Pokemon and Weight

With the advent of variable heights and weights, do you think Pokemon should add more simulationist elements and allow for the modification of the weight stat? For instance, consuming berries or meals could raise the stat, while training could lower it over time. I feel like this would make for an interesting mechanic, as there are a number of moves that change based on weight variations that could be given new life if you could alter the weight of Pokemon. Perhaps even speed could be modified by weight factors, so high weight Pokemon would move slower but have higher HP than lighter Pokemon.

What do you think? What other elements could a more fleshed out Pokemon weight stat modify in game?

    >density of iron is 7.874 grams per cubic centimeter
    >aggron is 2.1 meters tall; fudging that as 3m3 given how bulky it is; actual volume might be higher but i'm also gonna assume that there are some parts of it with a lower density than iron
    >square-cube law means that 1 meter cubed would be equivalent to 1 million cubic centimeters
    >7.874g x 3,000,000 would be 23,622,000 grams, or 23,622kg
    >only 360kg
even without trying to calculate a ballpark guess of what it would weigh, this thing's weight is way smaller than what it should be
also, despite getting considerably bigger, its mega form only has slightly more weight per meter of height
    >regular aggron: 2.1m tall, 360kg, 171kg per meter of height
    >mega aggron: 2.2m tall, 395kg, 179kg per meter of height

    >what about heavy metal ability
no one cares, it'll still be insufficient
if you want to prove otherwise, post one (1) time someone got anywhere meaningful in a tournament with a heavy metal aggron

for reference, the lightest metal is lithium, with a density of 0.534 grams per cubic centimeter

i still want game freak to change aggron’s weight to make sense for how big it is
and also its defenses, 70 hp for something that big and well armored has to be a joke

Aurorus can easily be over 800 lbs. 496 lbs is too low (not a fatgay post). Tyrantrum too.

    >inb4 some shit low kick joke or whatever's the move whose damage is based on weight difference.

Yes. Not a lot of Pokemon are heavy enough and the Pokedex's 4 digit kilogram limit isn't helping.

There should be more done with this. Like every time I get a float stone, I think "that's a cool item" but never even let anyone hold it because of how rare it is that an opponent would use a move like that. It'd be cool if some of these never used items had more use, like if more pokemon used Attract maybe the destiny knot would be a good item to hold

      Most Pokemon items are useless
