Leaf Guard will always be the answer and I strongly dislike how Game Freak treats Meganium, Tropius, and Aurorus.

    >requires harsh sunlight (increased damage from fire)
    >only protects the pokémon that has the ability (nothing for allies)
    >unlike hydration which activates at the end of every turn, leaf guard is instant thus not allowing the use of rest
    >only protects against status conditions

Early bird is worse than both.

At least Early Bird doesn't put the Pokémon at risk like Leaf Guard does.

Solar Power is worse because of the moronic and nonsensical damage over time effect

ahaha, no. Solar Power is amazing moron-kun
x1.5 on special attacks in sun without any drawback would be absolutely fricked up

Keen Eye is good in the campaign because the AI has no accuracy clause and will spam you with Sand Attack and shit as much as it can.
As well its useful for preventing wild encounters if you don't have Repels.

If it blocked Double Team and the like, it'd be even better.

Are you sure about that? Every time I've used a move like Swift or Vital throw when a trainer is in "MUST USE SMOKESCREEN 6 TIMES" mode it seems to snap the AI out of it and make them stop.

Thats reliant on you having one of those ---% accuracy moves though, innit?
Otherwise the AI is just telling itself that its succeeding so long as it isn't taking damage and is reducing your stats.

        That's just wrong.
the other day AI clicked Will-O-Wisp on my DACHSBUN which activated Well-Baked Body, so what did the AI do on the next turn?
That's right, it clicked Will-O again. highest AI btw

      You could just like
Fricking hit the little shit wasting turns spamming sand attack
If you get unreasonably unlucky you can always just switch to reset the drops

Stopping people from switching is powerful. The problem here is that it only works on Steel. So no it isn't shit.

The fact that Run Away still doesn't do anything when some mons have trapping immunity just because they're Ghost type is criminal

I find synchronize pretty useless since the pokemons likely to use reliable poison/burn/paralysis on you are immunte to it.

Mycellium Might is almost a pure downside.

Tangled feet? idk I guess it does something

If Keen Eye ignored minimize and double teams then it'd be fine, but it doesn't
