Man, as much as I still enjoyed ZC2 it was such a step down from the first on mechanics
      >Enemies attack one at a time instead of covering each other where applicable
      >On top of single-file they also leave themselves open to attack far more frequently than in the first
      >Unique fighting styles were removed so all the enemies fight with one of three generic movesets that match their weight class
      >fighting arenas are dominated by wide open flat rings instead of a variety that plays to your enemies' strengths (although fairly, ZC1 had quite a few fighting rings too)

I suppose most of the changes were in service to co-op and the others were consequence of changing engines but I never managed a stable game of co-op so I'll never know if it was worth it.

      Word is still my homie

I want Zeno Clash 3 so bad bros, I want to know how the story enda. I'd imagine they are worried about a proper Zeno Clash 3 not selling well since it's been so long since the second one and less people played the second one compared to the first, so even less will play the third. Maybe we will get a comic of they never make Zeno Clash 3

The marketing on this game was dogshit, hardly any onr knows it exists and even fans of the game didn't even know it was coming out this month.

Is that the publishers job or the developers?

Combat looked disapointing in the videos I watched buy once I learned the different things you can it's really good, it expects you to get good though. You can't cheese the tougher encounters or button mash, you got to get gud. The reviews I've watched call the combat clunky but if you time your parries for extra damage and dodge right when a hit lands for an instant dodge it feels really fluid.

in streams I've watched people arn't paying attention to their stamina bar, it gets used up when you attack and get hit. When it runs out you can still attack but take double damage but they just ignore and then wonder why they keep dying.

People say 2 is shit but I think it's awesome, combat is better and you get to see more of Zenozoik. The open world can be a little tedious to travel but nothing that ruins the game, make sure to collect all the cubes to learn about how Zenozoik and it's inhabitents came to be

guys can you tell me where to get more pact artifacts they're possibly the greatest thing added to any game and i have 5 summon artifacts, but only a single pact artifact

Also where the FRICK do I get the glass vial to trade for a new potion from the trader? Im 10 hours in and still only have one potion

      Anonymous

You can buy pact artifacts from Eo, you get glass from your doppelganger you fight in the north, playing the storybwill get you that anyway. I read online that the other glass is after you defeat one of the Nighttime bosses, I think it's the mammoth titan next to the town, some of the other nighttime bosses give you the armor pieces

I never used the pact artifacts but can you not summon the same guy from just using the summon artifact in multiple fights? or can you only summon them once and then need another pact artifact?

        Anonymous

no, I think you use it and then it adds them to a pool to be summoned a single time, you need 1 pact artifact to bank one and then 1 summon artifact to summon them, only the 4 great artifacts are reusable I think

you need to finish the area to the north but you can only go there once you've finished mountains to the east. After that go to the swamp first, if you go to the corwid woods the difficulty spike is too high

I played Zeno 1 and thought the aesthetic and story were deliciously bizarre but the combat was a real drag. Still, it was a very short game so whatever.

Picked up Zeno 2 on a sale years later, dropped it right in the tutorial, because wtf that combat system is just too bizarre and counter intuitive, it's like learning to play a musical instrument or some shit, I don't need that in my life.

Don't have any interest in this new game, sorry.

I thought the combat was good in 2, left click for left punch, right click for right punch, hold down for power attack. There are special moves aswell which are just hold down both mouse buttons. seemed pretty simple to me

ACE Team, Granzella and Icepick Lodge are the three companies that I always make sure to support whenever they have a new game.
The Eternal Cylinder was absolute top-tier ludokino so that certainly helped my decision too.
I just wish that the game’s title was a bit better. It sounds like a mobile game

So what kind of game is that? Please elaborate

      Anonymous

Explained as poorly as possible, it's a soulslike focused entirely on fistfighting. There's a ton of different movesets you can swap between and lots of enemy variety, and the artifact system lets you play a dice-based minigame to give yourself and your enemy buffs for the fight.

Oh, doesn’t seem too interesting, is it at least non-linear/open world?

          Anonymous

its kind of an open world, you have areas you need to go to first to unlock the next area but there are multiple side routes for exploring and you can revisit any old area to find extra stuff. There are secret bosses in certain areas at night that give special armor and items

For me the combat is way better and more interesting than the souls games,

First of all, the world is currently going through a global recession plus a possible economic collapse. Get fricked you god damn morons, the combination of rising food and gas prices with the slow uptake of the frickheads who need to turn a large profit means I have to choose between eating every day of the month or entertainment. I'm poor you fricks, get a god damn clue.

Second of all, will you morons learn to advertise your fricking games? Jesus christ of course you sell like shit when all you do is drop it into the lap of some disinterested journie and then do no community outreach or dev shilling.

Is it as good as the first Zeno Clash? I really liked that one, but found 2 to be really dissapointing.
Is it set in the same world? Are there some of the same characters from the first 2 games?
Does it have a first person mode? To me the first person is what makes Zeno Clash Zeno Clash so I was sceptical of the move to third person.

      Anonymous

It is set in the same world, not really connected. I haven’t played very much but it seems like the protagonist is another student of Metamoq like Ghat was, so it must be a prequel.
I think it plays more like ZC1 than 2 despite being in third person. You get to go into first person by using a meter that you fill up with regular attacks, do I suppose it’s more of a “powered up” mode

        Anonymous

Your master is the Golem, not Metamoq. Hasltedom hasn't even been build yet so it is set a long time before Zeno Clash, the desert hasn't even been formed yet

      Anonymous

it's set before the first Zeno Clash and there is 1 returning character. You should be able to figure out who it is from the tutorial, you also learn a little about the outsidr world and where the linking power comes from. You have a rage meter that fills up and takes you into first person mode and you do a high damage attack if you get enough hits in first person, but it's just a simplified version.
