How viable is kitsune and the Nine-Tailed Heir?
Was thinking about giving it a try during my next run.
Kitsune is fine, all races are viable. Nine-Tailed Heir is bad, but it's bad for a sorceror, so it's still viable, just sub-optimal.
Nine-tailed heir sucks since it affects your bloodline as a sorcerer effectively gimping you (making you normal powered instead of overpowered). In actual Pathfinder Kitsune Trickster is the best Rogue archetype purely for the reason of making CHA a guaranteed dump stat and still being the party face. This makes it doubly important if you intend to go Arcane Trickster since you will need the INT for casting.
Kitsune’s Guile (Ex)
At 1st level, a trickster relies on her intellect as much as her personality. She adds her Intelligence modifier on Bluff, Diplomacy, Disguise, and Sense Motive checks.

If you mean changing your early evil mythic path, then you can do it regardless of whether the succ is even in your party. your redemtion has nothing to do with anything really, you just arbitrary choose to change it to legend or golden dragon

The flags for it triggering are actually kind of fucked up, I triggered it because I beelined to the library as I didn't do it last playthrough, doing that makes it trigger real fast.
Of course, I could just cheese it because you can save/reload entering areas as sometimes it doesn't trigger even if you're +3 days.

Yep. It's an extremely strong spike in overall damage right when you get it and proceeds to become even stronger end game.
This is even more the case now that bite stacking isn't a thing anymore and SPAs getting removed from availability for greater enduring spells means that straight 10 Dragon Disciple's shapeshift loses a lot of it's daily power now.
So you're only looking at 4 attacks (2 claws, 1 bite, 1 gore) without it. Which obviously can't compete with shifter iterative natural weapon attacks. The old path of taking a bunch of fighter levels for weapon specialization on your claws is far inferior to taking 6 levels of shifter for fury.
Mind you none of this is "needed" on most difficulties and your 4 attacks can make you whole. The reason I always go DD however is for dragon form to augment my character with 2 wing attacks for a total of 6 natural attacks.

Ah, I didn't even realize it used to work on SLAs. It's really too bad Owlcat hates greater enduring spells, the system was designed for 3-4 fights between rests but nobody plays the game like that. i have a question, can you worship two deities at the same time as a cleric and Paladin or is just not possible?
In the lore it's possible, godclaw is an example of 5 deities wrapped up into one. Queen of night is 4 devils that each are a little below demi-god. Mechanically you only get the benefits of one religion, you don't get all 5 weapons of godclaw deities or domains from all of them but you can worship Iomedae and Torag at the same time, you'd just have to choose one as a patron.

The companions are there to carry my stuff and add some degree of randomness to the game, I want them to cast spells, use abilities, maybe race to see who get more kills.

In Baldur's Gate I have the benefit of playing solo but with companions to amuse me.
In Pathfinder I play with companions but I feel solo because I need to order them each single round.

It's like two different people with no contact with each other wrote each, same with Wenduags romance and questline since I don't think the writers wanted her to seem like a schizo.

For like 6 first levels of spells he is a haste and blur dispenser. Then depending on you specifications and schools you like, you start to build shit. There are good offensive spells in the first 6 levels but nothing nuclear.

Until you get fireball / lightning bolt, the only spells you're allowed to cast are grease (makes the enemy trip and fall) and glitterdust (blinds enemy)
Sorcerers excel with control spells like Grease, Phantasmal Web, and Acid Fog. Damage wise, they generally provide support - like finishing off low health mobs with Magic Missile or softening groups with Fireball. Theyre simply not that great at dealing damage due to how Pathfinder works. Even burst damage spells like Hellfire Ray are way better used with certain other classes as theyre specifically built for getting the most out of casting those specific types of spells. Just because a spell is in your spellbook doesnt mean its good on your class. Other classes can have that same spellbook which is why seemingly shit spells like Shocking Grasp are there bc they work well on other classes.
Touch spells are for classes like Magus, where you can strike and cast on the same turn.

They still ignore most of the damage from my weapons. Valerie, Octavia, and Tristan straight up can't hurt them. And Ekun (with the bow from the troll fortress) and my MC (with a +1 frost falchion) hit them for less than 10 damage

Whenever I had her in my party and rested, she would still be tired or exhausted, no matter how much I rested. So I had to bench her, since she's no good when her stats are nuked into the crator by exhaustion.
octavia should have acid splash by default which has infinite uses. its buried in the spell menu so probably not seeing it.

Fast bombs and rapid shot, only problem is your burn through bombs really quickly. Use targeted admixture on single targets. Take force bombs for crowd control.

Be careful with that, not all the ranged feats work with bombs so double check before you take them. Only ones I know for sure work is rapid shot and precise strike.

BG1 is an excellent game that you should try. If you really don't want to, you can skip it since BG2 recaps a bit, but you'll miss out on character progression, character stories, and most importantly, tomes.

Pure gendarme and cavalier of the paw are strong, multiclass potential with other riding classes to get feats and bonus abilities, dip with beast rider to get any pet you want.
You can also multi class with disciuple pf the pike for non-pet builds if you want to be quirky.
Learn to treat the pet as another party member and buff/raise accordingly, and you will do well.
Charges are still a bit janky, but much better than the first few months

Ray caster damage build. Sword of Heaven boost, and later sun marked per ray is good. And you have casts of bolt of justice too to throw around.
Shifter. Can be tanky, good offense and angel spells make you immune.
Cavalier. All the buffs , sword of heaven and abolish make the charge damage even juicier

Probably gonna do 2 playthroughs at minimum of WOTR since im currently doing my 2nd one on Kingmaker while I wait for Owlcat to drop all the DLC content and stop breaking the game. Mutation warrior or two handed warrior from fighter, mad dog or instinctual rager from barb, Gendarme or cavalier of the paw cavalier, Sword Saint or Arcane rider magus, Primalist or bloodrider Bloodrager, Vanilla or Martyr Paladin, Demonslayer or Freebooter Ranger, Deliverer or Spawn Slayer.
All will work pure class with strength martial, half of them use heavy armor.
To expand on that,rogue/viv builds, crusader cleric, oracle builds, warpriest etc also work, but they either feel more underwhelming, need more dips or have too much spellcasting power.
Azata needs a while to get going for martials unless you have midnight isles dlc for a certain broken ring (but that matrters mroe for higher difficulties)
for angel it's Crusader angel and for Azata it's mutation warrior or 16 Vivasectionist/4 instinct warrior

Signifer is kinda pointless, but can be thrown on clerics with no loss, and various martial spellcaster builds.
Dragon disciple is for any spontaneous caster who goes melee and wanst stat boosts(4 levels).
Elkdritch knight can be used to boost bab of various classes (like eldritch scoundrel for example) or make a wizard into martial, but they require decent planning.
Loremaster can be used with any spellcasting class well. Amazing value.
Stalwart defender is for TSS or a few other heavy armor builds, where you devote everything to it. Kinda boring.
Arcane trickster is for ray casters (usually wizard/sorcerer base, but you can get creative).
Winter witch is good normally, but ascendant element kinda kills appeal. Can be fun for a caster shamn or different witch flavor.
Mystic theurge can work if you pick angel or lich and merge spellbooks with one class, but it is too much of a pain to handle.
Student of war requires too much work and investment to make mind over metal work. I guess a smart fighter build or swoord saint could work, but meh.
Do not bother with assassin.

WOTR is so disappointing in so many ways. I pretty much sped through Act 6 using Toy Box's Kill Everything On Screen button - the game had lost all challenge completely and I was so bored. Owlcat's approach to encounter density is baffling and utterly tiresome after 50 hours, let alone 100+. I#m not even going to comment on the rage-inducing 'strategic layer' that the game has.
What's the matter anon? You don't like having 20 extra enemies on screen and all of them getting inflated stats?
We're all aware that Devil is an underdeveloped path with very little content, but is it at least any fun/strong mechanically?
Hellfire ray at will IS fun.And ssince you retain the previous mythic ranks, you have bane or zippy magic to help.
Plus emulating sword of heaven/demon rage basic buffs feels nice. Hell seals are an interesting diea, but awkward execution
The trial you are subjected is an interesting scene (as aeon at least)
You also get a banger theme and one of the best speeches to rouse the army.
But that is it.
You get few unique abilities overall to play with, and not enough scenes/unique reactions to make it worth it. Late game paths are lame overall, but legend has more unique reactions and fun things to do iwth 20 extra levels, and swarm is an extreme departure on events and npc reactions at least

As nearly every modern game nowadays, the amount of woke shit in it can be counted on one hand and is so superficial that it might as well amount to nothing while its main goal is to pander to the screeching minority without alienating the rest of the community too much.
tldr Ignore those few initial woke shit dialogues in the very beginning of the game. There's literally no more of it later down the road.

I was curious so I looked it up and found conflicting information from PF where they are sometimes shown with plantigrade (human) feet while other times with digitigrade feet.

I simply wonder about the inconsistency. Making them digitigrades would make them more unique from other races which I don't see as a bad thing. I can see them however not making them digitigrades so they wouldn't have to worry about making a different model(s) for feet/legs.

I just wanted a comfy RPG but everything is a minmaxing nightmare. I love building characters but I'm not a fan of the feat system in pathfinder and every fight being stacking 800 buffs until your attributes are in the hundreds.
Maybe I'll just run through the game once on lower difficulty.

What kind of stuff are you having trouble with? The PF feat system is a bit of a mess between feat chains and feat groups. The game UI only exacerbates it. You shouldn't really need to go all out buffing unless you're playing on Core+ but bubblebuffs help a lot.

Use toybox to tweak the gameplay to your liking.
Such as resetting spells, HP etc.
I recall there's also a way to create a template for applying all buffs or something along those lines.

I asked the same thing myself. A lot of combat prep is a chore, especially when you've to do it over and over again for basically the entirety of the game.
I can only assume that some people enjoy that kind of thing.
Yeah ok you put it selectable so everyone is happy. But it's not like a nude mod or something nobody asked, everyone is knowledgeable of how much an assle it is. With the angel cleric i had 14 buffs to use and those were just the aoe.
