Playing this right now. It’s alright. It’s not game of the year, but it’s certainly not the worst game of all time like this board makes it out to be

most people shitting on it haven't played it or get filtered within the first couple of hours.
ikr. Starfield gets better after the first 130 hours, people are just mad.
>saying a game is alright means you are… le shill!
>Starfield gets better aft-ACK!

i fucking hyate zoomers that grow beards like this while looking like their 12. Who are they fooling?
You used to be the same 10 years ago, millennial.
The game is shit. Don't agree? Your taste is shit then. Simple as.
But enough about Armored core 6
yeah at this point i NEVER follow a game's development or listen to "promises" made since they're often broken anyway. there is no benefit to getting your hopes up high by inhaling the bullshit a company's marketing department puts out. because of this, i've been able to enjoy both cyberpunk and starfield. doesn't mean it's ok for these companies to lie but it's just a way better experience as a gamer to go into shit blind and with no expectations
so you ignore all the bullshit they pulled on people from their previous games too? not being antagonistic just curious.
Yes, I have idea what bullshit you’re referencing. I had heard of the canvas bag stuff with 76, thought it was funny.
interesting, thanks. enjoy the game.
That's fine, as long as you aren't paying for these games. If you ARE paying, then fuck you for supporting false advertising.
Why people make these blog threads?
No one is saying it's the worst game of all time. It's fun as an absolutely mindless shooter / fetch quest simulator. But unfortunately it is way too shallow. There are way too many systems, none of which are interconnected or fully developed. The writing is absolutely juvenile. People are just incredibly disappointed, which is a perfectly reasonable response to such a squandered opportunity as Starfield.
It's game of the year. mainstream outlets with china stakes in their companies won't say so, but it is.
It will win goty awards from any outlet not dependent on dirtty chinese money laundering. Who should really be ashamed of that is Sony: Selling their national pride to a cartoon disney bear.
I suspected Xbots were behind the anti-BG3 campaign on this board, good to have it confirmed.
Of course they are. They will never forgive Larian for making the issues with the Series S so readily apparent.
How can such a tiny fanbase be so overrepresented on the internet? They're all over this board, Twitter, and Reddit.
Bots, firms paid to shill, and always online autists. You're on Ganker, you've seen the fucking autists here that show up in every god damn thread about certain games. Barry is the ultimate example but in the Starfield threads we have the guy that spams Starchan and the guy who spams that Larian image.
>Seething 50cent
lmao enjoy being exposed
I'm glad BG3 proved to this board just how toxic Xbox fanboyism really is, this past week has surely opened a lot of eyes.
My biggest issue is all the shit locked behind the skill tree. I want to do all this shit but the game really feels built around you focusing on one aspect and then trying other shit with NG+ and NG++
Not sure if I'll get all the skills I want in my first playthrough without console commanding it. I just want all the damn ship building options already.
I've played every major release this year besides BG3 and right now I'd say Starfield is the one I'm enjoying the most. None of the big games have actually blown me away, but they've all been enjoyable in their own way. So far I'd rank what I've played
Starfield > AC6 = FFXVI > ToTK > Hogwarts. Just waiting on Lies of P, since I loved the demo. BG4 eventually. But Starfield has been a nice ride so far.
>finished Vanguard questlines
>finished crimson fleet
>already bored cause conterstalltion quests suck ass, and companions in there are unlikeable
I guess I will try Freestar sheriff questline next
do corpo questline in neon
Have you done the red mile?
Some gamers find aggressively mediocre games worse than aggressively bad ones because the bad ones can be amusing at least. Streamers in particular feel that way and most nugamers get their fucking opinions from streamers and youtubers for some reason.
It's just snoy propaganda because their platform is no irrelevant.
>snoy
Rent-free, Xcuck. Spider-Man 2 will outsell and get better reviews than Shartfield, btw.
It's okay OP
As long as you know you have no real imagination or taste
Eat your slop and shut up
Anyone else feel like the ship combat is tuned way too hard? Everything else on very hard is fine, but some ship battles feel impossible even after buying a new ship and upgrading. Or am I missing something?
There are some legitimate grievances (Why can't I eat food instantly when I find it instead of having to pick it up and eat it through the menu, or why can't I hotkey my fists so I can quickly switch to unarmed?), but overall the game is dragged through the mud almost entirely undeservedly here.
It's no masterpiece, but to call it outright bad is similarly deluded.
I'm playing it just to do a culinary tour of all of known creation.
