This build is the most fun tbh. I have legit tried every type of build now, and I always go back to DEX/ARC. If you spec it right, you even get enough points to put into faith for some extra incants.
Nothing gets me harder than wrecking 50 vigor npcs with poison and bleed on my 25 vigor bandit.
my first playthrough was DEX/ARC and i'm considering replaying it that way again since they've since fixed the scaling and just now buffed daggers and claws, and i haven't tried poison yet. that or trying out an INT build.
what do you usually run? how decent is poison? it looks fun but i heard it wasn't very good.
How about someone picks my build for my next NG+ run? Because nothing sucks more than having to go through half the game or more to do a specific run if it requires specific materials, weapons, spells, etc.
>NG+
Go STR/INT with the fallingstar beast jaw or the ruins greatsword and absolutely shitstomp everything in the game. Grab the death poker and spam the weapon skill for frost procs.
If you don't want to do that. Grab the rotten battlehammer, make it poison. Then grab the flamberge and infuse it with ice and put whatever ash of war you like on it. Put like 20 points in arcane, then do your standard quality build.
Abuse the frick out of status effects for the entire run.
You say that but I'm 50 hours in and still wearing my prophet robes, using only weapons and incantations that I feel like he would use. (mostly flame and healing since the vision he was banished for was that of flame)
Bandit is Dexterity/Arcane, so it's good with daggers and weapons that apply bleed and status effects. It starts with a bow.
Confessor is a melee/Faith hybrid that's sort of an all-rounder that starts with some stealth-y incantations, a good weapon, and a good shield.
The classes don't mean much as they just determine your base stats and starting gear. So they're good for min-maxing if you want a particular build, but you're not married to it if you decide to go in a different direction.
spoken as a true homosexual that doesn't know what he is talking about
the club is a good weapon and those few points more that the other classes have don't mean shit

Lol
Anyway DEX/ARC

FTH/INT
Wretch start
No leveling anything but FTH/INT and Mind and END (I'll allow VIG to 30 if you're a b***h)

What are some fun weapons for this? Moveset wise. Or even in general really, not just for DEX/ARC.
Just farm skeletons for 2 scimtars.
Katanas are for gays.
Str/Int
Pick deprived and put all your points into stamina and health. And only use weapons your base stats afford you.
The Bruce Lee build
faith samurai with lighting dragon magic
Better to go prophet and spec into DEX/FTH if you are going to do that.
but two uchis with samurai
Confessor
Confessor is arguably the best starter class, but it's fricking awful for higher level spec optimization. You lose 5-7 levels on most builds with it.
start as wretch (of course, why wouldn't you?)
go quality with some form of magic (your choice)
Maiden-less Wretch
guy with big sword who rolls

Wretch no leveling.
what do the bandit and confessor classes do?
Nothing, the classes mean absolutely nothing at all and you end up picking up the same shitty meta builds as always.
You say that but I'm 50 hours in and still wearing my prophet robes, using only weapons and incantations that I feel like he would use. (mostly flame and healing since the vision he was banished for was that of flame)
Armor early game is so shit and rare. Especially since it's all so heavy, you can't even wear the few interesting full sets or you are fat rolling
this, it's the same as every single souls game. Classes dont mean shit when you find the first BiS for your character.

40/40 INT/FTH Golden Order fundamentalist.
Vagabond always.
50 vig

Wretch with the starting club is the only option allowed for males
