Region came under the rule of the Paldean Empire 2000 years ago
Emperor was a dictator and had zealous belief in treasure resting in the Great Crater of Paldea
Emperor sent people in droves to find treasure to rival Paldea's neighboring countries
Paldean Empire began to collapse 1000 years ago
Time period called the Great Age of Exploration
So gamefreak now resorted to stealing from aot? That's just sad

MORE HISTORY CLASS LORE:
Great Era of Exploration began 2000 years ago when the land was taken by the Paldean Empire
Paldean Empire fell into decline since too many resources were being used on attempting(and failing) to find the treasure of Area 0
800 years ago the Empire and its surrounding nations united into one entity to form Paldea as we know it today
This is when the Academy was established
200 years ago a group of explorers claimed to reach the depths of the Crater
It was made up of the finest minds and battlers in Paldea, and led by someone named Heath.
Heath was the one who wrote the Scarlet book upon the Area Zero Expedition's return
People thought what was written in the book was so absurb that they wrote Heath off as a liar
Now the Scarlet Book is treated as schlock
HISTORY OF THE TERASTAL PHENOMENON CLASS
Tera Orbs originated from Area 0
After the Expedition Team more people kept going down there
140 years ago people started seeing pokemon bathed in light there
However, initially when these Tera mons were brought to the surface the light faded and it remained a mystery
10 years ago Professor Sada unraveled the mystery that the energy from the crystals in Area 0 causes the phenomenon
Sada then developed the Tera Orb and spread the tech
Clavell was on the team as well
Once upon a time there was a king who liked collecting treasure(this is a fairy Tale Raifort tells you)
He liked treasures from other countries
One day a merchant from the East heard this rumor and came to meet the King
The Merchant laid out 4 treasures in front of the King. A Vessel, A sword, a set of tablets, and a set of beads
King Showered the merchant in coins and claimed the treasures
Tablets were wooden and used as a medium to write on in the East
At the time paper was already being used instead in Paldea, but the King valued the tablets due to what was written on them(unknown)
The King obtained these 4 treasures and that same night his castle was reduced to rubble by dawn
The Treasures were actually pokemon
As the pokemon became passed from human hand to human hand as treasures they became tainted by hubris and greed
After coming in contact with the immense greed of the King, they awakened as disasters and rampaged out of control
King called fierce trainers to assist him and they barely won the battle against the Perils
They were then sealed away
Explains the whole "why are they chinese?" thing well.
True.
Gen 10 is for China, and China has cool folklore we will be in for a treat coolbros. Goofygays need not apply.

Where did you find this one?
History class
So let me get this straight.
Heath was like those old sailors that told tall tales about sea monsters in the new world, except it was about absurd Pokemon in the crater.
A few decades later the terastal phenomenon is discovered, appearing seemingly out of nowhere.
In the modern day, Sada/Turo harness the power of tera orbs and build their "time machine".
And Pokemon that just so happen to match Heath's descriptions start popping out.
Is that the gist of it?
Yes.
This is exactly why people believe in the whole "Paradox Pokemon are actually Tulpa" theory.
The endgame also gives a heavy hint towards this in Arvens sidequest with him going "how come there are paradox mons in this 200 years old book if my mum build the time machine less than 10 years ago?" The illustration of paradox Suicune/Virizion downright says "we made this one up based on the monsters we saw in the zone" but from the datamine we know they will be real mons in the DLC. The unknown legendary being a wish granter makes also sense from a meta perspective, zone null is paradisaical filled with pseudo legendaries, rare mons like white Floette and there are massive clusters of items every 5 steps, you as the player are literally lured by the unknown Pokemon. One of the book entries also describes Heath having a dream where something spoke to him and the picture of that page looks like a schematic for the inside of the "time machine", the legendary literally gave the instructions to "upgrade" itself.
The whole lore is a G-rated lovecraft story of a sleeping god luring and whispering to people.
Heath 100% will be in the DLC. Time travel or something
>empire and many other nations united
>most of the towns are 1 street long
>one of them is just the fricking gym building
LOL not believable whatsoever
>2000 years
Firs time event related to the past doesn’t happen 3000 years ago?
The Unova lore regarding the twin princes and the Original Dragon is from 2500 years ago
Is this lore from the game or is OP posting fanfiction?
Its from the game. You learn it from the history class you can attend in the academy.
How large is the post game area? And can you reach the bottom or are they going full on MiA and we can only go to the "first level"?
You go all the way to the bottom on your first visit.
First visit limits you to mountless foot travel, postgame lets you really explore.
If it does well it will likely get a 3rd version, not a DLC.
Seems like the kingdom is only successful because of the collapse of all the other kingdoms in the world thousand years earlier
