, although two character stories seem to be completely unrelated. Probably.

    >Ochette
The Dark Hunter and the Darkling
    >Castti
Trosseau (maybe, since his nihilism seems to match up with Oboro’s journal to some extent)
    >Throne
Claude (because frick it the guy is basically a vampire in every way except being a vampire)
    >Osvald
Harvey (managed to with someone’s aid discover Shadow as a proper seventh element and use it to synthesize the One True Magic)
    >Partitio
Nobody his story is actually completely irrelevant to the Shadow theme and literally all his villains turned over a new leaf in the end
    >Agnea
    Same as Partitio.
    >Tenemos
Kaldena (explicitly tried using the Shadow but fricked it up)
    >Hikari
Mugen (considered the Shadow to be a good thing to the point he willingly turned himself into a horrible monster just to prove Hikari wrong)

It’s probably resurrecting Vide so he can get murdered in a true final boss fight anyways
