Mage and Thief are both really good but at the same time their entire kit is built around just buffing their very first skill, nothing else. They're very strong but kinda boring to play. israelite has good moves but you don't unlock his full funcionality until near the end of the game. Warrior is the only class that feels like every ability has a useful application.
It was pretty fun. Don't expect more out of it than what it is. It's a game about a cartoon.

It's a casual RPG, but that's intentional. It's meant first and foremost for the fans of the show and the easter eggs in it, plus being able to explore the town, make it worth the play time.
I don't like how the second half of the game becomes more plot heavy. I would've preferred if the entire game was just mini-plots with the overarching story about the kids playing fantasy tying it all together.

The second game would be more fun if the combat were faster. I criticized the first for being too easy and uninvolved only to realize as I played the second that it worked for the game, because quick combat lets you get in and out of fights fast and progress the story at a good rate. Slow combat made everything drag and makes jokes seem less connected because instead of one quick fight between them its more like two or three minutes of grid combat.
South Park operates in that kind of uncanny valley where everything has to move fairly quickly so you don't dwell too much on any one thing and can just keep rolling with each new joke. Slowing it all down even a small amount breaks the flow too much. And the annoying thing on top of all that is the new combat isn't really much better than the previous game when you get right down to it. It's got more options and is slightly more difficult, but its still easy and you still usually default to one or two spam skills and an ultimate. It was fun to have a larger party though.

Stick of Truth is a slightly above mediocre game overall, but it's a fricking masterpiece as a game that sets realistic goals, and meets them exactly as intended or better. It set out to make a game that played like an episode or arc of South Park, and it feels that way. It set out to have straightforward RPG mechanics reminiscent of Paper Mario, while doing its own thing, and it succeeded.
This is the kind of game that should be studied by indie developers. No feature bloat or kitchen sink syndrome, quirks exist for as long as they need to then leave when they're done, it has its own identity on top of what it references, it doesn't shoot for the moon, it shoots for a tall building, and hits a tall building dead on, and has detailwork done to a degree that you know the game and project was loved.

Difficulty crumbles to dust towards the end but it's one of the best adaptions of a TV show to a videogame ever created.
