there is none anymore. The community is nonexistant, the late game sucks ass, and all the magic is gone because the wiki is practically baked into the game nowadays
what makes you think I dont? >walk up to anybody at a fishing spot(oh wait, the only one is barb fishing) >fishing levels? >*cricket noises* >go to lumbridge >say anything >nobody replies, just runs inside/out of the castle >go to pfft >say anything >*crickets*
NUH UH YSEE, ITS ALL YOOOOUUUURRRRR FAULT
The main one was that it was a browser game, so you could play it on any computer without downloading anything. Also the quests are in the style of point-and-click adventures that use your RPG stats.
The time it takes to reach 99 woodcutting or fishing could have been spent becoming pretty good at cutting down trees or fishing in real life, which I think is based
Because you could run it on your shitty home computer on your shitty 2005 internet connection without downloading anything or begging your mom for anything
Also it can be a very passive mmo, if you can divide your attention or just use plug-ins you can watch/listen to anything for hours with minimal inputs to keep you logged in/gaining xp in the skill you’re training
i haven't logged in since i got the zuk pet got 1b xp. i can't even be bothered to boot up my pc anymore for anything but work related stuff. anyone relate? i was gonna go for 200m mining (33m right now) but cba. i still love the game but i dont think i'll ever play it again
it's one of the grindiest out there. certain skills require you to do a method for 1000s of hours just to "complete" it. even for someone who isn't on the spectrum like me, that was really appealing. also the game is basically rhythm game, which makes pvm a lot more interactive. i guess it's also one of the few games that doesn't take up an entire screen so you can actually play it while watching a show/lecture or doing anything on the side. i'm not sure if i would play it if i hadnt as a kid though.

did they ever do law running in old school?
yeah for like 6 months on release. it died out when people came up with better methods that didn't require you to be a slave
I like that for certain loot there's a bajillion different ways that you could use certain items besides just crafting it. Leveling is relaxing for those that like the grind. Simpler MMOs were easier to socialize in. Daemonheim was a good idea and fun at first.
It used to be a browser game that you could play anywhere on anything, that's about it
These days though the game is a soulless shitheap but it's probably the MMO that's the easiest to ignore homosexuals in. You can reasonably enjoy OSRS as a singleplayer game until you start having to do the soulless new content.
nice. law running isn't really necessary and I never see anyone doing it. There are enough monsters and bosses that drop laws these days to make up the difference
Holy symbols. I did it in f2p but could of did it faster in member. I made 12,000 symbols when they were 800 gp at the ge
And crashed their price hard. My friend told me this strategy back when he played rs2 and I decided to try it in osrs to make money for a bond. It worked but I think the method is dead lmao
Theres no reason to cut trees or fish for 5 hours because bosses drop more resources than the time it takes to farm the stuff yourself with the skill lvl you just aquired.
Fishing is still one of the best AFK money makers. Woodcutting is much less useful unless you're an ironman, there's no other way to get redwood logs except doing the horrible Shades of Mort'ton minigame.
Heh I get it
:DD
Pour SVOL
runescape is dogshit
What's the appeal of Runescape over other MMOs?
Very simple mechanics, unique gameplay (even if it can be boring as sin most of the time), genuinely fun quests and stories.
Nostalgia

Ironman is the only fun way to play the game, getting items yourself feels much more rewarding
>the same boring single player gameplay, but now everything takes twice as long
wowie zowie
I love seeing you homosexuals seethe every thread.
Try actually talking to people instead of being a loser.

I didn't read your post past barb fishing to know you're wrong.
stay mad incel.

Fishing only takes a week now. Tempoross is a hell of a drug.
you need crushing levels of autism to understand
It's the babys first MMO. No idea why you'd play it past that though

Hate everything else about the game
Quests, I don’t understand how there are so many autists who have barely touched the quests. Imagine not touching the one thing salvaging your game

The PvM and bossing is super fun. You can grind the other stats while watching a movie or a series
the moral decision between paying the goblin for the map piece or grinding magic to get telegrab was a big deal when I was F2Ping at age 11.
>map is half of kanto
>I didnt read your post because I got proven wrong
:^)
This is where real homies got their first pay cheque
For me, its the Fishing Guild.

what were your secret F2P money making methods?

Flute salad>sea shanty
I saw the image and Sea Shanty 2 started playing in my head before I consciously recognized what I was looking at
Ian Taylor was a genius, no two ways about it.
>the hardest quest boss in the game isn't at the end of a grandmaster quest
