The only time I ever had fun with this game is as when I used the talking Fire sword unique, insanely liberating to just have a good weapon from the start of the game.

That might explain why everything gets made less and less fun over time, shit things never get fixed or given only the softest of touches, while nerfs and monster buffs are deployed via shotgun, and the game is exclusively balanced around the sweatiest streamers. What the frick gave you the impression that he wants to remove crafting? They've been riding the crafting train for the majority of the game's lifetime. Hell, from the word go, considering "currency" items are crafting components first.
