Yeah, because there's 4000 PS1 games. It would be impressive if there weren't 200+ good games. The N64 thing is true: it has a strong quality ratio to games released. Saturn's probably the most impressive in this regard but nobody plays Saturn games.
the N64 has PLENTY of reasons to shit on it, lack of good games isn't one of them, lack of games overall compared to the playstation 1? absolutely. did the hardware age like dogshit with the Vaseline filter? again absolutely, was cartridges a terrible idea in hindsight? yeah. was a tiny texture cache also a dumb idea? yep.
Anything worth playing on the N64 was damn near an all-timer, and the rest was hot garbage. It's the most volatile system ever made. I swear the only "just okay" game was Jet Force Gemini

Blast Corps would be another just okay one, yeah. Lots of good ideas, but the execution is a bit lacking
