a shitty port that needs mods to function is not in any way better than the console original.

you can choose how many humanities to give instead of 1 at a time and waiting for the age of fire to end watching the animation 30 times
a new bonfire by vamos, it's a noob trap because getting out of there and backtracking the whole level is a chore
you can't pop humanities and divine blessings in multiplayer, phantoms/invaders get ds3 half estus(i forgot if it was from your current count or how much the area's bonfire was kindled)
ds3 weapon matchmaking(±5 from the highest upgraded weapon you have held, boss/twinkling start from +5 normal and get +2 for each upgrade) and downscaled password phantoms

said, but you can also rebind jump to the objectively better R3, hold down the item slot button to go back to the 1st item, and the dried finger is in a different location

        >Better or worse lighting, depending on the area (mods can fix this even with online play)
        >120+HZ option and 60FPS works with no glitches.
        >Built in borderless window to remove the built in v-sync
        >Quality of life changes in popping multiple consumables or covenant offerings.
        >Item and spell quickswapping by holding up/down on the dpad
        >Multiplayer supports 6 people, no more divine blessing duping being useful, has DS3/elden ring estus mechanics, gravelording works, and slightly better netcode

        Overall it's an improvement.

Worst PVP by a long shot. While it's fun, fight chaos blade chainmoms and hard swapping great club chaos murakomo chaos uchi havel moms all day is insane. Frick the backstab system.

Try infernoplus' remastest mod, getting a backstab is closer to DS2/3. You don't need to be a paypig to get the links from the patreon.

I'm playing it without any mods. DualSense works with Steam Input in Big Picture mode.

Yeah, that's how I first played DS1 on PS3, feels nostalgic. Just got rekt by Taurus Demon. Firebombs are useless against him.

1 mod is 1 mod too many. they even had the audacity to re-release the game but not broken and ask me to pay for it again, but with a 5% discount.

I got remastered in a trilogy pack that was cheaper than getting DS2 and 3 with all the DLC. Saw a white vagrant for the first time but learned there were actually 2 types of white vagrants after this.

Has anyone experience with using the Remastest mod for co-op. I've been interested in doing so after hearing it's got a "co-op invasion" item, which I would hope would allow getting around the issue of needing to kill the boss on your end as well to catch up to each other, and maybe even invasions being disabled after killing them if it uses the Forest Hunter code. I just haven't tested it myself because the peeps I would call on to do a playthrough don't want to have to download it all unless they know it works.

I'm still mad that they RAISED the prices of the souls trilogy after Elden Ring released even though I already own all 3. Not to mention that they shut off online for PTDE and delisted it from steam

Did PC ever get this? They still sell it for under $40, and it has all the games + DLC. DS3 is even the special "Fire Fades" edition which changes the title screen and the credits music is different.

    >try to replay 3
    >get to the swamp/cathedral area
    >burnout already starts setting in
I wish I knew what it is about this game that just doesn't jive with me the way the rest of the soulslops do.
I can replay DES, 1, 2, hell even Elden Ring any time and have fun start to finish but 3 feels like such a tedious slog.
