Funny considering they barely changed anything in the patches.
They added a fully functioning police system with chases and even an active bounty system where other Mercs will come after you.
Jackie is now playable if you save him in the beginning section, replacing silverhand and instead working with you to become the greatest Mercs in all of night city
Weapons are now fully customizable; you can take guns apart and adjust almost anything you want (eg. Adding a long barrel to your tech pistol, or changing your gun to a lever action, stuff like that)
Environments are now fully destructible, you can destroy whole buildings and after a few day
/night cycles you'll see the frame be built back up as it's surrounded by scaffolding
There's a radiant quest system now akin to Skyrim that's tied to your Merc rank.
The leveling system was completely overhauled so that loot isn't leveled, making unique weapons more useful. Equipment now has a greater focus on stat requirements which you'll need to enhance with cyberware. You can go full Borg now and beyond
A DLC was added allowing you to play through the entire story of EDGERUNNERS as David. It's fairly short but really well done.
There was a melee weapon overhaul too. Blocking now deflects bullets and enemy melee attacks can be parried.
There's a bunch more, but it's easier to just play and see for yourself.

In the next patch they're adding co-op multiplayer to the campaign with a maximum of 20 players per session as well as dark souls style multiplayer PvP invasions. It wasn't publicly announced yet but trust me you are gonna want to get the game now for when this patch comes out
