Phil Spencer wants to buy Nintendo

Imagine every Nintendo game being on game pass. Native PC ports. Sounds pretty sweet, doesn't it?

No developer on earth is able to make a better Pokémon game than Gamefreak using the engine, budget and deadline provided to them.

Its co-owned three ways by TPC, Gamefreak, and Nintendo. They all have a say and get profits from it. Microsoft would have to buy all three of them to fully own Pokemon.

            Anonymous

The TPC is comprised of Nintendo, GF and Creatures, who all have veto power on anything Pokemon. If MS acquires GF and its TPC voting rights, they could theoretically wienerblock any attempt at a Pokemon video game as long as it's not on their platform.

          Common misconception.
First of all TPC was created by Nintendo, Gamefreak, and Creatures Inc. to handle merchandise and stuff. It is in no way above those three.
Secondly, Nintendo owns a very large part of Creatures Inc. so they own more of Pokemon than Gamefreak.
Finally, Gamefreak can only make Pokemon games if Nintendo publishes them. Meanwhile Nintendo can make pokemon games without Gamefreak.

Microsoft has tried to buy both Nintendo and Valve many times. Naturally they never succeeded.
    >Steve [Ballmer, ex-Microsoft CEO] made us go meet with Nintendo to see if they would consider being acquired. They just laughed their asses off. Like, imagine an hour of somebody just laughing at you. That was kind of how that meeting went.
Microsoft is such a joke kek.

Microsoft hasn't released a single successful new product since the last century, the whole point behind their business is that they basically have the desktop and small server OS and office suite monopoly, if windows market share dipped to mac levels, Microsoft would go bankrupt in 5 years.
The whole point of Microsoft business is that everyone uses windows, so they naturally flock to them to buy their addons, if no one uses windows, they won't sell a single product.

Azure has been Microsofts most successful product(service) of this century, why do you think the jeet is in charge, he was the manager of the team that made Azure.

The only reason azure is successful is because, they got several government contracts, basically any service that gets a government contract becomes successful.
And if they didn't release Linux servers, they would have gone under, since right now the majority of azure machines are linux.

            >jeet run business gets ahead on nepotism/cronyism
I know friend, but it's still their most(only) successful new thing.

Let me guess, they'd buy nintendo, close half of their studios, can't be arsed to release a single new game every year and all nintendo IPs become SaaS garbage.
