Old games just feel better played on a CRT and preferrably, real hardware. Emulation just can't compete.

Emulation just can't compete. You have to feel it yourself.

it's not like emulators make these old displays pointless and if you care about pixel art shit you can put on a singular filter that pretty much does the color blending

I wish. My eyesight has gotten worse, and it's hard to find good CRT screens that are larger than the one in your picture. I need a larger screen if I'm going to use a CRT because I do not want to sit up close to the screen and fuck my eyes up even more. But it's very hard to find bigger screens locally, in my area at least.

I have a few CRTs but I don't use them that often. I'd rather emulate 3D games in HD, and I like playing 2D games on handhelds.

Yes I still care about using a CRT television especially for low-resolution games such as PS2 and PS1 games. Super Nintendo as well. But I am this guy

I wish. My eyesight has gotten worse, and it's hard to find good CRT screens that are larger than the one in your picture. I need a larger screen if I'm going to use a CRT because I do not want to sit up close to the screen and fuck my eyes up even more. you're not missing out by not having one, but I like the novelty of it. Every single game feels different on a CRT, its fun to see which are improved and which are worse(most of them).
Just a random example, TOTK just flat out felt nicer to look at on a CRT as it helped with the aliasing. Cry of Fear just feels right on a CRT. Even if I only use it a few times a year it's nice to have at least one tucked away.

as soon as I figured out how to emulate on my family PC I stopped giving a shit about old hardware, I just don't play old pixelated games at retardedly high internal resolutions and it looks good enough. never use filters in emulators either.

I think people got tired of crt talk because of the elitist. Every hobby has them. Best way of doing things is not usually the easiest way, and it is retarded to insist that all the people should do it like you do. If youvwant to play god damn mario bros you just boot up emulator and play with keyboard. If you get passionate about it, you will decide how much further you should take it.
