Nimbus Dod only can hit 5 enemies per droplet, used to be infinite
Magical Harp now has a 5% damage penalty per enemy hit
Daedalus Stormbow's damage was nerfed, as well as its firerate with Holy, Unholy, Hellfire, or Jester arrows.
The stormbow was busted as shit but other changes make no sense other than "Nu-Logic hates fun"
it's weird to me balance is considered to be tweakable in a singleplayer pve only game
I don't know what happened at Re-Logic during 1.4 development, but they clearly forgot what was fun about the game. If they just kept it as 1.3.6 as they intended to with QoL and special seeds it would've been the perfect update to end it on.

i have been hearing for a long time that melee is useless now, it piqued my curiosity so much that I went and did a melee-only run and beat the game with as much ease as i always do
one thing I noticed is they made it so that you can't trap the Golem anymore, that was the only thing that gave a bit more difficulty

While I agree that Re-Logic made some retarded changes, Destroyer is still piss-easy (webM related was in Master Mode on the For The Worthy seed, 1.4.0.5)

any boss can be "piss easy" if you make a circuit specifically designed to do as much damage as possible while you just stand there. how about you try fighting it on a real platform arena?

kinda aides not gonna lie. I like the aspect of having to go retrieve your gear after death (i.e. needing multiple sets, needing to use potions when exploring so you don't risk having to do retrieval runs, making safe pathways to each zone of exploration) but 2 things make it extremely unenjoyable

I've lost 2 pieces of armor so far to this, not the biggest deal in the world, but the moment that happens with a 8 recipe deep accessory I won't be happy

yes, because the optional mode is very poorly implemented. the difficulty is supposed to be in dropping your items on death, not in items despawning for arbitrary reasons

ya, because when you go to character difficulty select, under mediumcore the caption is that you drop items on death. despawning items is not mentioned anywhere in the game unless you go into the wiki and read the rules around unplaced items and the reasoning is all around performance / lazyness, not for gameplay reasons
Graves really should be chests with your shit in them. Even that wouldn't be perfect because sometimes the dumb things can't land anywhere. Maybe have a grave robber NPC who sells you back whatever you lost on your last death if your grave just doesn't generate.

destroyer is the easiest boss and always will be, just hook yourself slightly away from his cores and spam excalibur or whatever sword you have and he gets melted really quick
