the problem is it actually does, its overloaded with post processing and random pixels which dont fit are everywhere, looks like they used some kind of pixel style filter on normal art.

I presume your issue is that the sprites on bottom are using variating pixel sizes instead of being uniform throughou the image? I'd agree that it's not ideal but to say it's an unreadable mess is hyperbolic and won't win you much agreement here even with the people who understand nevermind the zoomers who likely have no idea what you're talking about.
It's a compromise the game made, as every game needs to make especially indie games. And taking that into consideration I can still see what's going on. It's not perfectly crisp but far from "unreadable". Pixel art is a dying work-intensive artform as is. I'm not going to expect Metal Slug tier visuals to come out of a fucking indie budget.
